Rotationsmaschine.
Rotary machine. The invention relates to a Rotationa machine with GE regulated volume change of Arbeitsmit means in a rotating hollow screw by liquid piston.
In this machine, the liquid pistons are prevented by utilizing the centrifugal force from rotating around the screw axis; this forces them to only advance in the axial direction.
An embodiment in the form of a prime mover, which illustrates two different variants, is shown in the drawing in an axial section.
In a closed, stationary Ge housing 1 equipped with the helical cavities, connected in pairs by ribs 9 drums 2, 3, 4 and 5 are mounted on the arms 6 of the hub stars 7 and 8 with pins 10 so that they are each around their own axis and at the same time around the axis of the hub stars or the bearings 11 and 12 can rotate.
The former movement is directly caused by the propellant in that it expands progressively in the axial direction in the successive, widening screw threads, for example 18 and 14 of drums 2 and 3; The second movement is generated indirectly by the fact that the gear 21 sitting on one of the coupled, rotating drums 2, 3 or 4, 5 with the intermediate gear 23 fastened to the star 8 by pin 22 and the intermediate gear 23 usually by the brake 24 and shaft 25 Fixed pinion 26 forms a Pla designated gear, the wheel 23 .auf the R.itzel 26 rolls.
The shaft 29 is driven by the planetary gear through a ring gear 27 on the star 8 and a gear 28.
The rotary movement around the axis of the bearings 11 and 12 subjects the drums rotating about their own axis to the effect of centrifugal force, so that the liquid located therein remains approximately in the plane containing the two axes of rotation with its focus. The liquid is broken down into individual liquid pistons and conveyed through the screw threads as in the Archimedean water screw. The upper half of the figure with the pair of drums 2, 3 represents an embodiment of the engine when pressurized gas or steam is available as a propellant, while the lower half with the pair of drums 4, 5 the case of an internal combustion engine, in particular an oil machine, explained.
A set 30 that is stationary with the housing 1 is designed as an inlet flange for the working medium and is connected by tubes 31, 32, 33 to the chambers 34, 35 and 36, which are open on all sides on the circumference. A rotating control housing 37 with cylinder mirror @Olel 38, connecting channels 39, connect the distributor heads 40 and 41 (of which there may be more according to the number of drum pairs) and flat control mirrors 42, 43, 44 and 4.5 then leads the working equipment the drums in the manner indicated by arrows.
In order to come into operation, the machine is first driven from shaft 29 in the direction of arrow 50, which corresponds to the direction of rotation of the engine. The liquid used to form the liquid piston is fed through line 33 to space 36 and thus to channels 39.
Under the action of centrifugal force it flows into the central part of the distributor heads, for example 40, goes through opening 51 in the hubs 17 'and 18' and is due to rotation of the drum 2, 3 about its own axis by the screws Aisles 17 and 18 are conveyed through to the side chambers of the distributor head, in which a liquid level is set by the effect of the centrifugal force, which is regulated according to the amount of liquid supplied and, in the steady state, according to the performance of the machine.
since continuously through the outer openings in the control plate 42 and 43 with each passing stroke the end of the widening screw threads 13 and 14 liquid is filled into these screw threads to form the liq sigkeitskolben. The filled liquid, more or less filling the first screw thread, is in the screw threads under the -N # @ 'irl @ ung of the centrifugal force and, as a result of the rotation of the drum around its own axis, screws itself through the helical cavities to the extreme To be thrown into the housing 1,
in which it runs on the walls and then through filters 47 and 48 through into the collecting space 46, from which it is again sucked in through the line 49 indicated schematically. If necessary, in the event of fluctuations in the number and! in terms of performance, there may be special pumps for pumping the liquid.
After the liquid to form the liquid piston has entered the machine in the manner described during start-up, if pressurized gas or vapor is available as a propellant, this is fed through line 3.1, space 34 and channel 39 'into the inner part of the distributor heads out and for example for the drum 2, 3 through the inner openings of the control mirrors 42 and 43 when passing the end of the screw threads 13 and 14 filled into this,
only to be trapped between the previous and the next liquid piston when the screw is turned further. The propellant then migrates, remaining on the inside of the drum. with the liquid piston through all the screw windings, where it expands from gear to gear as a result of the expansion of the gears and thereby exerts a torque on the drum in the sense of the initiated rotation, so that the external drive ceases and force is applied to the Wave 29 delivered who can.
