Abstract
Un método y sistema para manipular datos desde dispositivos conectados; el método comprende: recibir, de una pluralidad de dispositivos, un flujo de datos de serie de tiempo que comprende una pluralidad de registros y una identificación de tiempo asociada con cada uno de los registros; asociar una o más etiquetas con los individuales de los registros; fragmentar el flujo, dividiendo el flujo de datos en una pluralidad de fragmentos contiguos, cada uno de los segmentos contiguos incluyendo una pluralidad de registros, en donde un fragmento comprende una unidad básica de transferencia de datos para almacenamiento y recuperación; crear un índice de los fragmentos, en donde el índice asocia la identificación de tiempo y una o más etiquetas; transmitir cada uno de los fragmentos a una primera ubicación de almacenamiento remoto; y almacenar el índice en una segunda ubicación de almacenamiento.
