postion of valve 19, the deax shafts are not coupled. After a certain number of revolutions of the motor shaft,
the flywheel reaches a considerable live force. the soapape 19 is then moved, and by toarnant manages to close the openings 17,17 'by sectors 22,22' by closing the circulation of the hail.
This closing has the effect of engaging the shafts, and controlling the shaft 13 with a grazing equal to the sum of the ordinary grazing of the motor and the current inertia power of the flywheel The speed of rotation of the ar - controlled bre starts more or less quickly because of its resistance and this priming has the effect, in a differential movement of the two shafts and, consequently, an angular displacement of the valve 19 sufficient to open the passages 17 again. , 17 'and re-establish the tripping of the shafts. The motor shaft can then move freely, it resumes its speed accumulating energy again by the flywheel. To maintain the coupling, the sections must naturally remain at the position of ,.
closing of passages 17.17 '. For this purpose, the toothed wheel 20 dependent on the soapapap 19 is provided with an eccentric weight 27 at a position such that when the sectors 22, 22 'are in the closing position, the said weight is found. at its distance the greater of the axis of rotation of the flywheel. The weight will thus be maintained in this position by the centrifugal force.
.of the surplus, the pinion 21 is elastically coupled to the shaft 13 a by means of a spring 28, one end of which is fixed to the shaft 13 and the other a same pinion (fig.3). This elastic connection allows an small abnormal displacement of the wheel 21 which puts the pinion 20 in tension.
In order to avoid the lateral pressure by the soapape 19 occa- sioned by the oil acting on the s partsars 22,22 'through the passages 17,1?', Cc 'channels are provided crossing the parts 15,16 of the soapape and leading the oil to the wall of the box. In this way, braking is avoided.

of the valve and the weight gz and the spring 28 can act freely.
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 4, only one cylinder can be adopted. The flywheel mass comprises a chamber 19 filled with oil; 2 is the moving shaft fixed to the flywheel. The controlled shaft 13 is operated by the eccentric, connected to the connecting rod 11 of the piston 7.
The shaft 13 is mounted loose, with a special cam comprising a cylindrical surface 41 and a cylindrical surface 41 'of smaller diameter than the previous one, the two cylindrical surfaces being joined by an elliptical inclined sarfaee 42. A channel leads the hail of the orifice 43 of the cylinder 4 to the ball valve rotary valve to section
46.
The shaft 47 of said valve comprises at its end a lever 48, one of the arms of which is articulated to the rod 49 while the other arm is connected to the mass constituting Tolant, by the intermediary of a spring, The rod 49 is guided in a bagae 50 pivoting on the mass constituting the flywheel, and is operated at its free end by a roller 51 resting on the cam, under the spring tension m.
The cam is independent of the flywheel, being guided in the longitudinal direction in a fixed splay designated by in the drawing, s port which prevents it from turning. By means of tonnas (lever 52 and groove ring 53) the cam can be moved to right and left (with respect to the drawing) to bring the roller to a certain point of the surfaces 41 or 41 '.
The effects of these different positions are as follows: when the roller is pressed continuously to the sar- face 41, the soapape opens the communication by the chamber 19 'and the oil can circulate freely from cylinder 4 aa channel 44 and to the boot 18. and back, through orifice p to chamber 19, and by a return soapape (not shown in the drawing), to cylinder 4, In this rolling position, the shaft coupling is loose When the roll sits on the 41 'surface and knows the dotted line
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
g2 the soapape sector closes the opening p (fig. 6), the oil circulation is stopped and the shafts are engaged.