The liquid piston that flies out at the end of the banjo bolts releases the gas that has expanded to almost external air pressure, which is then expelled as exhaust gas into the housing 1 and through the exhaust opening 58.
So that the gas does not pass the liquid piston on the inside as the expansion progresses in the further screw threads 13 and 14 with constant radial depth, V4Täncle 59 are installed towards the end of the screw threads 13 and 14 in this ra dial, running in the axial direction , limit the cells and only release a connection 60 for the entry and exit of the gas and the liquid on the outer cylinder jacket of the hollow screw.
If pressurized, combustible gas-air:; emic is supplied as a propellant, the machine can work as an internal combustion engine, in that the gas is ignited by an ignition device after it has been filled into the screw thread and terminated by a liquid piston, which initially increases the pressure. The combustion products then expand in the following helixes; this also includes the feedback ;; to exert the pressure on the banjo bolt.
The ignition device is indicated on the drum 3 in an exemplary embodiment. The spark plug 61 is permanently installed in the drum and comes in each case in the innermost position with a fixed contact 62 in contact, whereby a Züncl: spark jumps.
In order to avoid greater losses during the working process due to the transfer of propellant to the liquid piston, the liquid required to form the piston is preheated by not pouring it from the distributor head directly into the working screw passages, but first in the manner described Countercurrent to the working screw threads 13 and 14 is passed through the conveyor screw threads <B> 17 '</B> and 18'.
If the machine is to be operated as an oil machine, the process is the same, except that instead of the compressed gas-air mixture, compressed combustion air of the appropriate temperature is fed into which, after being filled into the screw, fuel oil is injected using compressed air in a finely divided state as indicated in the drawing for drum 4.
The control valve 64 is actuated by a fixed stop 63 in such a way that when the oil and the compressed air are fed in through pipe 32 and space 35, the injection takes place against the pressure of a check valve 66 at the moment when the externally cylindrical barrel is turned off 65 of the drum on the correspondingly twisted mirror of the control valve 64 sweeps past.
In order to make the work process of the internal combustion engine economical, the gas-air mixture or the combustion air must be fed into the screw threads before being filled. as assumed to condense.
This can be done in a special compressor, which is built as the reverse of the engine and receives an external drive. or the compressor can be placed in front of the engine on the same axis and combined with the latter, so that the entire work process is carried out in the same machine, as is shown for the oil machine in the drums 4 and 5 that are to be cooperated. 5 acts as a compressor, 4 as a prime mover.
From the distributor head 41, the liquid passes through the hub 20, the space 67 and the holes 68 and 69 into the wide end of the screw thread 16, which is counter-wound for the compressor, and liquid pistons are formed in turn under the action of centrifugal force, while simultaneously through the openings 70 air from the housing 1, which is connected to the external air by nozzle 71, enters the screw thread. As a result of the rotation of the drum in the direction of the prime mover, but with an oppositely wound, narrowing screw thread 16, the air is compressed against the distributor head.
The liquid then passes back into the distributor head through the outer opening in the control plate 45. as long as the inner screw end of 16 is immersed in the liquid. When diving out, the compressed air passes through the inner openings in the control plate 45 in the distributor head to be immediately filled into the screw 15 of the drum 4 for work. The duct 39 'for air supply, space 34 and pipe 31 are no longer available.
The liquid can be used in the compressor as it is, or it mixes with the continuously fed liquid, thereby feeding both drums.
If the machine works as a gas machine, the compression of the gas-air mixture can also be carried out in an equiaxed upstream compressor, as previously described for the machine. The compressor drum 5 would then have to work together with the drum 3. In the case of internal combustion engines, for example, the compressor drums would run in the left housing part and the engine drums would run in the right housing part.
Since then on the left in the housing air or Gas-air mixture, exhaust gas would be on the right, either a partition wall or, as shown, a partition wind turbine 73 with associated guide vanes 74 can be arranged. The wind turbine can also have the purpose of diluting and cooling the exhaust gases by drawing in air from it in order to ensure the lubrication of the machine parts.
