Le tiroir comporte à chacune de ses extrémités, tu) crochet d3 dans lequel prend la tige wa' de basculeurs an pivotés en 7fa2 et pouvant osciller dans des plans per pendiculaires à celui dans lequel tourne le piston, sous l'action de causes aa fixées sur l'arbre de la machine et décalées l'une par rapport ;
Pressurized fluid rotary motor. The object of the present invention is a pressurized fluid engine of the geiur do those which comprise a piston integral with the shaft of the machine and moving in an annular chamber in which this piston and a movable closure device provide two compartments in one of which the fluid is admitted while the other empties. The motor object of this inveiitioii is.
characterized in that the abovementioned closure device comprises a drawer pierced for the admission of fluid into one of the compartments, notched to allow the piston to pass and actuated perpendicular to the plane in which the piston rotates, by at least a low culeur driven by a cam carried by the shaft of the machine.
There is shown, by way of example, in the attached drawings an embodiment of a pressurized fluid rotary motor having the more binding characteristics mentioned. Fig. 1 the watch from the side; a part of the housing being torn off to show the internal annular chamber of the engine. Fig. 2 is an axial section along the line t1 --- B of FIG. 1.
In the motor shown cc is (ni casing-envelope having bearings ,, ru 'for the shaft of the machine and supported by a foot b.
From cliaqre side of this casing-casing and in its upper part, two square bosses c emerge in its upper part, inside which slides a drawer d pierced at d 'for the passage of the steam which arrives at f and notched. in cd = for the passage of the piston g carried by a bare disc h keyed on the shaft j of the machine.
Cie disc and piston are. greasy fit inside the casing.
Between the periphery of this disc and the inner one of the casing is formed the annular chamber le which was discussed in the introduction. This chamber is divided into two compartments by the piston and by the drawer. In one of these compartments, the one on the right in fig. 1, est. admits steam while the one on the left is continuously connected with the outside through a drain hole 1.
The drawer has at each of its ends, tu) hook d3 in which takes the rod wa 'of rockers an pivoted in 7fa2 and being able to oscillate in planes perpendicular to that in which the piston rotates, under the action of causes aa fixed on the machine shaft and offset with respect to each other;
I lynch at an angle sufficient for them to act. one iniinc "diaternent before the arrival of the piston y to the drawer in order to let this piston pass and the other immediately after the passage of the latter to close the annular chamber k behind it. This movement, further cry for effect of intercepting the arrival of steam during the passage of the piston and allowing the arrival of the latter as soon as it has passed.
The steam arriving at f and the piston located at. right of the drawer in the fis. 1.the fluid passing through the casing of the casing and the spool, can arrive by a recess on the other side of this one behind the piston g which is pushed forward in the chamber k until the moment when, arrived near the spool d, one of the cams 7a pushes the latter to let it pass, g. The opposite cam admits the steam again by pushing the slide in the opposite direction, after the passage of the piston.
The whole part of the chamber which is in front of the latter is in communication with the outside through the drain opening 1 and the fluid which is in front of the piston can escape into the open air.
It would be possible to construct a rotary motor according to the same invention, providing for the operation of the spool not two cams, but, for example, only one, acting as a single rocker. The retro grade movement of the drawer would, in this case, be provided by a spring that the first movement would start.
The provision of a single cam for the movement of the drawer would make it possible to construct a front reversible machine; for the admission of inotenr air vapor, two nozzles svmétridnement arranged on each side of the ale 4 B and, cry more, a device allowing to act the top in both directions of rotation.
