Abstract

The humidor consists of a water container (a) a filter unit (b) to hold the tobacco or cigars and having holes (c) in its side wall for water vapor to pass through, and a lid (f), e.g. of wood, glass or a synthetic material. The container and filter unit can be made from blown glass or a synthetic material, and the filter unit is held inside the top of the container by a rubber or plastic ring (d) round its rim. The underside of the lid has a hygrometer (g) and a groove (h) to receive the upper edge of the container.

   La présente invention concerne un humidificateur à tabac et à cigares.                                                         



   Une forme d'exécution d'un humidificateur selon l'invention est décrite  ci-après, en relation avec les figures annexées, où la fig. 1 est  un dessin entier de l'humidificateur à tabac et à cigares. 



   La fig. 2 est un dessin du détail de toutes les pièces séparées de  l'humidificateur à tabac et à cigares. 



   L'humidificateur comporte un récipient (a) à l'intérieur duquel se  trouve un filtre (b), les deux pouvant être en verre soufflé à la  bouche. La paroi du filtre est munie d'ouvertures (c) servant à laisser  passer l'humidité produite par l'évaporation de l'eau se trouvant  dans le récipient, permettant ainsi d'humidifier le tabac ou le(s)  cigare(s) placé(s) dans le filtre. 



   Les ouvertures faites sur la paroi du filtre se font avec la technique  suivante: 



   Elles sont ouvertes avec une fraiseuse puis chauffées à haute température  afin d'éliminer toutes les aspérités et ainsi rendre les pourtours  lisses. 



   Sous le bord du bourrelet périphérique externe du filtre se trouve  une rondelle (d) en caoutchouc ou en téflon. 



   Le filtre muni de sa rondelle est placé sur le bord supérieur du  récipient (e) ce qui empêche, grâce à la rondelle, l'air de pénétrer  à l'intérieur et vice-versa. 



   Sur le récipient et le filtre muni de sa rondelle est posé un couvercle  par exemple en bois (f). 



   Au milieu de la face inférieure du couvercle se trouve un hygromètre  (g) qui mesure l'humidité du tabac ou des cigares placés à l'intérieur  du filtre. Une gorge (h) assure le positionnement correct du couvercle  sur le récipient muni du filtre. 



   Sur le dessus du couvercle est inscrit, gravé, imprimé le mot tabac  ou cigare(s) dans une ou plusieurs langues.

   The humidifier has a container (a) inside which is a filter (b), both of which may be mouth-blown glass. The wall of the filter is provided with openings (c) which allow the moisture produced by the evaporation of the water in the container to pass through, thus making it possible to humidify the tobacco or the cigar (s). placed in the filter.



   The openings made on the wall of the filter are made with the following technique:



   They are opened with a milling machine and then heated to high temperature to eliminate any roughness and thus make the edges smooth.



   Under the edge of the outer peripheral bead of the filter is a rubber or Teflon washer (d).



   The filter fitted with its washer is placed on the upper edge of the container (e) which, thanks to the washer, prevents air from entering the interior and vice versa.



   On the container and the filter fitted with its washer is placed a cover, for example made of wood (f).



   In the middle of the underside of the cover is a hygrometer (g) which measures the humidity of the tobacco or cigars placed inside the filter. A groove (h) ensures the correct positioning of the cover on the container fitted with the filter.



   On the top of the cover is inscribed, engraved, printed the word tobacco or cigar (s) in one or more languages.

Claims

1. Humidifier for tobacco and cigars, characterized in that it comprises a container which can contain water and a filter which can contain tobacco or cigars, the wall of which is provided with openings and has an external peripheral bead under which is a rubber or polytetra fluoroethylene washer which is placed on the upper edge of the container.

2. Humidifier according to claim 1, characterized in that the container and the filter are made of mouth-blown glass or of synthetic material.

3. Humidifier according to claim 2, characterized in that it comprises a cover provided on its underside with a hygrometer comprising a groove into which is introduced the upper edge of the container, the bead of the filter and the washer in order to close the humidifier tightly.

4. Humidifier according to claim 3, characterized in that the cover is made of wood, glass or synthetic material.

5. Method of manufacturing the humidifier according to one of claims 2 to 5, characterized in that the container and the filter are made of mouth-blown glass and in that the openings of the filter are opened with a milling machine and then heated at high temperature to eliminate any roughness around the orifices and thus make the edges smooth.
