Description
The invention is directed to a provided with a label and / or ornaments glass ceramic disc.
Glass ceramic panes are used for example as a protective and supervisory surface in fireplaces for private homes, i. E. Especially where there are very high thermal loads, at the same time a good transparency of the disc is desired, i. a supervision of the fireplace should be possible at any time.
There are applications of such discs in which it is desirable to use these e.g. with a company logo and / or ornaments, on the one hand for purposes of indication, on the other for decoration purposes to provide, where it is known to lay stencils on the disk surface and then sandblast this, which leads but in part to the desired results, for Others, these discs are not suitable for some conventional types of treatment, as it can lead to destruction. This is particularly true since glass-ceramics are to be classified as brittle materials in the technical sense, in which no flow processes take place, so that surface contact in the form of small notches and cracks may occur on contact with hard work surfaces, for example with the particles from sandblasting processes.
Another type of labeling or decoration of the surfaces of such discs is unsatisfactory, such as the application of imprints by means of paint od. Like.
This is where the invention, whose goal is to provide non-destructive glass ceramic windows with permanent labels.
This object is achieved with a glass ceramic pane of the type described above in that the characters and / or the ornamentation of the disc inside caused by means of a laser beam structural changes of the disc material is formed.
It has been found that the treatment of the disc with a targeted laser treatment to change e.g. leads in the center of the disk, wherein the structural changes of the disc occurring there do not destroy the surface, so that dirt particles usually can not penetrate, so it can not come to the mechanical properties of such discs disturbing cracks and cracks.
Embodiments of the invention will become apparent from the dependent claims. In this case, it may be expedient if the structural changes caused by the laser beams have reflection surfaces for incident light in the interior of the otherwise transparent glass ceramic pane, as the invention likewise provides.
It can also be particularly advantageous in a further embodiment, when the visual appearance of a font or an ornament inducing internal structures of a red laser (wave range 1064 nm) or a green laser (wave range 532 nm) are caused.
Another advantage of the invention is that it does not matter which form the provided with script or ornaments areas of the glass ceramic, for example, as flat surfaces or as curved surfaces are formed.
Further features, details and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description and from the drawing. This shows in a highly simplified representation only as a schematic diagram of an eruption of a glass ceramic disc with a laser beam introduced ornament.
A generally designated 1, only in the form of a tear glass ceramic disk is in the example shown, again shown only symbolically, acted upon by means of a laser beam source 2 of pulsed laser 3.
The laser is adjusted so that it approximately in the designated center plane 4 of the glass ceramic disc 1 structural changes in the form of the desired label or the desired ornament, generally designated 5, triggers, such that incident light is reflected there accordingly and so the ornaments or the label for the human visible generated.
