背景技术
当前无线通信设备非常普遍。各种不同的设备都可获得。蜂窝电话是的一种示例移动台无线通信设备。当前蜂窝电话具有很多可用的特征,包括数字照相机。对于这些照相机的使用例子包括拍摄照片,然后使用文本消息技术将它们发送到另一个用户。例如,人们还可以用他们的照相机来获得图像,这些图像被用作为他们的移动电话显示屏上的背景。

呼叫模块40继续进行到步骤80,以确定存储器部分26中的哪个所存储图像对应于被捕获的图像。有各种不同公知的图像匹配和图像学习技术可以使用。一个例子包括使用光学特性识别技术来确定所存储的图像是否对应于被捕获的图像。从本描述中获益的本领域技术人员可以从公知的技术中选择并且对呼叫模块40适当地编程以便识别被捕获的图像何时对应于至少一个所存储的图像。
一旦确定了合适的对应水平,在步骤82呼叫与对应的图像相关联的号码。这个过程允许个人将照相机24简单地指向期望的物体或视觉表示,以便自动地对与照相机24的视野42中的在存储器部分26中所存储的图像相关联的号码执行呼叫。
在一个例子中,基于被捕获的图像和所存储的图像内容之间的充分匹配来确定合适的对应。一个例子包括使用基于当前在照相机24的视野42中的事物而被捕获的图像并且确定对于至少预定量时间内匹配是否存在(例如,5秒钟)。当在足够长的时间内有充分的匹配,呼叫模块发起呼叫。
在图1的例子中,被捕获的图像44对应于所存储的图像34。此外,呼叫模块40呼叫号码30,该号码是与存储器部分26中所存储的图像34相关联的号码。
在一些例子中,被捕获的图像向呼叫模块40提供关于要从被捕获的图像(它自己)呼叫的号码的信息。例如在图1中,图像56向呼叫模块40提供信息,该信息指示要被呼叫的号码,这样该号码就无需预先存储在存储器部分26中。此外,在这个例子中,呼叫模块40包括合适的程序设计用来识别可见的号码、条形码、或其它要呼叫的号码的指示,并且由此进行回应。给出该描述,本领域技术人员能够选择或开发合适的程序设计来配置呼叫模块40,以便基于包含适当信息的被捕获的图像而具有号码识别能力。

Claims (10)

1、一种移动台设备(22),包括:
照相机(24),被配置用来捕获图像;和
呼叫模块(40),自动地呼叫从所捕获的图像确定的号码。
2、如权利要求1所述的设备(22),包括:
存储器部分(26),包含多个存储的图像,每一个所存储的图像与从移动台设备(22)中被呼叫的号码相关联;和
其中所述呼叫模块(40)确定所捕获的图像是否与所存储的图像中的一个图像相对应,并且自动地呼叫与该所存储的图像中的一个图像相关联的号码。
3、如权利要求2所述的设备,其中所捕获的图像和所存储的图像中的一个图像都包括人物、物体、设计、字母、数字、条形码或颜色中的至少一项的图像。
4、如权利要求1所述的设备,其中所述呼叫模块(40)从所捕获的图像的内容确定要呼叫的号码。
5、如权利要求1所述的设备,其中所述呼叫模块(40)使用光特性识别来识别所捕获的图像的内容。
6、一种执行呼叫的方法,包括:
基于由与移动台设备(22)相关联的照相机(24)所捕获的图像来确定要呼叫的号码;和
从移动台设备(22)自动地呼叫所确定的号码。
7、如权利要求6所述的方法,包括:
存储多个图像,每个图像与从所述移动台设备呼叫的号码相关联。
8、如权利要求7所述的方法,包括:
确定所捕获的图像是否与所存储的图像中的一个图像相对应;和
自动地呼叫与该所存储的图像中的一个图像相关联的号码。
9、如权利要求6所述的方法,包括:
从所捕获的图像的内容确定要呼叫的号码。
10、如权利要求6所述的方法,包括:
使用光特性识别来使用所捕获的图像的内容。
