Thread changing device for ship pulling machines. The invention relates to a device on embroidery machines, which is intended to facilitate the change from the yarn, for example with more colored embroidery.
Up until now, most of the yarn unthreaded from the needles was cut off and used as waste. Recently the remaining thread ends have been wound onto the thread spools again in order to save thread, which is cumbersome and time-consuming, but is nevertheless advantageous because it avoids waste. In order to be able to wind up the thread ends as quickly as possible, attempts have already been made to drive the thread reels themselves in their entirety when changing the thread in order to unwind the thread that is guided around the emery roller. This could be done without difficulty and without the thread tearing during unwinding with equally thick spools of yarn.
But if the bobbins driven at the same speed of rotation have different diameters, a more or less strong train is exerted on the thread stretched out between the emery roller and bobbin according to the changed bobbin cross section. The consequence of this is necessarily a break in the yarn if the pulling effect is too great. The intended purpose of avoiding waste of unwound yarn cannot therefore be achieved in this way. The present invention now offers the possibility of even drawing off the yarn from the emery roller despite the unequal bobbin diameter.
This is achieved in that the emery roller and the bobbin mandrels are driven together. The coils themselves are loosely attached to mandrels that are inevitably driven and are simply dragged along by friction. It cannot be the case that the stronger bobbins with the larger diameter pull off more yarn than the smaller bobbins, because the thread stretched out between the bobbin and the emery roller regulates the winding speed of each bobbin. Due to the friction between the bobbin mandrel and the bobbin, the latter is taken with it to the extent that the thread is released from the emery roller.
The drive transmission is adjusted so that the thread always remains taut even with the weakest bobbins. In spite of the coupling of the drive of the emery roller and the bobbin mandrels, an automatic compensation takes place during the winding process because the bobbins are only carried along by friction.
In the accompanying drawing, the subject matter of the invention is shown in a cross section (Fig. 1) and the associated floor plan (Fig. 2) in an exemplary embodiment.
A thread reel carrier 2 is rotatably arranged on a shaft 1 extending over the length of the embroidery machine, which is secured by a locking device 3 that of FIG can be of any type, is held in the set position. On the circumference of the thread spool carrier 2, thread spools 4, 4 'and 4 ″ of different colors or of different types are provided.
A drive means, for example a chain wheel 5 , is keyed onto the shaft 1 , which is connected to a drive device on the shaft 6 of the emery roller 7 < / B> arranged further chain wheel 8 is brought into connection by a chain 9 . The sprocket 8 is expediently provided with a crank 10 and can be moved axially on the shaft 6 for the purpose of coupling and uncoupling move.
For this purpose, the near 11 of the sprocket 8 is equipped with coupling teeth 12 which can engage in corresponding recesses 13 of the emery roller hub 14.
Each of the spools of thread 4, 4 ', 4 "sits on a mandrel. 15, which has a plate 16 in its lower part, on which the spool of thread, if you see The coil mandrels 15 and plates 16 are rigidly connected to the little wheels 17, 18 and are driven by the intermediate wheels 19. The latter, in turn, are driven by means of bevel gears 20 connected to them by a plurality of bevel gears 211 arranged on the shaft 1. The form of this drive transmission is self-evident - Borrowed only one, for example, and the latter can be done in a simpler way if necessary.
The use and operation of the device described is now as follows: When the moment to change the thread has come, the embroidery threads are separated in the immediate vicinity of the fabric surface and unthreaded from the needles. Then the sprocket 8 is brought into engagement with the sanding roller by axial displacement, and the sanding roller 7 and therewith also the shaft 1 of the Turn the thread spool carrier in the direction of the arrow using the crank 10 . This gives the mandrels 15 their drive. They take the coils 4, 4, 4 "with them by friction.
The bobbins do not need to exert the slightest force to pull off the thread in front of the emery roller, because the emery roller releases the thread itself. As soon as the thread released by the emery roller is used up, the bobbins with a large diameter are moved onto their thorns 15 as a result of the thread tension that now occurs. slide on the plates 16 until the emery roller has released more thread.
When all the thread ends are wound up, the crank 10 is released, the coupling between wheel 8 and emery roller 7 is released by the action of a compression spring. The locking device 3 is then pulled back and other thread spools are brought into the working area by turning the thread spool carrier accordingly.
