State of the art
The invention relates to a device for filling a liquid, pasty or particle-containing product into packaging containers according to the preamble of claim 1, as has become known for example from DE 3 943 149 C1. The known device has a valve holding plate in which a plurality of metering valves are arranged side by side and / or one behind the other. The slide valves of the metering valves are opened and closed by means of a drive which acts on a spindle drive via a toothed belt, which in turn is connected to a plate which holds the upper sides of the metering pistons. The known device is adapted to the respective application due to the spindle drive and the plate for the metering pistons.
This requires specially adapted components for each application, retrofitting an existing device to different metering valve arrangements and / or different products and fill quantities being relatively complex.
Advantages of the invention
The device according to the invention for filling a liquid or pasty product into packaging containers with the characterizing features of claim 1 has the advantage that the device can be easily adapted to different arrangements of metering valves depending on the application. This results in a relatively flexible filling system that has a low variety of components. This is achieved according to the invention in that the valve slides are coupled to mutually displaceable pressure bars, which can thereby be adapted to different valve arrangements. Furthermore, due to two different drives coupled to the valve spools, simple adjustment to different products is possible.
Further advantages and advantageous developments of the device according to the invention for filling a liquid, pasty or particle-containing product into packaging containers result from the subclaims and the description. The multi-part, modular structure of the metering elements, which allows different designs and cost-effective production, is particularly advantageous.

An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing and is explained in more detail below. Show it:
1 is a side view of a device for filling a liquid or pasty product into packaging containers,
2 shows a section along the line II-II in FIG. 1,
3 shows part of a frame according to FIG. 1,
Fig. 4 is a spindle nut assembly in longitudinal section and
5 and 6 longitudinal sections through different metering valves in two end positions.
Description of the embodiment
The device 10 shown in FIG. 1 for filling liquid, pasty or particle-containing products, such as yoghurt, pudding or the like. in packaging container 1 is part of a production system, not shown. In this production system, the packaging containers 1 are molded into a thermoformable packaging web 2 in a first step, whereupon the packaging containers 1 arranged next to and behind one another in the packaging web 2 are conveyed in cycles into the area of the device 10. Within the device 10, the packaging web 2 is guided in its longitudinal conveying direction by means of guide strips 3. After the packaging container 1 has been filled in the device 10, a sealing film is sealed onto the top of the packaging web 2.
Finally, the packaging containers 1 are separated from the packaging web 2 by punching them out.
On one side of a frame 11 of the device 10, two cylindrical guide columns 12 are fastened, each of which is surrounded by a longitudinal beam 13 which can be displaced on the guide column 12. The longitudinal members 13 are part of a first frame 15, which further comprises two cross members 16 and two cross members 16, 18 connecting the cross members 16. The cross members 16 extending in the horizontal plane are fastened with their end faces to the longitudinal member 13. Two struts 19 extend from the side member 13 and are connected to the side members 13. In order to be able to move the first frame 15 vertically up and down, a first servo motor 20 is arranged on the frame 11. The output shaft of the first servo motor 20 is designed as a spindle 21, which is encompassed by a first spindle nut 22.
The spindle nut 22 is arranged in a first support 23 which connects the two longitudinal supports 13 to one another.
A valve holding plate 25 is fastened to the underside of the frame 15 and is sealed off from the frame 11 by means of a circumferential sealing element 26. Recesses 24 for filling valves 27 are provided in the valve holding plate 25. In order to adapt the device 10 or the filling valves 27 to the product to be filled or the number and arrangement of the packaging containers 1 in the packaging web 2 in a simple manner, the valve holding plate 25 can advantageously be easily assembled with the frame 15, for example by means of a not shown Quick fasteners or a screw connection, connectable. The arrangement of the filling valves 27 in the valve holding plate 25 is such that a filling valve 27 is located above and in register with each packaging container 1 of the packaging web section conveyed into the device 10 in cycles.
Thus, six rows each with seven filling valves 27 arranged next to one another are provided in the exemplary embodiment shown.
As can best be seen from FIGS. 5 and 6, each filling valve 27 has a three-part housing 28 which consists of a tubular intermediate piece 29 as well as a lower part 31 and an upper part 32 connected thereto by welding. While the intermediate piece 29 consists of a drawn and overturned pipe section or an easily manufactured rotating part for reasons of cost and simplification, the upper part 32 and the lower part 31 are produced by the investment casting process. A product feed 33 is formed on the side of the upper part 32 and is connected to a storage container for the product to be filled by means of a connecting line (not shown). The three-part design of the housing 28 described above enables the adaptation to the respective product in a simple manner.
