Key ratchet. When turning nuts, the keys are alternately applied in places where a complete turn of the same is impossible, turned a little, removed and reassigned, etc. This measure. But it is very cumbersome and time-consuming. In some cases, the nuts cannot be tightened or loosened sufficiently, namely when the key cannot be misplaced or when there is not enough space to touch it properly.
The present invention is now a key ratchet through which the deficiencies described before are easily passed around. This is achieved in that in the head part of a key body a gearwheel versebenes with a square hole is rotatably stored, in which the latter a pawl engages, the whole thing in such a way that when the key body is rotated in one sense a coupling of the same with the gearwheel, when rotated in opposite direction because it causes it to run empty.
The subject of the invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment in the accompanying drawing, and it shows: FIG. 1 a longitudinal section along the line A-1 in FIG. 2, and FIG. 2 a view from above.
a denotes the key body. whose headboard is forked. In the space formed by the fork legs b, the gear c is provided. The toothed wheel c, which is provided with a Seelskant- hole d, has a cylindrical attachment e on both sides, which attachments are supported in bores in the fork legs b. The nose g of the standing pawl h, which is rotatably arranged on the bolt f, engages in the gear wheel c, the latter being under the action of the leaf spring i, so that the same or the nose g is always pressed against the gear wheel. The leaf spring i is attached to the key body a by screw h.
When the key body a according to Fig. 1 is rotated in the opposite direction of the clock pointer, a coupling is effected in that the nose y engages one of the teeth, whereby the gear c and with this the nut introduced in <las square hole d is rotated.
When turning back, the lase ry slides over the teeth of the gear wheel e, so that the key punch runs empty. On the other hand, when you turn it back again, a coupling is automatically re-established and the nut can be screwed on or off successively.
When turning a nut with a right-hand thread, the wrench body must be arranged in such a way that the edge x rests against it when it is screwed on. If, on the other hand, this is to be unscrewed, the key body a is simply reversed, with the edge y facing the nut.
Of course, both ends of a key body can be designed as ratchets. Depending on the size of the different nuts, several key ratchets with corresponding square holes in the gear wheels are to be used. When using square nuts, the square holes must also be designed.
