Description
Description: BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The invention relates to an insulation cutting apparatus according to the preamble of claim 1.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION [0002] Insulation cutting machines are nowadays used on construction sites in order to cut insulation boards to the desired dimension. Known insulating cutters have a cutting wire which is tensioned on an adjustable cutting bracket and is heated with current in order to cut plastic foam boards in the heated state. The cutting bracket is mounted on a generally rectangular plate, which serves as a support for the insulation panel to be cut. By means of guides the cutting bar resp. Cutting wire can be adjusted relative to the plate in order to sever the insulation plate at the desired location. Such hot wire cutters are known in various designs. There are also cutting devices for mineral insulation panels such as stone or glass wool, As well as cutting devices for PU plates which do not work with a hot wire, but with a blade, hand or mechanical saw, as well as other separating means. Since the cutting tools are exposed to harsh conditions at construction sites, these must be robust. Often, the plate is provided with imprints in the form of inscriptions or coated with slides which serve advertising. The imprints or foils may refer to the manufacturer, supplier or to the owner of the insulation material cutting device. However, because the surfaces of the pads are strongly stressed, the imprints are very often no longer legible. Films have the disadvantage that they can peel off. [0004] The carrier plate can be made of wood, sheet metal, aluminum, plastic. Depending on the quality of the inscription foil, it does not last longer or does not. Due to the abrasion which occurs on the carrier plate (by pushing the insulation plate), the writing can stand up at the corners and peel off.
[0005] Manufacturers of insulator cutting devices often supply very different customers, with each customer usually wanting their own inscription and, if necessary, the color of the device. For many different customers of these insulator cutters, there is a problem for the manufacturer of the devices, that short delivery times can only be met if devices are produced in stock. This not only increases storage costs, but there is also the danger that these devices can no longer be sold in the event of a failure or a change in customer requirements.
[0006] An inscription using screen printing generally offers a very good quality, but is relatively expensive. The number of devices to be produced and their color must be determined before assembly. This in turn increases the manufacturing times.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Accordingly, there is a need for an insulator cutting apparatus which can be temporarily and cost-effectively provided with the desired customer-specific inscription and color without the plates having to be pre-produced and kept in stock. Still another object is to provide an insulator cutting apparatus which can be provided with a durable advertising print.
Description: BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The invention relates to an insulation material cutting device with a carrier plate for an insulation panel and a cutting device which is arranged on the carrier plate and can be adjusted relative to the carrier plate by means of a guide device.
[0009] According to the invention, the insulator cutting apparatus is further characterized in that an exchange plate with an inscription (= inscription plate), in particular advertising inscription, is fixed interchangeably to the carrier plate. This has the advantage that the labeling can be created as a distinguishing feature not only for the reseller, but also for end-customer-specific purposes. A further great advantage is that the exchange plate can be exchanged easily and at a low cost. It is also conceivable to coat the interchangeable plate from time to time with a fresh inscription foil. As a result, the device can serve as an advertising medium for a very long time. This can have an emotional effect and have a positive effect on the device and the manufacturer.
[0010] According to one embodiment, the interchangeable plate can be designed as an extension of the carrier plate. This embodiment can be produced simply and inexpensively.
[0011] Alternatively, the interchangeable plate can also be an intermediate part of the carrier plate. The mechanical connection of the carrier plate and the exchange plate can be effected by means of any fastening means known to a person skilled in the art, such as rails, pins, etc.
A particularly advantageous embodiment provides that the carrier plate has a window-like cut-out in which the interchangeable plate is accommodated positively and interchangeably. The section can basically have any geometric shape. In this embodiment it is advantageous that the exchange plate can be exchanged particularly easily. For the attachment of the interchangeable plate, the cutout may have formed on the edge, at least in sections, a fold on which the interchangeable plate rests. The fixing can then be effected simply by means of screws.
Even if the surface of the interchangeable plate can basically be flush with the surface of the carrier plate, it is preferred that the surface of the interchangeable plate is displaced relative to the surface of the carrier plate by a certain amount. The latter solution has the great advantage that labeling remains beautiful for a long time, since there is no abrasion as on the board surface.
[0014] The cutting device is expediently arranged on the carrier plate so as to be pivotable and / or height-adjustable. Preferably, the cutting device has a cutting jig, which may be equipped with a bifurcation wire or with a manually operable knife.
[0015] The exchange plate on the front side is advantageously provided with an imprint, an inscription, an embossing or structure. The interchangeable plate can be coated with a film, but can also be punched, lasered, milled or exposed without the need for a film.
[0016] One embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the drawings. It shows:
1 shows an insulation cutting device according to the invention with a carrier plate arranged on a frame and a change-over plate arranged in a section of the carrier plate;
FIG. 2 is a rear view of the carrier plate of FIG. 1;
3 shows different embodiments of the carrier plate with interchangeable plate;
FIG. 4: the section of the carrier plate on an enlarged scale.
The insulation material cutting device 11 shown in FIGS. 1, 2 and 4 comprises a carrier plate 13, on which a cutting bracket 15 is arranged. The cutting yoke 15 has a cutting wire, which is not visible in FIG. 1, which can be heated by means of a current source 17 to such a temperature that foam boards can be cut with it. The cutting yoke 15 is arranged pivotably on the carrier plate 13 by means of hinges 19 and can be fixed by braces 21 in different pivoting positions. A profile 23 is provided at one end of the insulating cutting device 11, on which or on which an insulation panel arranged on the carrier plate can abut. The profile 23 is pivotable about an axis 25 and can be locked in different angular positions, So that the insulation panels can be cut at any angle between 0 and 90 degrees. An oval opening 27 serves as a handle for supporting the insulation material cutting device 11. The insulation material cutting device 11 can be arranged on a stand 28 in order to be able to operate it even in the upright position.
According to one embodiment of the invention, a cutout 29 is provided in the carrier plate, in which an exchange plate 31 is detachably fastened. A layer 33 in the form of a coating or a film is applied to the exchange plate 31. An advertising message, for example a trademark, is contained in the coating or film.
As can be seen from FIGS. 2 and 4, the cutout 29 can have a fold 35, on which the exchange plate 31 can rest. Preferably, the thickness of the interchangeable plate is smaller by a certain measure than the height of the fold 35 so that the surface of the interchangeable plate 31 is recessed inside the surface of the carrier plate 31. This has the advantage that abrasion of the coating or film can be avoided during processing of the insulation panels. Preferably, the surface of the exchange plate 31 is offset backwards by 0.1 mm to 15 mm, preferably 1 mm to 10 mm, and particularly preferably between 2 mm and 8 mm, against the surface of the carrier plate 31.
The exchange plate 31 does not necessarily have to be inserted into a cutout 29 of the carrier plate 13, but can also be attached to a narrow side 37, as shown in FIG. 3). For this purpose, bolts or other guide means can be provided in the edge of the narrow side, to which the interchangeable plate can be attached.
Another alternative embodiment provides that the change-over plate 31 is an intermediate section of the carrier plate 31, which occupies the entire width of the carrier plate (FIG. 3).
The geometrical shape of the cut-out portion 29 and that of the corresponding change-over plate 31 can basically be arbitrary (see FIGS. 1c) to 1f). Advantageously, the area of the interchangeable plate relative to the rest of the carrier plate is between 5 and 20% and preferably between 7 and 15%.
