Technical Field The invention relates to a storage box for medicines for use by patients. The invention further relates to a storage system for medicaments, which comprises several storage cans according to the invention and a suitable case. Finally, the invention relates to a method for opening multiple storage cans and to the use of the storage cans for the straightening of medicines and the distribution of medications.

PRIOR ART Storage doses for medicaments are known in various forms. One can roughly differentiate between cans and systems that are suitable for use by specialist staff and those that should be operated by the patients themselves. Operating patients primarily means that the patients themselves take the required medication in the intended order.

Cans and systems for the exclusive use of specialist personnel are optimized for the processes in clinics: the cans hold large volumes, are stackable and / or can be grouped together. They are less suitable for everyday life in a normal living room and for operation by laypersons: they take up a lot of space and are less stable. Operation requires attention and good light, because e.g. let the lids move as desired. In many cases, only day systems are required here, since medication is usually administered daily in institutions. As the patients change, the systems are designed for a high exchange of components. For example, cans and lids are often disposed of when the patient in question is released from the institution.

Cans and systems for use by the patient, however, are tailored to the supposed needs of the patient: in many cases, the different subjects can be opened separately. The opening mechanism is often sluggish and relatively small to allow the can or system to be carried. Most compartments also only have a small capacity so that the can or the system can be transported comfortably. The material is more stable, also to allow a longer lifespan. The cans are typically dishwasher-safe.

In the context of outpatient health care by outpatient care services, the situation arises that on the one hand many medications should be directed comfortably, safely and quickly by specialist personnel, on the other hand these directed medications are brought safely to the patient and finally by the patient himself from the doses and / or systems should be removed in the correct order.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The object of the invention is to provide a storage box belonging to the technical field mentioned at the outset and a system which allows the skilled personnel to comfortably, safely and quickly straighten, enable safe transport in larger units and last but not least the patient can be operated easily and safely.

The solution to the problem is defined by the features of claim 1. According to the invention, the storage box for medicines comprises an at least partially transparent sliding cover and a tub part with at least one compartment. The sliding lid is fastened to the tub part in such a way that it can be pushed open with a first, smaller force to such an extent that all compartments are essentially completely open, and with a second, larger force or by changing the direction of the second force the first force of the sliding cover can be completely but reversibly separated from the tub part. The first force is greater than the frictional force between the cover and the tub part, which has to be applied over a predetermined distance of being pushed open, so that the first force is a force for overcoming a latching mechanism.

Since no material is stretched and compressed, a sliding lid is more durable than a lid that can be attached using a bendable plastic connection, e.g. a film hinge.

The application of a first force when postponed prevents accidental opening. In this way, the can can also be opened in the dark or by a person with restricted vision, in such a way that it is clear from the movability of the lid whether the can is completely closed or slightly open.

The predetermined distance over which the frictional force acts with its reference value when pushed on is a distance on which the sliding cover is not deliberately hindered. Such deliberately designed obstacles can be installed, for example, at subject boundaries. Obstacles not deliberately constructed are e.g. Surface roughness occurring during production. The reference value «frictional force when sliding over a specified distance» should therefore be determined by moving the cover away from deliberately designed obstacles. The conditions should come close to those of a household in Central Europe and the pressure on the lid should correspond to the average user. The distances between the values of the individual forces or the way in which they are generated should be done and chosen in such a way that the natural fluctuations of these test conditions are irrelevant.

The engagement, which preferably requires the application of the first force, can be achieved as follows: The tub part can have an opening. This is not the area above the subject or subjects. The opening preferably extends over the entire height of the tub part. The opening is surrounded in particular in the upper part by an edge which is formed as part of the tub part. In the following, this margin is to be understood as part of the opening. The edge of this opening can be chamfered. The sliding lid can also have an opening which, when the can is closed, is in the same position and has a similar size. The edges of the sliding cover along this opening are designed in such a way that they just grip the slope of the edge of the opening of the trough part and thus partially surround it. In order to open the lid, the lid opening edges must therefore be moved over the edges of the opening of the tub part. This requires a certain amount of strength. The required first force can be selected through the choice and thickness of material and the extent of the interlocking.

Alternatively, the opening in the sliding cover and in the tub part can be dispensed with and instead an edge of the tub part and an edge of the sliding lid form a latching mechanism. It is also possible that the pan part has an opening as described above, but the sliding cover does not. In this case the underside of the sliding cover, e.g. by downwardly protruding edges, such that a latching mechanism is created between the opening of the tub part and the underside of the sliding cover.

As many compartments as possible should be able to be opened completely. Smaller tablets could otherwise remain on the sliding lid when the can is tilted as described above. In order to achieve adequate guidance of the sliding cover, it may be necessary that the cover also covers a small part of the compartment at the end stop.

