Fig. 1 zeigt, vom Führersitz aus verstellt.
Device to facilitate the control of aircraft by means of auxiliary pressure surfaces acting on the control. The invention relates to a device for facilitating the control of aviation testify means of auxiliary pressure surfaces acting on the control. According to the invention, the auxiliary pressure surfaces are linked to the steering wheel in the immediate vicinity of the rear edge of the steering wheel.
In the previously known arrangements, the auxiliary control surface is arranged at a greater distance from the main control surface, be it that a lever arm extends beyond the length of the main control surface to the front or rear, be it that the connec tion between the main control and the auxiliary control transmission organs are arranged require the auxiliary rudder to be at a distance from your main rudder.
It has now been shown that this stand between the main tax and the auxiliary tax is detrimental to the effect of the auxiliary tax by forming undesirable eddies in the space that affect the effect of the auxiliary tax. These disadvantages are eliminated by the device according to the invention. By arranging the auxiliary pressure surfaces directly on the rear edge of the main control surface, it is now possible to place the auxiliary pressure surfaces in the plane of the main control and thus give them an arrangement that is perfect in every respect.
The drawing represents several Ausfüh approximately examples of the subject matter of the invention. In the example of FIG. 1, A denotes the wing and 11 the main control, at the rear edge of which the auxiliary control 10 is arranged directly. The auxiliary steering is carried out by means of levers or cables; like this . Fig. 1 shows adjusted from the driver's seat. If the auxiliary rudder is now set so that, as the drawing shows, it is directed upwards towards the main rudder, then an overpressure forms in the concave side of the angle between the main rudder and auxiliary rudder, and a negative pressure on the convex side, who steers the main rudder down.
In order to bring the main rudder with the help of the auxiliary rudder exactly into every angular position intended by the person controlling and to hold the main rudder in the intended position with the help of the auxiliary rudder, a device is used as is shown purely schematically in FIG. The freely movable main rudder 12 carries a toothed segment 14 on an axis 13, which is in engagement with a toothed segment 15 also mounted on the rudder. This is on one side with a crank arm 16 on the axis of the auxiliary control 17 by a rod 18 a related party. Two further main control surfaces 19 are coupled to your main control 12.
The control process is now as follows: if segment 14 is distorted by 21), for example, when the diameter of tooth segments 14 and 15 are in a ratio of 4: 1 to one another, the smaller tooth segment 15 and thus also that with associated auxiliary control 17 pivoted by 8. This comes under pressure and swivels the main control 12.
But since the toothed segment 15 -sich at the same time also unrolls on the Zahrrsegnrent 1-1, when pivoting the main control, the auxiliary control is automatically rotated back to its initial position, until the forces are in equilibrium.
A similar phenomenon would have occurred if the ratio between the diameters of the tooth segments had been brought to the value 1 or below. In this case too, when the main steering wheel deflects, the auxiliary steering wheel is turned back. The main advantage of the larger ratio is that when the tax process is initiated, an excess of tax power of the auxiliary tax is achieved, which guarantees that the main tax will definitely reach the intended position. The excess force counteracts the main steering wheel too far.
If it wanted to pivot further, segment 15 continues to roll on segment 14 and, as a result, the auxiliary rudder moves sharply into a position in which it counteracts the further movement of the main rudder.
The same process always takes place when the main rudder wants to leave the position assigned to it, including the zero position, from any (round. In the event of an unintentional movement of the main rudder, for example <B> -00 '< / B> swivels, the auxiliary control is adjusted to the counterpressure position by 8. The control will therefore reach and maintain the position that is instructed to them with great accuracy.
Here, too, the auxiliary control can in turn be controlled by an even smaller auxiliary control that can be actuated away via the axis of the main control, via this itself and via the axis of the first auxiliary control, as shown in FIG. 2 in dotted lines . The second auxiliary control 20 is controlled alone, the first auxiliary control 17 is now just as free to move as the main control 12, and the crank disk 16 sits loosely on its axis and transmits its movement by a cable 21 to the axis of the second auxiliary control 20. This will placed upwards, it pushes the first auxiliary control 17 down and this in turn pushes the main control 12 with the rear edge upwards.
If several auxiliary rudders are arranged, the first, third, etc., are opposite to the main rudder, the second, fourth, etc., are the same as the main rudder.
Instead of the tooth segments, gear wheel couplings, lever joints, cable or chain hoists and the like can also be used.
Such a cable transmission is shown, for example, in FIG. 3. A cable pulley 23 sits on the axis 21 of the main control 22, and the pulley 25 on the axis of the auxiliary control 24. A crossed cable 26 is placed on the pulleys 23 and 25. Fig. 4 shows the cable guide with Anord voltage of two auxiliary controls connected in series.
Another embodiment in application to the rudder control is shown in FIG. 5. Here the cable 27 is returned through the axis 28 of the main control 29 and by means of a guide pulley 30 to the fixed axis 32 of the auxiliary rudder 33 and via the guide pulley 34.
FIG. 6 differs from FIG. 5 only in that it is not the control cable but a disk shaft 35 that is passed through the hollow axis of the main control.
The auxiliary steering can be operated using mechanical means directly from the driver's seat. But you can also turn on drives of any other type, such as liquid drives, electrical drive devices or others.
If you want to be able to directly influence the free moving main steer, you can limit the deflection of the main control axis coaxial transmission organs in a suitable manner with respect to the main control, as for example in Fig. 7 by the mounted on the disc 36 Nose 37 and the stops 38 provided on the main rudder are indicated.
8 shows an arrangement in which the main control is divided into several parts 40, each of which is operated by one or more auxiliary controls 41.
9 shows a device in which protective surfaces 43, 44 are arranged, which serve to reduce the edge vortices and thus to generate the highest possible pressure differences. Such protective surfaces can also be arranged elsewhere in the vicinity of the control, for example by being attached to the aircraft body.
10 shows an arrangement in which the leading edge of a balanced auxiliary rudder cannot emerge from the profile of the main rudder when it is pivoted.
The auxiliary tax can also be withdrawn from the direct influence of the taxpayer and its movements can be made dependent on those of the main tax, the pivoting of which has now been made easier by the auxiliary tax.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 11, the auxiliary control is coupled to the aircraft body by means of the cable 58 and, when the main control 57 is turned over, is pivoted by means of the cable 56 so that the auxiliary control 55 supports the movement of the main control.
It is not absolutely necessary to couple the auxiliary control with the aircraft body by means of a cable. A handlebar can also be used which, on the one hand, can be hinged to a fixed point of the aircraft body and, on the other hand, to a lever that is stuck on the auxiliary surface.
In order to increase the sensitivity of the auxiliary control, it can be given a shape as illustrated, for example, in FIGS. Here the control surface is divided into two parts 115 and 116 which form an angle with one another. In Fig. 12, a transverse surface 117 is switched on to avoid vortex formation between these parts. In the normal position, for example, the two surface parts have the same, albeit opposite, setting angle of 3 to the flow. If the auxiliary rudder is now swiveled by 3 to port, for example, then these 3 are added to the port position of part 116, while the starboard position of 115 is reduced by 3.
The part 116 is therefore <B> 60 </B> the part 115 0 to the normal position. If the pressure on part 116 was x first, it is now more than 2x, since the pressure curve rises sharply with the size of the angular position, while the pressure on a non-restricted (flat) control can never be more than 2x.
