Machine for making lined packaging for cigarettes, matches or other goods. The present invention is a machine for the production of lined packaging for cigarettes, matches or other goods, with cores moving on an endless path, which cooperate with a device forming the outer cover around the cores, the machine with an auxiliary folding device is provided which cooperates with said cores and folds sheets serving as an inner cover around the cores.
In the drawing, an execution example of the invention is shown.
Fig. 1 and 2 show the parts of the Ma machine schematically, as far as it is necessary for the understanding of the invention Ver.
1, 1 .... are cores that are moved on an endless path in the direction of the arrow. The layers of stan niol, cardboard, paper or similar material are folded around these in the form of sleeves.
In order to produce the inner casing, for example from tinfoil or similar material, the machine is provided with an additional folding device _A . The folding device A and the main folding device labeled B are of the same design.
A strip of tinfoil 2 with a strip of thin paper, to reinforce the Stan niols, is unwound by two feed rollers, 3 and 4 from the roll 5 and guided over a support 6 and two folding plates 8 and 9, which are in the same plane. The strip is then cut off by a knife 7 which is attached to a swingable arm and is operated in any way be.
The tinfoil and paper sheets thus cut from the strip are passed through one of the cores 1 between the folding plates 8 and 9 and, as FIG. 2 shows, pressed against the sides of the core. During this process lie .die two rollers 10 and 11, the fully swingable, spring-operated arms 12 and 13 are carried against the sides of the Ker Nes and press the sheet against it. During the following process, a third roller 15, which is carried by a swingable, spring-operated arm 14, presses the sheets against the front of the core.
When the core has reached the position shown in Figure 2, it stops. The folding plate 9 then presses the one protruding end of the sheet over the core 1. The other protruding end is then turned inward by the folding plate 8, so that the ends are in the position shown in the position a of FIG Kernes shows. A pressure bar 16 belonging to the core, which participates in its movement, is then pressed against the core and holds the ends of the sheets in the folded position.
When the next core has reached the position in which the ends of the next sheet are folded over by the folding plates 8 and 9, then the first core has reached position n. In this position, three of the bottom flaps of the cover are folded over by folding 1 ″ r, 18 and 19. The folding levers 17, 18 are fastened to swingable arms which are provided with toothed segments 20 and 21. The latter interlock with one another be actuated by an arm 22 which is set in motion by a spring, not shown, and by a cam disk, also not shown.
The folding lever 19 is carried by a swing ble arm which is actuated by an arm 23. A spring and a cam disk act on this (not shown). The folding levers 17 and 18 fold the narrow bottom flaps inward, then the folding lever 19 folds in one of the wide bottoms. * The second wide bottom flap remains up. The core with the shell then goes through the folding device B.
On the folding plates of the device B, a sheet of paper 24 has previously been placed, which is prepared accordingly for the outside of the envelope. The folding of the paper sheet 24 around the core, which already carries the stannel casing, takes place in the same way as the folding of the tinfoil casing itself. While the paper is being folded around the core. has moved back the pressure bar 16 so as not to obstruct the folding panels. When the core leaves the folding device B, the paper is folded around the core, as the stel ment b of the cores shows, and the pressure bar 16 presses all ends against the core.
One of the ends of the sheet of paper is provided with glue so that the envelope is permanently closed. The bottom flaps of the paper sleeve are then folded over.
It is best to arrange the suitable folding device in such a way that it first folds over the narrow paper flaps, then the unfolded tinfoil flap together with the paper flap above and finally the second wide paper flap, which is provided with glue and so on the one before folded paper flap is attached. One of the tinfoil flaps has also been attached in this way and holds the tinfoil casing firmly in its inner position.
Since the folding processes go ahead at the same time at A and B and the folding of the bottom flaps of the tinfoil envelope happens. while the cores in A and B stand still. the processes in the machine are not delayed by the arrangement of the additional folding device, but the machine delivers the same amount as when producing simple tubes.
The machine can also be used for the production of packaging in which the inner sleeve is made of impregnated paper or the like, for example.