With a second, greater force or by changing the direction of the second force compared to the first force, the sliding cover can be completely but reversibly separated from the tub part. The word «or» is to be understood here inclusive: The second force can therefore be greater than the first force, it can work in a different direction or can be both larger and work in another direction. This device has the advantage that, on the one hand, the cover can be separated from the tub part, for example for cleaning purposes or for replacement. On the other hand, this separation should not happen accidentally, e.g. by opening the sliding lid too lively.

Preferably, the sliding cover can be separated from the tub part by a second force applied as follows: the second force is applied perpendicular to the first force. As a result, the lid bulges slightly and can be separated from the tub part in this form with only a little more than the first force in the direction of the first force. The combination of forces in different directions makes it difficult to accidentally separate the sliding cover and the tub section. On the other hand, the cover can be separated and reassembled consciously and with the knowledge of the required sequence of force effects. In a preferred embodiment, the storage box has at least one of the following features:

a) The storage box has a length that is greater than a width and a height.

b) The tub part of the storage box has a projection on an upper edge of at least one broad side.

c) The tub part or a compartment border have an obstacle which can interact with the sliding lid, so that when the sliding lid is moved, the resistance of the sliding lid briefly increases at the beginning of each compartment.

As already described above, the division into compartments can be done either by partitions or by inserts such as bowls. The partitions can be fixed or slidable or slidable before use and fixed in use. Inserts can also simply lie in the tub part. They can be mutually braced with the tub part or fixed in the tub part, e.g. with an adhesive. Subject boundaries are e.g. formed by partitions or side walls of inserts.

The statistics are e.g. a sample or a time series of medication volumes from patients at doctors, nursing services and inpatient facilities. Statistical indicators such as arithmetic mean, median, quantile and maximum value could be determined from this raw data. The raw data also provide the statistical distribution. With the help of the distribution, one or more of the key figures can be sensibly selected and these or a value calculated with them then define the «statistical volume». The statistical volume for a standard version is preferably set to the upper quartile or the ninth decile. For a special version, for example, the statistical volume can be set to the maximum value multiplied by a factor greater than 1. If, on the other hand, the spread of the values is small, the distinction between standard and special versions can be unnecessary. Furthermore, it is possible, especially with time series of a large sample, to also start with predicted values.

Typically, outpatient patients in Switzerland take more medication in the morning and evening, but less at noon and at night. Therefore, the statistical volumes differ depending on the time of taking. Since each of these times of intake is usually represented by a subject, it is suggested that the target group “outpatient general nursing in Switzerland” should be designed with the morning and evening subjects larger than the lunch and night subjects. It is of course possible to choose the target groups more generally or to use data collected in one place for other target groups. For example, the above classification is generally used, i.e. worldwide and for any clinical picture. Finally, it is also possible to use four compartments of the same size. Likewise, only one, two or three subjects can be provided. Or a division of 5, 6, 7, 8 or more subjects. Less than 4 subjects can be used if the time of taking is less important or e.g. no medication at noon. More subjects could be used for reserve medication, i.e. medication that the patient only takes when needed.

Fixed compartments specified by the manufacturer also have the advantage that they are more stable and the edges can be rounded. This facilitates the cleaning and removal of the medication or prevents the medication from sticking to the walls of the tub part.

In many cases, a patient will have more than one storage box and will have it with them at the same time. For example, it typically has 7 or 8 pieces to bridge the period of a week. This has the advantage that the lock can only be actuated when the can has been lifted up, that is, probably should be transported. The button is a component that is movable relative to the tub part, but can not be solved by this without great effort or tools. Preferably, the system comprises a case and an even number of storage boxes, particularly preferably eight storage boxes.

With the case, the storage boxes can be combined into a system and transported and stored together. An even number of cans enables symmetrical distribution in the case. Eight doses make up a weekly ration of medication, whereby one can be used as a buffer and for the day of replenishment. Preferably, the size of the storage boxes and the case is chosen so that the case fits into the holder for a transport and storage system, which is part of a device to support manual straightening of medication. This device for supporting the manual straightening of medicaments is preferably a device as described in the patent specification WO 2010/135 846. Such a device comprises, in addition to the holder for a transport and storage system, an electronically controllable compartment display means for visual indication of the compartment of the storage box in the case to be filled, and a control module for controlling the compartment display means on the basis of predetermined prescription data.

