Abstract

La invención se relaciona con un método y sistema para mejorar la eficiencia energética de la planta de PSA/VPSA durante tiempos de demanda de producción reducida y eficiencia de capital mediante la optimización de compresores de productos de alimentación, vacío y centrífugos para lograr un menor consumo de energía y un menor costo de producción de productos gaseosos. Más específicamente, la presente invención se relaciona con un nuevo proceso y sistema de reducción de PSA/VPSA energéticamente eficiente que usa un compresor de producto centrífugo de accionamiento directo de alta velocidad para lograr la producción deseada. Puede lograrse un consumo de energía significativamente menor mediante el uso de un flujo menor y una presión superior de adsorción menor en el rango de producción menor.
