The invention relates to an electric hot water tank according to the preamble of claim 1.
In such electrical hot water storage tanks, the cooling of the semiconductor is a considerable problem. The performance of such a storage tank is usually controlled by a triac. A triac, for example with a storage heater output of 2500 W, has a power loss of 20 W. Since the electronics and the triac in conventional electric hot water tanks are housed in a small, jet-proof housing, the dissipation of the power loss of 20 W is a very significant problem.
The aim of the invention is to avoid this disadvantage and to propose an electric hot water tank of the type mentioned at the outset, in which the power loss occurring on the semiconductor can be dissipated in a simple manner.
According to the invention, this is achieved in an electric hot water tank of the type mentioned at the outset by the characterizing features of the patent claim.
The proposed measures have the advantage that the heat of the semiconductor is dissipated into the memory. The fact that the heating element is held at a distance from the inside of the storage wall in the lowermost area of the storage ensures that a correspondingly lower temperature of the storage content prevails in the lowermost area. The protective tube protrudes into this area. This ensures appropriate cooling of the cooling rod and thus also of the semiconductor.
The size of the cooler area of the memory, which has an influence on the dissipation of the heat of the semiconductor, can be determined by appropriately dimensioning the distance between the memory wall and the radiator.
The invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to the drawing, which schematically shows an electric hot water tank according to the invention.
In an electric hot water tank 1, a heater 2 is arranged in the interior 8 of the tank, which is arranged on a support body 3.
This support body 3 passes through the storage wall 4 in the lowermost region 9 of the storage 1, the electrical connection lines (not shown) also being guided within the support body 3.
A protective tube 5 also penetrates the storage wall 4 in the lowermost region of the reservoir 1. A cooling rod 6 is inserted into this protective tube 5. At the protruding from the memory 1 area 10 of the cooling rod 6, a semiconductor 7 is attached, with a good heat-conducting connection at the contact point 11 between the cooling rod 6 and the semiconductor 7 is provided, which is connected to the circuit of the radiator 2.
The heat loss that occurs during operation on the semiconductor 7, for example a triac, is introduced into the protective tube 5 via the cooling rod 6 and is released by the latter to the memory content. The arrangement of the radiator 2 ensures that the storage content in the area of the sensor protection tube has a relatively low temperature and therefore the heat of the semiconductor 7 can be dissipated quickly, this heat being used to advantage and contributing to heating the storage content. The heating area of the radiator is higher than the cooling rod 6 in the interior 8 of the memory.
