Abstract

Se presenta un sistema para cultivo de almejas tipo baby de la especie Venus antiqua que se utiliza en sistema tipo long line. El sistema de cultivo está fabricado de plástico de alta densidad y comprende, al menos, una estructura superior de anclaje, desde la cual se suspende el sistema; unidades de cultivo, que se apilan entre ellas y que soporta las bandejas; y, las bandejas de cultivo. Estas últimas se encuentran separadas entre sí por 30-60 cm, este espacio libre permite un flujo de agua con alimento, y dentro de cada una de ellas se debe colocar un sustrato, preferentemente de arena, la cual debe tener un espesor mínimo de 30 cm para que las semillas puedan enterrarse.A system for growing baby clams of the Venus antiqua species is presented, which is used in a long line type system.
