Abstract
The present invention relates to a hybrid telecommunications cable (10), which cable has a cross section comprising: (i) a central protective sheath portion (20) containing at least one optical fibre (22), located in a position in the centre of said central protective sheath portion (20), and at least two central pulling elements (24) positioned adjacent to the at least one optical fibre (22); and (ii) at least two peripheral protective sheath portions (30), each peripheral protective sheath portion (30) comprising at least one electrical conductor (32a, 32b), wherein each peripheral protective sheath portion (30) is connected by a connecting portion (40) to the central protective sheath portion (20), the connecting portion (40) being easy to rupture in order to separate the peripheral protective sheath portions (30) from the central protective sheath portion (20).
