The invention relates to a fastening device by means of which a device can be attached to the headrest rods of a vehicle seat.
Such a fastening device has been described by the applicant in WO 2008/131 944. The fastening device described comprises a receiving bushing in which a plug-in element arranged on the device to be fastened is received in a form-fitting manner. On the plug element, a locking cam is mounted which engages in a recess arranged on the receiving socket and locks the plug element in the receiving socket. The female connector is screwed to the headrest rods with a screwdriver.
In general, the devices (for example, a hanger or a table or monitor for the passengers in the rear seats) are mounted on the back of the vehicle seats and, accordingly, the fastening device is fastened to the vehicle seat so that the opening of the receiving socket against the rear the rear seats is directed and the plug element is inserted from behind against the back of the front seat in the receiving socket.
But there are also devices that can be mounted on the front of particular rear seats (eg. Devices for hanging bags or hangers, or garment bags). For this purpose, it is necessary to mount the fastening device with the opening of the receiving socket to the front of the seat.
If the fastener used to attach various devices, it must be removed depending on the device used and application from the seat and rotated 180 °. Retared to be fixed to the seat.
In order to achieve a high stability of the attachment, the receiving socket should have the longest possible insertion depth for the plug-in element. In many vehicles, however, the distances from the headrest bars to the rear and the front upper edge of the seat, or headrest lower edge are very different. While on the front of the seats, the fastening device may not protrude beyond the seat top or the head rest bottom edge in the neck area of the driver or passenger, a protrusion on the seat back is not critical. If the fastening device on both sides of the seat be mountable, this results in an essential Shortening of the insertion depth for the plug element in the receiving socket.
Although this disadvantage could be remedied by different fasteners for the attachment of devices on the front and the back of the seats. However, this would lead to a significant complication of logistics and warehousing at manufacturers and suppliers.
In addition, a once acquired fastening device by the user could be used only for the attachment of devices on a seat side. Accordingly, the object of the invention to provide a fastening device, with the, while maintaining an optimal length of the receiving socket, different devices both on the Fasten front and on the back of vehicle seats, without requiring the attachment device must be rebuilt on the seat. According to the invention, this object is achieved by a fastening device for connecting a device to a vehicle seat having the features of the independent claim 1. Advantageous developments of the invention are defined in the dependent claims.
An inventive fastening device for connecting a device to a vehicle seat with a backrest and a headrest with two spaced headrest rods with the backrest headrest comprises a receiving socket for receiving a device arranged on the plug-in element and a manually releasable locking device, the plug element in the Locked receiving socket, wherein the receiving socket between the top of the backrest and the underside of the headrest between the headrest rods is arranged and the insertion of the plug into the receiving socket approximately perpendicular to a connecting plane of the two headrest rods and wherein the receiving socket formed as a tube open on both sides with two openings is
through which the plug-in element can be inserted and locked from both sides.
The fastening device according to the invention thus allows the optional attachment of one or more different devices on the front or the back of a vehicle seat, without the need for the attachment device must be newly mounted on the seat. It is also not necessary to produce and offer two different models and the guide length of the plug-in element in the receiving socket can be chosen so that a stable attachment of the devices is ensured on both sides of the vehicle seat.
In order to ensure accessibility to the receiving socket on both sides of the seat, the fastening means is arranged in the space between the top of the backrest and the underside of the headrest and between the headrest rods and secured thereto. It would also be possible to attach it to the top of the backrest or the underside of the headrest.
In addition to a stable attachment, the devices can be quickly and easily installed by means of a quick coupling, dismantled and depending on the application also exchanged with each other, without having to adjust the headrest or even dismantled.
In order to cover the widest possible range of vehicles, the fastening device adapts to different diameters and distances of the headrest rods, without the user having to take special precautions during installation.
The fastening device preferably comprises a mounting plate, which comprises the receiving socket and laterally fixed or movably arranged on this mounting leg and a counter-plate with fixed side or movable arranged opposite legs. The mounting plate and the counter plate are preferably the same width and extend beyond the centrally located between them receiving socket on both sides so far that the headrest rods are covered. Mounting plate and counter plate are connected with screw, with which the mounting plate and the counter plate can be biased against the headrest rods.
The receiving socket is preferably fixedly connected to one of the two plates and movably supported in the other plate, so that the spacing of the plates can be adapted to different diameters of the headrest rods. In the counter-plate to a box-shaped pipe section is provided in which the receiving sleeve can move telescopically, so that their support is ensured regardless of the diameter of the headrest rods. In the counter-plate, a passage opening for insertion of the plug element is provided in the receiving socket.
At the plug-in element stops are attached to prevent the plug element can be plugged into the receiving socket so far that the free end of the opposite opening of the receiving socket looks out.
The counter-plate could also consist of two separate parts with which the mounting plate is attached to the headrest rods. For this purpose, the mounting plate could for example be formed as a T-shaped block in which the receiving socket is housed and which projects between the headrest rods. The attachment of the mounting plate on the headrest rods could for example be done by means of two laterally of the receiving socket on the mounting plate movably arranged opposite legs.
However, as mentioned, a continuous counterplate has the advantage that the plug-in element or the receiving socket can be better supported against bending moments. In addition, the receiving socket can be covered clean, which is advantageous in terms of a possible risk of injury and aesthetics. Therefore, the opening in the counter-plate for insertion of the plug-in element in the receiving socket should be aligned with the outer contour of the counter-plate.
To minimize the risk of injury and for aesthetic reasons, the mutually continuing outer walls of the mounting plate and counter-plate should have a convex curvature whose highest point lies in the middle of the receiving socket and whose end points are as close as possible to the respective inner wall of mounting plate or counter-plate. This allows the accommodation of the longest possible receiving socket, which is advantageous for the stability of the attachment, without thereby the volume of the mounting plate or counter-plate is substantially increased.
The receiving socket and the plug-in element are preferably plate-shaped. The inner guides of the receiving socket and the outer guides of the plug element are parallel, so that regardless of the insertion direction and insertion depth a positive reception of the plug element is ensured in the receiving socket.
The fastening device is preferably equipped with a locking device, with which the plug element can be locked independently of the insertion in the receiving socket. The actuator is preferably arranged on an outer side of mounting or counter-plate so that it can be operated from both sides of the backrest from comfortable. It would also be possible to provide separate locking devices with separate actuators on both sides, but this increases the cost of the fastener without significant additional benefit. Also, the locking device could be arranged on the plug-in element, but this also leads to an increase in price as soon as several devices are used with a common fastening device.
The plug element can be connected to the device fixed or via a hinge. The hinge axis preferably runs parallel to a connecting plane of the two headrest rods.
Recording socket and plug-in element could be designed instead of box-shaped or plate-shaped in any other form, even with multiple pins and / or webs and corresponding receiving openings. Instead of a closed tube, other forms of connections such as tongue and groove guides, dovetail guides or T-guides could be used. Also, connections on the principle of a bayonet lock are conceivable in which the plug-in element is inserted laterally into the receiving socket and then displaced.
Further advantages and embodiments of the invention will become apparent from the description and the accompanying drawings.
It is understood that the features mentioned above and those yet to be explained not only in the combination specified, but also in other combinations or alone, without departing from the scope of the present invention.
The invention will be described in more detail below with reference to preferred embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings.

<Tb> FIG. 11 shows a longitudinal section of a second variant of the fastening device according to the invention mounted on the headrest rods with plug-in element inserted from the rear.
Fig. 1 to 10 show a first variant of the inventive fastening device. The receiving socket 4 is designed as a tube with a rectangular cross section, whose longitudinal axis is perpendicular to a connecting plane of the two headrest rods 3a, 3b.
At both ends of the tube with openings 4a, 4b is provided, through which the plug-in element 5, which also has a rectangular cross-section, is inserted.
On both sides of the receiving socket 4 is a respective mounting leg 8a, 8b arranged, directed against the headrest rods 3a, 3b support surface 8d perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the receiving socket 4. The receiving socket 4 and the two mounting legs 8a, 8b together form a T-shaped mounting plate 8 whose outer contour 8c has a convex curvature, with which the opening 4a of the receiving socket 4 is aligned.
