Abstract
Un sistema de distribución de cables que incluye una cabecera conectada a una pluralidad de dispositivos del cliente a través de una red de transmisión que incluye un nodo de fibra remota que convierte datos digitales en datos analógicos adecuados la pluralidad de dispositivos del cliente. El nodo de fibra remota que recibe un paquete de interfaz de protocolo externo descendente que incluye una porción de encabezado y una porción de datos en la memoria. El nodo de fibra remota codifica y transmite la porción de datos a al menos uno de la pluralidad de dispositivos del cliente, en donde la porción de datos se transfiere desde la memoria usando el acceso directo a la memoria en base a un descriptor de búfer para la codificación.
