Dispositif d'embrayage hydraulique.
L'organe comportant les quatre cylindres <I>a',</I> a2. <I>a3,</I> a4 est relié à l'organe moteur<I>k</I> qui l'entraîne dans soir mouvement.
Hydraulic clutch device. The object of the invention is a hydraulic clutch device.
This .dispositif comprises a driving member and titi driven member on one of which are rigidly mounted at least two cylinders disposed radially with respect to the axis of rotation of these members, these cylinders containing pistons simultaneously receiving engine organ , as soon as it is in motion, a relative back and forth movement, in each pair of diametrically opposed cylinders and in the opposite direction with respect to the axis of rotation of the device, as long as the coupling is not not fully engaged, the member not carrying the cylinders having at least one part intended to rub against at least one member to which the pistons of at least one pair of cylinders are connected, these cylinders being connected together, in pairs,
by means of channels which are controlled by at least one shutter member, these channels and these cylinders being filled with liquid which can circulate freely in each pair of cylinders, from one cylinder to another according to the movement of the pistons, this movement slowing down more and more as the free circulation of the liquid is more and more hampered in the channels by the obturators which control it and being stopped as soon as the communication channel between two cylinders is closed, so that the friction produced between the parts in contact of the driving member and those of the driven member, provoked the driving of the latter.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, two embodiments of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section of a first embodiment; Fig: 2 is a cross section thereof; Fig. 3 is a detail view; Fig. 4 is a longitudinal section of a second embodiment; Figs. b to 8 sent, detailed views.
In the clutch device shown in fig. 1 to 3, the cylinders <I> a ', </I> a2, <I> as, </I> a4 are formed in a member connected, so as to be able to rotate with it, to a driving member k which can be, for example, the clutch flywheel of the engine crin or other motive power generator.
The ends of these cylinders are closed by plugs d ', d2, d', d4. The pistons b ', b2, b3, b4 are fitted with watertight washers or stamped leathers or fixed by means of bolts ml. The opposed pistons are connected together to the trojan of a hub f whose lateral outer faces slide on guides g 'fixed to a body q. The movement of this hub f is transmitted to elbows or eccentrics c 'or c =
by means of bearings hl and h. =, curved on their inner face to match the shape of these eccentrics and which communicate the movement of the latter to the hub f through the intermediary of its corresponding inner faces <I> f ', f </I> ¯. A closed passage W interconnects channels n 'which lead to openings of cylinders a' and a2 (fig. 3), a similar passage and rat channels being arranged between openings of cylinders a3 and <I> a4. < / I>
These rai passages are controlled respectively by hydrarially balanced valves j 'and j 2 provided with rods j 3 extending through a gland g- fluid-tight up to titi jumper j4 connected to titi hub I mounted so that I could smooth my neck on titi shaft c,
sort displacement on this shaft being produced for example by means of a hand mechanism connected to non-rotating members j l. The shaft c rests on bottom bushings cs and 04 which constitute bearings.
The cylinders <I> a ', </I> a2, a3, a4 are fitted with safety valves el and check valves e2 arranged in the plugs d (fi g. 2).
To neutralize the action of the central trifugal force on these valves, each of them is connected to one end of a bottom lever r, provided at its end with a counterweight r ', on which the centrifugal force has an equal action, but acting in the opposite direction on the lever r.
The cylinders and the channels which connect them to each other are filled with fluid by the valves e2, for example by connecting them to a pressurized fluid line by means of a rotary joint.
This device works as follows: The four cylinders a ', a2, a .3, a4 and the channels which connect them n', 7a2, rai are filled with fluid, for example with oil. This filling is done by one of the valves e2 arranged in the plugs d ', d2, d3, d4 <I> of the </I> cylinders.
The component comprising the four cylinders <I> a ', </I> a2. <I> a3, </I> a4 is connected to the motor organ <I> k </I> which drives it in its own motion. When the valves j 1 and j z are in the position shown in fig. 3, that is, when the oil can flow from one cylinder to the other cry passing through the passages n3 which are open, the pistons b1, b2, b3, b4 of the cylinders can move freely- in these and no movement is communicated to the shaft c.
When moving the members j 'and j4 which are connected to the rods <I> j3 </I> which control the valves <I> j' </I> and <I> j 2 of </I> so as to bring the <B> j </B> part of these in passages n3, the oil can no longer pass from one cylinder to the other and the pistons can no longer move in these cylinders.
As each pair of cylinders opposed to each other is connected by a hub f which is itself connected to one of the elbows c 'or c2 of the shaft c by the bearings hl and h2, these elbows cl and c2 of this shaft are retained by these bearings and the shaft c is driven in the movement of the body comprising the cylinders.
This training takes place gradually as the part i1 of the valve throttles passage 7a3 and the oil passes more difficult from one cylinder to another, until the moment when this passage n3 is com fully closed and that the shaft c can no longer rotate relative to the body with the cylinders.
The fluid filling can be carried out automatically by using a fluid reservoir, not shown in the drawing, and communicating with each valve e, disposed in such a way in the casing that under the action of centrifugal force the fluid which it contains is continuously pushed through each check valve e 'during the clutch operation.
This filling of the closed circuit can also be carried out by means of an action valve created automatically by the rotational movement of the clutch shaft.
The clutch housing can be completely closed so as to be able to contain a lubricating fluid, a sealing washer being provided at the entry of the driven shaft into the housing.
The cylinders as well as the channels which connect them can be emptied by the valves el, for example by a mechanical action on each of them. to lift it from its seat, and then slowly rotating either the motor member or the driven member.
In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 4 and 5 are shown two groups of four radial cylinders arranged in a cross <B> 900 </B> from each other. The axes of the cylinders of each of these groups are arranged in a plane normal to the clutch axis, the diametrically opposed pistons being connected by hubs or jumpers <I> f 1, </I> f 2 and <I > f 3 </I> in the same way as in the previous form.
In order to allow free movement of the pistons b5 and bl facing the casing f 3 of the other pair of pistons b3, bh arranged at right angles, the pistons b ', b6 are mortised as shown in f 4 and f 5 between the parts fixed to the jumpers f 1 and f 2. To allow the corresponding movement of the other pair of pistons arranged at right angles to these pistons b @, b6, the pistons b3, b4 are also mortised opposite the jumpers <B > fi </B> etf'en flet <B> f7. </B>
In this embodiment your cylinders are interconnected in the same way as in the first embodiment, either al and cal together and a3 <I> and </I> a4 together; the other two pairs not shown in the drawing being connected in the same way.
In this embodiment (fig. 6) the control valves are actuated hydraulically by means of a fluid coming from a source of pressurized fluid and a valve actuated, for example by hand. This pressurized fluid is admitted into the clutch through the opening p formed in the sealed bearing p1 which communicates by means of a porous seal with the passage of the fluid p3 leading to the end of the control valves j. of the cylinder.
These valves are returned to their normal position by means of return springs j 'when the supply of pressurized fluid is cut off. Said porous seal is also used to pass the fluid arriving from the passages p4 (fig.4) into the closed fluid passages n3 and -n4 of the radial cylinders. The passages p4 are fitted with spring-loaded check valves e3. These valves may be provided with means -de neutralization of the action of centrifugal force, in a manner analogous to that described above with reference to the valves e1 and e2.
The shaft c is mounted in c5 bearings and is made up of a combination of bottom bushes and roller bearings.
This embodiment works in the same way as the first embodiment.
The control valves can be actuated mechanically or hydraulically. These two modes of actuation can also be combined for the same clutch device.
Instead of being arranged in a member connected to the motor member, the cylinders could also be arranged in a member mounted on the driven shaft:
