Description
The invention relates to a machine tool with two vertical workpiece spindles according to the preamble of claim 1. From EP 1 711 309 B1 a lathe with two juxtaposed on a common carriage vertical spindles is known. For four-axis machining two tool turrets are provided. While a workpiece is being machined in one spindle, loading can take place in the other. Right and left next to the work space ever a charging station for automatic loading and unloading are provided. By this arrangement, the machine builds relatively wide.
It is the object of the present invention to reduce the structural complexity in a generic machine tool and to optimize the non-productive times in which no workpiece machining.
This object is achieved with a machine tool having the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are defined in the dependent claims. An advantageous aspect is according to claim 3 is to arrange the workpiece spindles on a common vertical axis. This results in shorter travel paths and a compact design.
Es zeigen: <tb>Fig. 1 und Fig. 2<SEP>eine vertikale Drehmaschine <tb>Fig. 3 und Fig. 4<SEP>eine vertikale SchleifmaschineIn the following the invention will be explained in more detail with reference to an embodiment. Show it: <Tb> FIG. 1 and Fig. 2 <SEP> a vertical lathe <Tb> FIG. 3 and Fig. 4 <SEP> a vertical grinding machine
Fig. 1 shows a vertical lathe in a schematic representation. On the machine frame 1, two workpiece spindles 2, 2 are arranged in a stationary manner along a common vertical spindle axis 8. On the underside of the spindles are the chucks 16, 16 for receiving and driving the workpieces 6. In addition to the workpiece spindles 2, 2 on guides 17 of the cross slide 5 on the machine frame 1 in the vertical direction (Z-axis) can be moved. The cross slide 5 in turn carries horizontal guides 18 on which the tool carrier 3 with the tools 7 in the direction of the X-axis is movable. By movements along the vertical and horizontal guides 17, 18, both the workpieces 6 held by the workpiece spindle 2 and by the workpiece spindle 2 can be machined with the tools 7. On the opposite side of the tool holder 3 vertical guides 17 are provided for the loading and unloading device 4 on the machine frame 1 in a drying room 12 next to the workpiece spindles 2, 2. A partition wall 9 prevents shavings and cooling liquid from entering the wet room 11 into the drying room 12. By closable openings 13, 13 passes through the gripper 14 in the workpiece spindles 2, 2 machined workpieces 6 against unprocessed. The workpieces 6 are fed via a transport chain 19 of the loading and unloading device 4. With this machine concept, one workpiece spindle can alternately be loaded and unloaded, while in the other spindle a workpiece is machined. Since both workpiece spindles 2, 2 are arranged stationary, the workpiece machining with only two NC axes is possible, and because the workpiece spindles 2, 2 are also arranged on a common vertical spindle axis 8, resulting for both the workpiece carrier 3 and for the Loading and unloading device 4 extremely short travels, which significantly reduces the machine times. FIG. 2 shows a variant of the lathe according to FIG. 1 with a stationary spindle 2. The partition wall 9 is movably arranged so that alternately the workpiece spindle 2 or 2 can be shielded against contamination. In this case, the partition wall 9 on the machine frame 1 slidably or pivotally about a pivot point can be arranged. For short processing times of e.g. Less than 5 seconds 2 loading and unloading devices 4, 4 are provided, which independently and partially overlapping in time, the workpiece spindles 2, 2 loaded and unloaded.
In Fig. 3, a vertical grinding machine during the machining of a workpiece 6 in the suspended workpiece spindle 2 is shown. In analogy to the lathe according to FIG. 1, here too the stationary workpiece spindles 2, 2 are arranged on a common vertical spindle axis 8. The workpiece spindle 2 is arranged standing here. The tool carrier 3 carries as tool 7 a double-grinding spindle. As a result, the travel between the workpiece spindles 2 and 2 is particularly short. To further shorten the non-productive times, in which no workpiece machining takes place, a second loading and unloading device 4 can be provided.
FIG. 4 shows the grinding machine according to FIG. 3 when machining a workpiece 6 in the stationary spindle 2. The partition wall 9 is movably arranged so that alternately the workpiece spindle 2 or 2 can be shielded against contamination.
