Abstract

背景技术
吸烟制品,尤其是香烟,通常包括:一根烟支,烟丝(通常,是以切碎填充的形式)外裹着一层接装纸,以及一根与烟支首尾对接的圆筒状过滤嘴。典型地,过滤嘴包括一段醋酸纤维素的纤维束塞子,通过末端的接装纸与烟支相连接。主流烟气是通过围绕沿过滤嘴的一个位置的一排或数排气孔来实现通风。这种通风使得周围的空气稀释了抽吸出的主流烟气,从而减少了焦油的吸入。
当点燃一支香烟时,吸烟者从香烟被点燃一端的炭化体吸主流烟气。吸入的香烟烟气首先进入过滤嘴的上游端部,随后经过与香烟的接口端相邻的下游部分。

迄今为止,采用“塞子-空腔-塞子”结构的香烟的代表技术是这样的:沿着包含在空腔中的吸收床的位置而设置通风孔,以便离过滤嘴的接口端为通风孔留有足够的空间。这样,吸烟者的嘴唇就不会端住通风孔。然而,这样的设置将会降低吸附物质的过滤功效,因为它会提高主流烟气在至少一部分吸收床中的流通速度。
现有技术中公开了各种环形结构的过滤嘴,其具有含碳的环状过滤区。例如,欧洲专利申请No.579410中公开了大量香烟的实施例,其含有环状的含碳区域,其围绕着多孔过滤物质,或是由一层气相多孔隔膜组成的管状空腔。类似的,Crellin等人的美国专利No.3894545中公开了多种构型的环状含碳区域,其包围着一层气相多孔隔膜,或是由一层气相多孔隔膜包围着一相含碳物质棒。
加入了碳的香烟过滤嘴元件能够除去贯穿其间的主流烟气中的成分。尤其是,活性碳倾向于减少主流烟气中的某些气相组分的含量,从而引起烟气带来的感官特性发生变化。
尽管含碳过滤嘴具有这些优点,但至今它们都没有得到广泛的使用。在以前的设置中人们就已经发现:从碳过滤嘴吸出的主流烟气会有一种明显的气味,不受消费者的喜爱,因此后来市场上出售的香烟就不再广泛使用这种含碳过滤嘴了。此外,纤维束过滤嘴中的增塑剂会随着时间的推移降低某些碳成分,从而使带有这种过滤嘴设置的香烟在其保存期内会降低碳滤除气相组分的功效。
希望提供一种带过滤嘴的香烟,其混合了碳和/或能够吸附和/或吸收主流烟气中的气相组分的其它物质,同时也能提供令人满意的吸收/吸附、稀释和抽吸性能。
更进一步的,希望提供一种过滤嘴,其使烟气在含有吸收剂/吸附剂的区域中具有期望的滞留时间,同时在稀释区域的下游产生压力降,这样吸附/吸收层就能为烟气吸入提供需要的抽吸力,这时吸入的烟气已经减少了气相组分的含量,但仍然具有令人满意的口感和耐吸性。
发明内容
根据本发明,一种吸烟制品,比如一种香烟,包含一段烟支和一段含多种成分的过滤嘴,该过滤嘴中的纤维束分散着高活性的碳粒。在一个优选实施例中,活性碳还带有香味,并且在纤维束中含有高活性的碳粒。当主流烟气从过滤嘴的上游部分被吸出时,气相烟气组分被除去,活性碳中的香味释放了出来。设有通气装置来限制每次吸入时消耗的烟丝量,并且这种通气设置在大多数碳纤维束的下游位置,以便降低主流烟气流经过滤嘴的速度。可以相信,醋酸纤维素的纤维束中的高活性碳粒大大减少了主流烟气中的气相组分,其中包括减少了90%或者更多的1,3-丁二烯、丙烯醛、异戊二烯、丙醛、丙烯腈、苯、甲苯,以及减少了80%或者更多的乙醛。

