Eine solche Ausführungsform it in Fig. 4 dargestellt.
Turbine blade and method and die for making them. The present invention relates to a turbine blade and a method and a die for their manufacture.
A method for the production of turbine blades is already known in which the blade root or a metal mass from which the blade root can subsequently be made by machine is formed in a recess of a die and the blade is formed through an opening by ejecting metal, of the die. becomes.
Difficulties have arisen in carrying out this process. because when processing small metal blocks there is a tendency that the shovel edges, especially the thinner cattle, are driven out in a jagged shape.
The inventor has. recognized that this difficulty can be lifted if the metal block introduced into the recess of the die does not completely fill the recess near the inner edge of the opening through which the airfoil is to be pushed out.
The present method for the production of turbine blades from an all-metal block in a die with a recess serving to hold the metal block in which the shell or a metal mass resulting from subsequent machining of such a block is formed is based on this knowledge and with a @usstoliüH'nung,
through which the airfoil is expelled. namely, according to the invention, it is ensured that during the work process an air space remains at least on one side of the part of the recess adjacent to the discharge opening near the inner edge of the discharge opening.
The die, which is part of the invention, has for this purpose an expansion in the recess receiving the metal block since Lich of the inner edge of the Arissus opening.
In the drawing, three exemplary embodiments of the die belonging to the invention are shown.
1 and 2 show (read the first example in two mutually perpendicular longitudinal sections: FIG. 3 shows the associated floor plan: FIGS. 4, 5 and 8 are the floor plans of three further exemplary embodiments, FIGS. 6 and 7 the longitudinal line belonging to FIGS. 5 and 8.
The matrices shown have, similar to the earlier ones mentioned above, a recess 1 into which the metal block to be processed \? Is laid, and which is provided at the bottom with an opening 3., Through which the airfoil is expelled.
Instead, however, that the opposite sides of this recess have the same distance from one another over the entire length and are directed parallel to one another, as before, or converge towards the discharge opening located at the bottom of the recess; In the matrices shown, individual or all of these boundary surfaces diverge towards the bottom of the recess, so that the cross section of the latter remains the same over part of its length, but increases at the lower end of the recess.
As a result of this training of the recess fills with. parallel side surfaces made of metal block 2 allowed the extended space part of the recess not completely, but leaves an air space therein. It has been shown that the blades ejected from such a die no longer have serrated, but smooth, continuously running edges: In the embodiment of the die illustrated by FIGS. 1-3, all side surfaces of the recess mentioned go against the ejection opening located at its bottom apart so that an extension 4 remains free around the metal block 2.
As already mentioned above, the greatest tendency for bumps to form is on the thinner edge of the blade. It is therefore also possible to enlarge the recess only on the side which is adjacent to that part of the discharge opening through which the thinner edge of the blade is driven out. Preferably, however, an extension is also created on the opposite side. Such an embodiment is shown in FIG.
The particular design of the extension in question can be determined in the individual cases by experiments. It may prove advisable, for example, to make the extension, as is taken in Fig. 7 and 8, so that its boundary surfaces converge away from the discharge opening and upwards and, unlike the embodiment according to Fig. 1- 3.
Gradually merge into the part of the recess bounded by parallel surfaces. But it may also be advantageous to run the walls of the extension parallel and between them and the one above. also parallel limited part of the recess into which the metal block fits more or less precisely before the stamp is used to form a shoulder.
Such an embodiment is shown in Fig. 5 and 6 Darge presents, in which the extension 4 has the same cross-section over its entire length and is not cut as deeply into the die as in the previous examples.
In a further embodiment, the side surfaces of the recess are guided parallel along their entire length and the air space at the bottom of the recess is created by removing material from the lower part of the metal block so that individual or all of the side surfaces of this block from a certain point against converge towards the ground, while above this point they run parallel to each other in pairs.