On the fastening legs 8a, 8b opposite side of the headrest rods 3a, 3b, a counter-plate 9 is arranged, which comprises two counter-legs 9a, 9b, which are supported with their mating surfaces 9f on the headrest rods 3a, 3b and an intermediate piece 9g together are connected. The outer contour 9c of the counter-plate 9 also has a convex curvature. In the intermediate piece 9 g, a passage opening 9 d is arranged, through which the plug-in element 5 can be inserted into the receiving socket 4. The passage opening 9d forms a box-shaped tube section 9h, in which the receiving bushing 4 is supported and slidably mounted parallel to its longitudinal axis, so that the attachment plate 8 and the counter-plate 9 can be displaced relative to one another.
Depending on the diameter of the headrest rods 3a, 3b, this results in a larger or smaller distance between the mounting plate 8 and the counter-plate 9. The length of the receiving socket 4 and the tube section 9h are coordinated so that the receiving socket 4 even at the largest diameter The head restraint rods 3a, 3b (FIG. 2) are still guided in the tube section 9h, while at the smallest diameter of the head restraint rods 3a, 3b (FIG. 3) the receiving socket 4 does not protrude beyond the outer contour 9c of the counter plate 9.
For attachment to the headrest rods 3a, 3b, the mounting legs 8a, 8b and the opposite legs 9a, 9b by means of screw 10a, 10b against each other, or biased against the headrest rods 3a, 3b.
In the mounting plate 8, a locking device 6 is arranged with which the plug element is locked in the receiving socket 4. The case 6a moves under spring action transversely to the insertion direction of the plug element 5. On the two opposite side walls 5b, 5c of the plug element 5 a plurality of recesses 5d are arranged one behind the other, in which the latch 6a depending on the desired insertion depth of the plug element 5 engages. Depending on which side of the plug-in element 5 is inserted into the receiving socket 4, the locking takes place in the recesses 5d one or the other side wall 5b, 5c of the plug element 5. The release of the lock 6 via the trained as a slide switch actuator 6b, the in the outer contour 8c of the mounting plate 8 is inserted.
With stops 7a, and counter stops 7b, the maximum insertion depth of the plug element 5 is limited so that the free end 5a of the plug element 5 does not protrude from the opposite opening 4a, 4b. At the passage opening 9d and the pipe section 9h corresponding recesses 7a are provided for stops, so that the plug element 5 can be completely inserted into the receiving socket 4, at the opening 4b, the counterstops 7b are arranged.
The distance from the headrest rods 3a, 3b to the outer contour 8c of the mounting plate 8 is greater than the distance to the outer contour 9c of the backing plate 9, since the distance of the headrest rod 3a, 3b to the front 1a, 2a of the backrest 1 and headrest 2 is smaller as the back 1b, 2b. As already mentioned, the locking of the plug-in element 5 in different insertion depths in the receiving bushing 4 makes it possible to adapt the position of the plug-in element 5 or the device 11 connected thereto to different widths of the backrests 1 in different vehicle models.
Fig. 9 shows a device 11 which is connected via a hinge 5e with the plug-in element 5. The axis of rotation 5f of the joint 5e extends horizontally and parallel to a connecting plane of the two headrest rods 3a, 3b.
Fig. 10 shows two applications of the fastening device for devices 11, which can be used on the front side la of backrests 1. In the plug-in element 5, a device 11 in the form of an extendable holder for hanging bags or hangers, or garment bags is shown.
Fig. 11 shows a second variant of the fastening device. The mounting plate 8 forms a T-shaped block, in which the receiving socket 4 is housed and which projects between the headrest rods 3a, 3b passes. Attaching the mounting plate 8 to the headrest rods 3a, 3b by means of the two side of the receiving socket 4 arranged on the mounting plate 8, pivotable about bearings 9e opposite legs 9a, 9b, which rest with their mating surfaces 9f on the headrest rods 3a, 3b and by means of screw 10a , 10b can be clamped to the attachment legs 8a, 8b against the head restraint rods 3a, 3b.
For easy mounting of the fastening device, the counter-legs 9a, 9b can be pivoted so far forward that the mounting plate 8 between the headrest rods 3a, 3b can be pushed through until the support surfaces 8d abut the headrest rods 3a, 3b. Subsequently, the counter-legs 9a, 9b are applied to the headrest rods 3a, 3b and screwed to the mounting legs 8a, 8b.
