Abstract
Se describe un portador de corriente eléctrica, una cámara de circulación y un marco (CCF) combinados formados como una parte simple o doble (CCF) para su uso en dispositivos electroquímicos unipolares, tales como un aparato electrolizador de filtro prensa. El CCF está estructurado para definir una cámara de circulación interna para la circulación de electrolitos, productos y reactivos, así como aberturas que forman pasajes de flujo cuando se ensambla el dispositivo de filtro prensa. Fijadas en superficies opuestas de los CCF hay estructuras electroactivas planas eléctricamente conductoras que están en contacto eléctrico con el CCF. La cámara de circulación está formada por la profundidad del propio CCF entre estructuras electroactivas opuestas. Se ensamblan y comprimen múltiples CCF para formar el aparato electrolizador de filtro prensa. Las aberturas de pasaje de flujo dentro del electrolizador de filtro prensa ensamblado se alinean para formar vías de flujo, ubicadas por encima y por debajo de las cámaras de circulación. Los reactivos y el electrolito se introducen a lo largo de las vías de flujo del fondo. Cuando se aplica energía a los CCF y las estructuras electroactivas, los reactivos, una vez que fluyen hacia la cámara de circulación con el electrolito, experimentan reacciones redox para producir los productos que luego se recogen y salen del electrolizador en las vías de flujo superior.
