Description
B. Aluminium, hergestellt.
Hot-head engine with an ignition chamber connected to the cylinder by a narrow neck. Combustion engines, under otherwise the same conditions, produce greater power and lower fuel consumption with higher compression. The compression can be seen to increase if the compression space is given a smaller inner wall area.
This is based on the fact that # the wall of the compression space stores a fairly acceptable amount of heat despite the external water cooling and transfers it to the layer of the combustible fuel gas-air mixture in contact with it.
The larger the inner surface of the wall of the compression space is, the more heat is transferred to the combustible mixture. In the case of locally strongly heated gas mixture, however, the compression cannot be driven as high as in the case of a less strongly heated mixture, because in the former case self-ignition of the mixture already occurs at a lower pressure ZD.
CT1ü711 head motors are expediently set up in such a way that their ignition chamber is connected to the cylinder by a narrow neck. This naturally gives the compression space a very large internal wall area. According to the invention, the cooled part of the wall of the ignition chamber "desVerbindungsliales" and the rest of the conduit space are made of a material that conducts heat well, which has a higher conductivity than the cast iron used up to now,
for example aluminum. This ensures that more heat is conducted away from the inner surface of the distribution space and thus the gas mixture in the vicinity of the wall surface remains colder, so #class the compression can be driven higher without spontaneous ignition occurring.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention. The ignition chamber a is arranged at the top next to the Z3, linder b and connected to it by a narrow neck c. The glow plate d is inserted into the ignition chamber from below.
The wall of the ignition chamber including the neck, which is under the influence of the coolant from the outside, is just like that of the rest of the conduit space from a g1,111 21 tD% vä.rmele # .tendeii means, e.g. B. aluminum.
