Abstract

The device has a pressure receiving device including a silicon tube, which is filled with vegetable oil. A head-collar includes a chuck for receiving a pressure sensor and a bag for receiving a data recorder for recording jaw movements. The pressure sensor measures and registers nose band movements with a recording frequency of 10 Hertz, where the nose band movements are produced by the jaw movements. The pressure sensor is connected with the data recorder via a cable. The chuck and the bag are fastened to a nose band of the head-collar.

  [0001]    Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Erfassen der Kauaktivität, insbesondere von Wiederkäuern.

  

[0002]    Bisherige Vorrichtungen zur Erfassung der Kauaktivität basieren auf dem Prinzip der Widerstandsveränderung in einem Zugsensor (IGER), der Schalterstellung je nach Kieferhaltung (JP2007 173 930(A)) oder der Erfassung von Geräuschen beim Kauen US 2003 205 208 (A1)).

  

[0003]    Die Aufgabe der Erfindung besteht darin, eine Vorrichtung zu schaffen die einfach am Kopf zu fixieren ist, den Träger oder die Trägerin in ihrer artgemässen Aktivität nicht behindert und mit einer hohen Zuverlässigkeit jede einzelne Kieferbewegung zu registrieren.

  

[0004]    Als Trägerelement dient bei Tieren eine handelsübliche Halfter. Auf dem Nasenband der Halfter sind ein Futter und eine Tasche zur Aufnahme der Messeinheit bestehend aus einem Druckaufnahmegerät mit Logger fest montiert.

  

[0005]    Das Druckaufnahmegerät besteht aus einem mit pflanzlichem Öl gefüllten Silikonschlauch mit eingebautem Drucksensor. Der Silikonschlauch ist fest mit dem Drucksensor verbunden und wird mit einem verschraubbaren Deckel verschlossen. Das Druckaufnahmegerät wird in das Futter auf dem Nasenband der Halfter eingeführt. Der Drucksensor ist mit einem Kabel am Messlogger angeschlossen. Der Logger wird in die Tasche auf der linken Seite des Nasenbandes der Halfter eingeführt. Der Logger misst den Druck im Druckaufnahmegerät mit einer Frequenz von mindestens 10 Hz.

  

[0006]    Die Daten werden im Messlogger über mindestens 24 h registriert und anschliessend über eine USB-Schnittstelle auf einen PC übertragen und ausgewertet.

The object of the invention is to provide a device which is easy to fix on the head, not hinder the wearer in their artgemässen activity and to register each jaw movement with a high reliability.

  

As a carrier element used in animals a commercial halter. On the noseband of the halters are a chuck and a pocket for holding the measuring unit consisting of a pressure recorder with logger mounted.

  

The pressure receiving device consists of a filled with vegetable oil silicone hose with built-in pressure sensor. The silicone hose is firmly connected to the pressure sensor and is closed with a screw-on lid. The pressure transducer is inserted into the lining on the noseband of the halter. The pressure sensor is connected to the logger with a cable. The logger is inserted into the pocket on the left side of the halter's noseband. The logger measures the pressure in the pressure recorder at a frequency of at least 10 Hz.

  

The data are registered in the logger for at least 24 h and then transferred via a USB interface to a PC and evaluated.

Vorrichtung zum Erfassen der Kauaktivität insbesondere von Wiederkäuern, gekennzeichnet durch ein Druckaufnahmegerät bestehend aus einem mit Flüssigkeit gefüllten Schlauch (Fig. 1, Punkt 1) und einem Drucksensor, der (Fig. 1, Punkt 2) die durch die Kieferbewegungen verursachten Bewegungen des Nasenbandes mit einer Aufzeichnungs-Frequenz von mindestens 10 Hz messen und registrieren kann. 1.