发明详述
参照图1,本发明的一个优选实施例提供了香烟10,其包括可以点燃抽吸的棒状物质12例如烟丝,以及含多种成分的过滤嘴14,其通过末端的接装纸16相连到该棒状物质12。当点燃香烟10后,从烟支12产生并吸出了主流烟气,然后流经过滤嘴14。
在此,过滤嘴段之间“上游”和“下游”的相对位置以及其它特征是相对于主流烟气从烟支12吸出并流经含多种成分的过滤嘴14的方向来描述的。
优选地,过滤嘴14包括一段醋酸纤维素的纤维束18,其包含适当的增塑剂,如醋酸甘油,在颗粒20上带有高度活化的碳粒,遍布于整个纤维束。嘴端(烟嘴)部件22位于纤维束18和碳粒20的下游。
嘴端(接口)部件22优选是醋酸纤维素塞子的形状,或是其它中等适度的纤维或网状物,以降低粒子效能。优选地,粒子效能很低,挑出被淘汰者或总计被淘汰者,从而达到含多种成分的过滤嘴14的预期总RTD(耐吸性)。

碳粒20可以带有香味或是透着香味,这样,这些吸附剂颗粒不仅会去除主流烟气中的一种或多种气相烟气组分,而且会将香味释放入到主流烟气中。优选地,通过在混合(转动)鼓中或是供选的在以氮为流化剂的流化床中向一批活性碳喷洒香料而使香料加入到碳粒,其中,香料就可以喷洒在流化床中的碳粒上了。在将碳粒分散到整个纤维束18之前先将香料添加入碳粒中。

有利的是,本发明的通气孔24位于披碳纤维束过滤嘴的下游端部,这样主流烟气穿过绝大多数碳粒20的速度就会降低,而主流烟气在碳粒20中的滞留时间就会增加。反过来,增加的滞留时间会增强活性碳降低目标主流烟气组分的效能。烟被从通风孔24进入的外界空气稀释,并与主流烟气混合,以便达到大约45%-65%的范围内的空气稀释。例如,采用50%的空气稀释,经过稀释通风孔的香烟上游的流量就会减少50%,从而使烟气流速降低50%。
优选地,纤维束18上的碳粒20有至少90毫克到多于120毫克,目标含量是接近120毫克。这种碳含量提供了一种带香味的烟卷,并且能够大大减小主流烟气中的气相组分,其中包括减少了90%或者更多的1,3-丁二烯、丙烯醛、异戊二烯、丙醛、丙烯腈、苯、甲苯,以及减少了80%或者更多的乙醛。增加的碳含量还能确保其具备合适的活性度,以便在预期的产品保存期内(6个月或更多)足以实现这种降低。
当碳活性维持在90%至110%的范围内,以及目标接近于95%时,在纤维束18上使用增塑剂(比如醋酸甘油)不会产生明显的副作用。当纤维束18是带有醋酸甘油增塑剂的醋酸纤维素时,醋酸甘油可以是任意所需的含量(通常是大约6%),而且这种含量不会影响上述提到的降低主流烟气中的气相细分的功效。采用这种碳活性百分比,在香烟产品的整个保存期内都不会发生明显的碳失活现象,从而,气相组分的降低百分比持续出现在整个保存期。保存了12个月的香烟和刚生产一个月的香烟具有同样的性能。
举例来说,烟支12的长度优选49毫米,而含有多种成分的过滤嘴14的长度优选34毫米。纤维束部件上碳的长度优选20-26毫米,位于过滤嘴14末端的醋酸纤维素塞子8的长度优选8毫米。整体的焦油含量(FTC)优选在6毫克的范围内,抽吸口数为6口或是更多。
烟支12可以用传统的卷烟纸包裹,或是使用带状卷烟纸。带状卷烟纸具有间隔开的整体纤维素带21,其环绕已制好的香烟10的烟支一圈,以改变香烟的大面积燃烧速度,从而减少香烟10处于闷烧状态后点燃物质的风险。美国专利No.5263999和No.5997691描述了带状的卷烟纸,这些专利在此全部并入本文。
在图1的优选实施例10中,90-120毫克优选约120毫克的高活性加香碳粒20遍布于纤维束18中。在碳粒20中任选的香料含量为3毫克至6毫克,更优选约4或5毫克。每120毫克碳粒含6毫克香料的系统对滤除气相组分没有显示副作用。可以认为,此处参照的120毫克加香料的碳粒中包含香料。此外,正如前面提到的那样,碳活性在90%至110%的范围内,目标接近95%。尽管纤维束18中增塑剂的含量为大约6%,纤维束过滤嘴上的碳组分在香烟10的存续期内保持着其滤除气相组分的性能。
参考下面的表I至V,正如每张表的标题所述,其提供的数据显示了与一种市售香烟(控制样品)相比,测试香烟的主流烟气中某些气相组分减少的平均百分比。对于该被测试的香烟来说,百分比的第一栏显示的是在控制初期样品实现的平均减少量;而第二栏和第三栏显示的是测试香烟在分别经过了近6个月和近12个月的模拟保存期后的平均减少量。加速变质的过程包括在高湿度条件和低湿度高温条件中循环放置指定的一段时间。
如表格所示,即使存在着增塑剂,气相烟气组分在纤维束含120毫克碳粒的条件下大大减少了,并且甚至在模拟保存期的有效量接近一年的自然变质后。

