Abstract

本发明公开一种电连接器,其包括基体以及收容于基体内的导电端子。基体设有由若干侧壁围设而成用于承接芯片模块的导电区。导电端子收容于上述导电区中用于与芯片模块电性连接。基体还设有可与基体分离的配合块以及与配合块卡持配合的配合槽,所述配合块包括一本体、由本体向导电区凸伸的一卡合部、自本体向下延伸的第一配合部以及自第一配合部凸伸的卡钩。所述卡钩卡持于基体侧壁的底端。

电连接器
【技术领域】
本发明是有关一种电连接器,尤其涉及一种用于电性连接芯片模块至印刷电路板的电连接器。
【技术背景】
在2007年4月27日公告的美国专利US7,207,808中,发明人公开了一种用于电性连接芯片模块至印刷电路板的电连接器。该电连接器包括绝缘本体、收容于绝缘本体内的若干导电端子、包覆于绝缘本体外侧的金属加强片、枢接于加强片一端用于抵压芯片模块的压盖以及枢接于加强片相对另一端用于锁扣压盖的拨杆。其中绝缘本体设有可由绝缘本体分离的配合块以及用于卡持配合块的配合槽,配合块于导电端子组入绝缘本体之后组配于绝缘本体中,其用于与芯片模块上相应的凹口配合从而防止芯片模块连接至电连接器上时产生误插。配合块由一竖直板部以及一与竖直板部横向相交的横向板部构成。绝缘本体的侧壁设有用于收容配合块的配合槽。所述配合槽设有与配合块的竖直板部配合的竖槽以及与配合块的横向板部相配合的横槽。
其中,配合块的竖直板部设有若干凸点,用于在配合块组入绝缘本体的配合槽内时,与配合槽内相应凹陷部配合以将配合块固持于配合槽内。然而,配合块仅靠凸点与配合槽干涉力固持于配合槽内,往往由于固持力不足而使得配合块容易产生松动。
鉴于此,实有必要提供一种改进的电连接器,以克服上述电连接器的缺陷。
【发明内容】
本发明所要解决的技术问题是提供一种可将配合块紧密的固持于绝缘本体侧壁内的电连接器。
为解决上述技术问题,本发明提供一种电连接器,其包括基体以及收容于基体内的导电端子。基体设有由若干侧壁围设而成用于承接芯片模块的导电区。导电端子收容于上述导电区中用于与芯片模块电性连接。基体还设有可与基体分离的配合块以及与配合块卡持配合的配合槽,所述配合块包括一本体、由本体向导电区凸伸的一卡合部、自本体向下延伸的第一配合部以及自第一配合部凸伸的卡钩。所述卡钩卡持于基体侧壁的底端。
与现有技术相比,本发明具有以下优点:所述配合块自上向下插入基体侧壁的配合槽中,并且由第一配合部凸伸的卡钩卡持于侧壁的底端,从而使得配合块稳固的安装于基体的配合槽内。

【具体实施方式】
请参阅图3所示,本发明电连接器,用于电性连接芯片模块至印刷电路板(未图示),其包括基体1、收容于基体1内的若干导电端子3、以及与绝缘本体1配合的锁固装置(未图示),锁固装置包括一中部设有开口用于固持基体的加强件。锁固装置还包括枢接于基体一端用于抵压芯片模块的压盖以及枢接于基体相对另一端用于锁扣压盖的拨杆。
基体1包括由相对的第一侧壁11以及第二侧壁22围设而成且用于承接芯片模块的矩形导电区130以及可分离组配于基体1的配合块2。在本实施方式中,配合块2为四块,且分别组配于基体1相邻的第一侧壁11以及第二侧壁22的非中间位置上。然而,实际使用中,配合块2亦可根据使用者的具体需要设置为其它数量及安装于其它位置。
请结合参阅图4及图5,为本发明电连接器的基体1的立体分解图。绝缘本体2设有布满整个导电区130的若干收容通道1300,导电端子3相应收容于该等收容通道1300中,并突出导电区的顶面和底面,以分别与芯片模块和印刷电路板上的导电部分(未图示)电性接触。
请参阅图5,为图4中虚线部分V所示的放大图,其中,基体1的第一侧壁11以及第二侧壁22分别设有用于收容配合块2的配合槽140。该配合槽140包括第一配合槽1403以及与第一配合槽平行设置的第二配合槽1404。在第一配合槽1403与第二配合槽1404之间设有一个隔离墙1402将第一配合槽1403与第二配合槽1404隔离开。
请参阅图2,配合块2包括一本体21、由本体21向导电区凸伸的卡合部232、自本体21向下延伸的第一配合部22以及自第一配合部22凸伸的卡钩220。所述卡钩220设有倾斜的导引面2200并且卡持于基体1隔离墙1402的底端。配合块2包括自本体21向下延伸与第一配合部22平行的第二配合部231以及位于第一、第二配合部之间与侧壁隔离墙1402配合的扣持槽24。
请参阅图6,为本发明电连接器的配合块2组入基体1后的立体图。配合块2自上向下从基体1的第一侧壁21、第二侧壁22上表面组入,组入后,配合块2的第一配合部22收容于第一配合槽1403中,第二配合部收容于第二配合槽1404中,设置于第一配合槽1403、第二配合槽1404之间的隔离墙1402收容于配合块2的扣持槽24中并且所述卡钩220卡持于基体1隔离墙1402的底端。
另,芯片模块设有与配合块2相应的凹口,当芯片模块组入基体1时,该等凹口与配合块2配合以防止芯片模块误插。
组装时,先将导电端子3组入基体1的导电区130内,然后再将与基体1分离的配合块2组入基体1的配合槽140内。因为导电端子3组入导电区130时,与基体1分离设置的配合块2尚未组入,未有突伸入导电区130的卡合部232,因此不会形成对导电端子3插入空间的干涉,从而避免了端子组装治具与配合块2的干涉,进而保证了导电端子3的顺利组入。

Claims (5)

1.一种电连接器,用于电性连接芯片模块至印刷电路板,其包括基体以及收容于基体内的导电端子;基体设有由若干侧壁围设而成用于承接芯片模块的导电区;导电端子收容于上述导电区中用于与芯片模块电性连接;其特征在于:基体设有可与基体分离的配合块以及与配合块卡持配合的配合槽,所述配合块包括一本体、由本体向导电区凸伸的一卡合部、自本体向下延伸的第一配合部以及自第一配合部凸伸的卡钩,所述卡钩卡持于基体侧壁的底端。
2.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述配合块包括自本体向下延伸的第二配合部以及位于第一、第二配合部之间与侧壁配合的扣持槽。
3.如权利要求2所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述配合槽位于基体的侧壁上,其包括第一配合槽以及第二配合槽,所述配合块自上向下插入配合槽中,配合块的第一配合部收容于第一配合槽、第二配合部收容于第二配合槽。
4.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述芯片模块设有若干凹口与所述配合块配合以防止芯片模块连接至电连接器上时产生误插。
5.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述卡钩底端设有倾斜的导引面导引第一配合部插入配合槽中。
