Description

Rotor winding for electrical machines. In the case of rotor windings for electrical machines, the rods of which carry currents with a higher number of periods, for example in direct current turbo generators, considerable additional losses occur in the slot copper, the removal of which can no longer easily be ensured by conventional winding arrangements. These additional losses are particularly large in the upper layer of these windings, which are usually designed in two layers.

The present invention is based on the fact that the winding heads of the upper layer are laid so ver that between the individual winding heads (or groups of such) channels remain through which one drives any coolant, which as a result of the large contact surfaces and the small heat gradient to be overcome can dissipate large amounts of energy from the winding heads.

In the drawing, such a winding arrangement is illustrated as an exemplary embodiment of the present invention in two views.

Between the winding heads a of the upper layer of the winding are cooling channels c (Fig. 2), which are closed inwards by the insulation layer d over the lower layer b of the winding and outwards by the insulation layer e and the bandage, on both axial sides However, ends are open. On the pressure plates g ribs f are designed as fan blades in order to achieve the necessary pressure, for example with air as a coolant, and to drive the required amount of air through the above-mentioned channels c in the arrow directions. It can, as indicated in Fig. 1, the side ventilation often used with advantage of the runner iron h keep and possibly also be specially formed from.