图2显示的香烟10A具有较短的纤维束18A,以及分散在该纤维束中含量减少的碳粒20A。碳粒量大约为75毫克,并且碳粒未加香料。碳粒的活性度在90%至115%的范围内,其目标大约为95%。
现在参照图3和图4,替换的优选实施例包括香烟10B和10C,包括一段披碳纤维束过滤器塞子18,碳活性度有所增加(在90%至110%的范围内,其目标大约为95%),其碳含量大约为75-120毫克或者更多,更优选地,香烟10B中这种碳粒含量为大约120毫克,而香烟10C中这种碳粒含量为大约75毫克,两者均优选不加香料。优选的含量为大约90毫克。在这些实施例中,过滤嘴进一步包括位于披碳纤维束下游的香料释放部件32和32A(这个方向是从香烟抽吸的主流烟气的流动方向),如图3所示,滤芯32包括加香纱线33(正如在通常指定的美国专利No.6761174中所描述的),或是如图4所示的香料释放颗粒床35,这些颗粒可以设置在部件32中的“塞子-空腔-塞子”结构的空腔部分,或是作为其中放有香味释放颗粒的纤维束的塞子。
由于提高了碳含量和碳活性度,图3和图4中的香烟10B和10C具有更佳的能力去滤除气相烟气组分,延长保存期限,并提高感官性能。
而且,本发明可以适用于各类圆筒形的香烟、窄的以及宽的香烟。此外,尽管本发明优选用于未加香味的烟支,但加香味的烟草物质也考虑在内。
Claims (12)
1、一种香烟,包括烟支和披碳纤维束过滤嘴,该过滤嘴包括纤维束,碳粒遍布于所述纤维束中,所述披碳纤维束过滤嘴被构型和设置成使得当主流烟气从过滤嘴吸出时,基本上除去主流烟气中的至少一种烟气组分,并且所述碳粒的活性在90%-115%的范围。
2、如权利要求1所述的香烟,所述的碳有大约75-120毫克或者更多。
3、如权利要求2所述的香烟,所述的碳粒加入了香料。
4、如权利要求1所述的香烟,所述的碳有大约120毫克。
5、如权利要求4所述的香烟,所述的碳粒加入了香料。
6、如权利要求1所述的香烟,所述碳粒的活性大约为95%。
7、如权利要求1所述的香烟,所述的过滤嘴包括通风装置,并且通风在45%至55%的范围内,其中在披碳纤维束过滤嘴部件的下游有一个嘴端过滤部件。
8、如权利要求7所述的香烟,所述的通风装置包括通过末端接装纸的至少一排环形通气孔,所述接装纸将披碳纤维束过滤嘴与烟支相连接。
9、如权利要求8所述的香烟,所述通风装置离香烟的接口端至少有12毫米。
10、如权利要求1所述的香烟,所述披碳纤维束过滤嘴大大减少了主流烟气中的气相组分,其中包括在至少6个月的香烟保存期内减少了90%或者更多的1,3-丁二烯、丙烯醛、异戊二烯、丙醛、丙烯腈、苯和甲苯中的至少一种。
11、如权利要求1所述的香烟,所述披碳纤维束过滤嘴大大减少了主流烟气中的气相组分,其中包括减少了80%或者更多的乙醛。
12、如权利要求1所述的香烟,所述过滤嘴包括一个位于披碳纤维束下游的香料释放部件。
