Abstract

技术领域
本发明涉及可用来处理织物的组合物。所述组合物包含银-聚合物络合物,该络合物被引入织物中,以提供经过处理的织物。
背景技术
在美国专利第6,469,097号中揭示了使用不饱和杂环单体制备的聚合物对环氧官能聚合物进行交联的应用。然而,该参考文献没有揭示含银聚合物或处理织物的方法。
发明内容
本发明所解决的问题是提供一种组合物,该组合物能够为织物引入生物杀灭性(biocidal)材料,以提供经过处理的织物,该织物具有能够防止通过洗涤除去生物杀灭剂的能力。

具体实施方式
本说明书和附属权利要求书中所用术语“共聚物”是指由至少两种不同单体聚合而成的聚合物。除非另有说明,这里所有的百分数是指重量百分数。单体的百分数是基于共聚物总重量计。

在本发明的一些实施方式中,所述组合物包含35-55重量%的衍生自单体X的聚合单元和35-55重量%的衍生自Y单体的聚合单元。在这些实施方式的一些方面,该组合物包含40-50重量%的衍生自单体X的聚合单元和40-50重量%的衍生自Y单体的聚合单元。

在本发明的一些实施方式中,以包括银在内的总聚合物重量为基准计,所述共聚物包含1-50重量%的银,或者银含量为2-40重量%,或者银含量为3-20重量%,或者银含量为5-15重量%。银是Ag(I)阳离子的形式,其通常以硝酸银的形式引入。此前例如在美国专利申请公开第US.2005/0227895号中已经揭示了所述共聚物的制备方法。在本发明的一些实施方式中,为了增大处理过的织物对银的保持能力,添加了未与银络合的另外的共聚物;并且/或者可以加入其它的胺化合物或聚合物。
在本发明的一些实施方式中,环氧树脂包含至少一种双官能环氧化合物,即每个分子包含至少两个环氧基团的化合物。在这些实施方式的一些方面中,所述环氧树脂包含二-缩水甘油基醚或酯,三缩水甘油基异氰脲酸酯,1-环氧基乙基-3,4-环氧基环己烷,乙烯基环己烯二酮,二羧酸的二缩水甘油酯,二醇或多元醇的二缩水甘油基醚。二缩水甘油基酯和醚的合适的例子包括双酚A二缩水甘油基醚,己二酸二缩水甘油基酯;1,4-二缩水甘油基丁基醚;乙二醇二缩水甘油基醚;甘油、赤藓醇、季戊四醇和山梨醇的缩水甘油基醚;环氧基间苯二酚醚;以及聚乙二醇的二缩水甘油基醚。在本发明的一些实施方式中,所述环氧树脂包含(甲基)丙烯酸缩水甘油酯和/或烯丙基缩水甘油基醚的聚合物。在本发明的一些实施方式中,所述环氧树脂的含量使得环氧化物与X单体单元的当量比为0.1∶1至10∶1。较佳的是,该比例至少为0.2∶1,或者至少为0.3∶1,或者至少为0.5∶1,或者至少为0.8∶1。较佳的是,该比例不大于7∶1,或者不大于5∶1,或者不大于4∶1。
在本发明的一些实施方式中,除了共聚物以外,还使用胺固化剂。这些胺固化剂是本领域众所周知的,例如在WO2005/080481中有所描述。这些固化剂包括多官能伯胺和仲胺,以及一些叔胺,包括含胺的聚合物。
适于根据本发明进行处理的织物材料包括例如丝、棉、毛、亚麻(flax)、皮革、毛发、纤维素、苎麻、大麻、亚麻(linen)、木浆、聚烯烃,例如聚乙烯、聚丙烯和聚丁烯;卤代聚合物,例如聚氯乙烯;聚酰胺,例如聚-对-亚苯基对苯二酰胺(例如购自DuPont的KEVLAR纤维),聚-对-亚苯基对苯二甲酰胺(例如,购自DuPont的NOMIEX纤维);三聚氰胺和三聚氰胺衍生物(例如购自Basofil Fibers,LLC的BASOFIL纤维);聚酯,例如聚对苯二甲酸乙二酯,聚酯/聚醚;聚酰胺,例如尼龙6和尼龙6,6;聚氨酯,例如购自Noveon的TECOPHILIC脂族热塑性聚氨酯;乙酸酯;嫘萦丙烯酸树脂;以及它们的组合。优选的织物包括棉、聚酯、棉-聚酯掺混物和聚烯烃。
在以下的实施例中将详细描述本发明的一些实施方式。除非另外说明,以下实施例中所有的分数和百分数都是以重量为基准计。
一般样品制备步骤:使用标准的自来水测定待处理基材的湿润粘附性能(wet pick up)。使用测得的润湿粘附性能确定为了在基材上提供所需的干处理水平,浴溶液中需要的含银共聚物的量。首先用28%的NH4OH将自来水的pH值调节到9.5-9.9,然后将合适重量的含银共聚物加入该自来水中。加入合适的量的其它组分,然后使用标准空气混合器对该溶液进行混合,直至溶液均一。使待处理的基材通过所述浴溶液,然后通过两个咬合辊(nip roll),压榨掉多余的溶液。将处理过的基材展开(tenter),在149℃下干燥2分钟。然后如所述对该处理过的干燥后的基材进行洗涤,然后用于Ag含量和/或效率测试。
使用含银共聚物制备样品,该共聚物包含45重量%的BA单体单元,45重量%的VI单体单元以及10%的AA单体单元,其包含11%的银,并且/或者如表中所示,将EPI-REZTM3510-W-60双酚A缩水甘油醚分散体(“ER 3510-W-60”,185-215当量/氧化物,以固体为基准计,购自Hexion,Inc.)或DOW CORNING Z-6040(“Z-6040”,环氧硅烷聚合物)加入所述处理水中。测得的环氧树脂的量是用当量环氧基团/含银共聚物中VI单元的当量来表示的。用于测试的织物基材是65%聚酯∶35%棉机织织物,单位重量(basis weight)为2.5盎司/码2(85克/米2)。

Claims (6)
1.一种可用来处理织物的组合物;该组合物包含:
(a)包含单体X和单体Y的聚合单元的含银共聚物;
所述单体X是N-乙烯基咪唑;
所述单体Y是烯键式不饱和化合物,其选自羧酸、羧酸盐、羧酸酯、有机硫酸、有机硫酸盐、磺酸、磺酸盐、膦酸、膦酸盐、乙烯基酯、(甲基)丙烯酰胺、包含至少一个环外烯键式不饱和基团的C8-C20芳族单体以及它们的组合;
(b)环氧树脂;
其中单体Y包括至少一种(甲基)丙烯酸烷基酯,以共聚物总重量为基准计,所述共聚物包含5-15重量%的银,所述环氧树脂的含量使得环氧化物与X单体单元的当量比为0.5∶1到4∶1。
2.如权利要求1所述的组合物,其特征在于,所述共聚物包含35-55重量%的源于单体X的单元以及35-55重量%的源于单体Y的单元。
3.如权利要求2所述的组合物,其特征在于,单体Y包括丙烯酸正丁酯和丙烯酸。
4.如权利要求1所述的组合物,其特征在于,所述环氧树脂是双酚A的二缩水甘油醚。
5.一种处理织物的方法,所述方法包括使所述织物与权利要求1所述的组合物相接触。
6.如权利要求5所述的方法,其特征在于,单体Y包括丙烯酸正丁酯和丙烯酸。