The controllable specialist display means preferably consists of an arrangement of lamps, in particular LEDs, which are below the contact surface, that is to say are located in the holder. The suitcase shells can have openings or transparent sections at suitable locations in order to less obstruct the light from the lamps. However, it is also possible for there to be a contact point in the holder which makes contact with another contact point on the case when the case is in the holder. Via such a contact point, LEDs that are integrated in the case shells can be controlled and supplied with energy. Furthermore, it is also possible that there are contact points between the case and the storage boxes and the storage boxes are provided with LEDs. Integrated LEDs in the storage boxes can be controlled via the contact point between the case and the holder and the contact point between the case and the storage box.

It is also possible that the case is equipped with an energy source such as a battery or an accumulator and an electronic control. For example, LEDs in the case or in the storage boxes could light the respective storage box to be used or the respective compartment for the patient. The control could also be designed to be programmable. In addition to the light, an acoustic signal or vibration could also inform the patient of the time of taking. A sensor could register and save the opening and closing of the case or the storage boxes. Together with a programmable controller, the patient can be given the signal to take forgotten medication later or to omit it. Additional sensors can, for example, monitor the temperature of the suitcase to prove the correct storage of the medication or to warn of deviations. All signals and measured values can be stored locally, in the case or in the storage box and read in and out from there, or passed on to another location via a network, wirelessly or with cables. For example, a suitcase that has not been opened several times, although this was intended, should alert a caregiver.

Instead of LEDs being integrated directly into the case or the cans, a film or a jacket can also be provided, which is pulled around the case or the cans or glued to them and which contains at least parts of this electronic system. Temperature and opening sensors can also be attached locally at individual points.

The case comprises two half-shells. Each half-shell can hold at least one storage box so that the sliding lids are the parts of the storage boxes that are closest to the center plane of the case when the case is closed and the sliding lids of the storage boxes are horizontal when the case is fully open on a horizontal surface ,

The two half-shells of the case are preferably movably connected to one another on one side by at least one hinge. The inside of the half-shells can be designed so that the cans slide into suitable recesses. The width of the inside of the half-shells is preferably chosen so that the length of the cans fits straight into it. This means that the cans slightly stretch the side walls of the half-shells and therefore cannot be taken up completely freely from the half-shells.

With such a clip system, cans can be held in the half-shell and also prevented from slipping within the half-shell if the case is not completely filled with storage cans.

In a preferred embodiment, there are recesses in the half-shells on at least one narrow side of the case, that is on one side of both half-shells. These are dimensioned so that the protrusion of the at least one storage box placed in the case can protrude.

These recesses have several advantages. On the one hand, they make it possible to pack cans with such protrusions in a compact case. In addition, the cans can be gripped individually and easily removed from the case, even if a clip system holds the cans in the half-shell. Furthermore, it can be determined easily and without opening the case whether all the cans are in it. Finally, it is possible to operate the sliding lid of the cans without having to remove them from the case. This is an immense relief, especially when straightening the medication. But even a patient who is unsure about handling a single can can easily remove his medication.

In a preferred embodiment, the storage cans are fixed to one another in the case such that the respective direction of the first force for all the cans in the case is essentially parallel to one another and the case prevents the storage cans from mutually opposing each other even when all the first forces are applied and move significantly compared to the suitcase.

This property makes it possible to open and close all cans that are in a suitcase at once and together. This simplifies and speeds up the process of medication reporting.

In a preferred embodiment, the case closes on one side by a clip mechanism, which consists in that at least one half shell has a first projection and at least the other half shell has a recess, which together act as a clip mechanism.

For the clip mechanism, the first projection is pushed into the first recess and there lies around an edge. Alternatively, part of the boundary of the recess can wrap around an edge in the projection. The edge should rather be rounded, as the clip connection should both go in and out. If the material is suitable, it can also be sharp.

In a preferred embodiment, the case has second projections on both half-shells, each of which has an opening and which are designed such that the openings are essentially flush when the case is closed.

A seal can be placed through these openings, a child lock or a marking that the medication has been directed and checked. This ensures that the medication was not accessed unnoticed. A child lock or lock can deny access to certain people.

In a preferred embodiment, the case can be labeled and preferably also the storage boxes can be labeled and this is made possible by the fact that preferably the case and preferably the storage boxes are flat on at least part of their surface and this surface is structured such that a label can be attached.

For this purpose, for example, the second projections in the case of the case and the underside or side wall in the case of the storage boxes are suitable. There the material can be prepared accordingly, i.e. roughened, smoothed or coated, or a coverable viewing window can be installed.

To open the lock, the button 5 is pressed down. For this purpose, pressure is exerted on the upper button surface 50a. This is transferred to the webs 56. As a result, the constriction 55 presses on the lower ramp of the ramp area 54. The shape of the ramp area 54 creates a force inwards on the webs 56.