While so-called flat slide or seat valves are advantageous for liquid products, a so-called slide valve must be provided when using a pasty product. In order to implement the respective valve type, a correspondingly adapted mouthpiece 34, 35 is provided on the filling valve 27, which cooperates with a slide 36, 37 which is guided in the filling valve 27 and can be moved up and down and also designed according to the respective valve type. The intermediate piece 29 and the upper part 32 are identical in both valve types. In order to easily connect the mouthpiece 34, 35 to the lower part 31 and, if necessary, to replace it, the mouthpiece 34, 35 has a first section 38 on the side facing the lower part 31, in the area of which the inside diameter is enlarged.
The inside diameter of the first section 38 is adapted to the outside diameter of a second section 39 on the lower part 31, which is reduced compared to the remaining outside diameter of the lower part 31. Furthermore, the lower part 31 has on the side facing the mouthpiece 34, 35 a third section 41, the outside diameter of which is further reduced in relation to the second section 39, so that this corresponds to the inside diameter of a fourth section 42 of the mouthpiece 34, 35, which is below of the first section 38. The outer surface of the third section 41 is surrounded by a sealing ring 43 which seals the mouthpiece 34, 35 against the lower part 31.
The sections 38, 39 and 42 of the filling valve 27 are arranged at the level of the valve holding plate 25, an additional sealing ring 44 for sealing against the valve holding plate 25 abutting on the outer circumference of the fourth section 42.
The slide 36, 37 is connected at its end facing away from the mouthpiece 34, 35 to a valve slide rod 45. The connection is made by means of a connection 46, which makes it possible to easily replace the slide 36, 37 after removing the mouthpiece 34, 35. The valve slide rod 45 protrudes from an end cover 48 arranged on the upper side of the upper part 32. This end cover 48, which serves to guide the valve slide rod 45, is connected to the upper part 32 by means of screw connections 49 (only one screw connection 49 of which is shown in the drawing). On the side of the end cover 48 facing the upper part 32, the valve slide rod 45 is surrounded by a bellows 50.
The bellows 50 has a bellows seal 51 which rests on a circumferential collar 52 formed on the upper part 32 and which is pressed in the direction of the collar 52 by the end cover 48. On the side facing the mouthpiece 34, 35, the end of the bellows 51 is surrounded by a steel clamping ring 54. So that the steel clamping ring 54 presses the end of the bellows 50 sealingly and immovably on the corresponding valve slide rod section, a plurality of radially encircling sealing collars 56 protruding from the valve slide rod 45 are provided in this area on the circumference of the valve slide rod 45, into which the steel clamping ring 54, by its pretensioning, the end of the bellows 50 and thus seals and holds it against the valve slide rod 45.
In order to enable a synchronous movement of all filling valves 27, the ends of each row of valve slide rods 45 facing away from the connections 46 are fastened to pressure bars 57. As can be seen from FIG. 3, the pressure strips 57 are in turn slidably fastened in two profile strips 58. The profile strips 58 which run in the conveying direction of the packaging web 2 and are arranged approximately in register with the longitudinal edge zones of the packaging web 2 are sufficiently known from assembly technology and the construction of apparatuses and apparatuses and are therefore not described in more detail. It is only essential that the profile strips 58 each have a continuous longitudinal groove 59 on the underside facing the pressure strips 57.
One end of a pressure bar 57 is pressed against this longitudinal groove 59 by means of a slot nut 61 and a screw 62 cooperating with the slot nut 61, so that after loosening the screw 62, the slot nut 61 and thus the pressure bar 57 can be displaced with respect to the profile bar 58.
The front and rear ends of the two profile strips 58, viewed in the conveying direction of the packaging web 2, are each connected to a pneumatic cylinder 63. For this purpose, the cylindrical valve rods of the pneumatic cylinders 63 which act in the longitudinal direction of the valve slide rods 45 are provided, for example, with an external thread which are screwed into slot nuts 64 which are arranged in longitudinal grooves 65 running on the upper side of the profile strips 58. The pneumatic cylinders 63 can be controlled by means of a common or a separate control block in such a way that the two profile strips 58 are moved up and down synchronously by the four pneumatic cylinders 63.
The upper sides of the pneumatic cylinders 63 facing away from the profile strips 58 are fastened to the underside of a second frame 66. The second frame 66 has two supports 67 arranged transversely to the profile strips 58 and parallel to the pressure strips 57, which protrude beyond the pressure strips 57 on both sides, and two connecting supports 68. The supports 67 and the connecting supports 68 together form the rectangular second frame 66. A spindle nut 69 is integrally arranged in each of the two end regions of the connection supports 68 facing the longitudinal supports 13. Another spindle nut 69 is mounted in an identical manner in the middle of the one connecting beam 68 opposite the longitudinal beams 13.
The bearing of the spindle nut 69 shown in FIG. 4 has a spherical base body 72 adapted to the outer contour of the spindle nut 69, on its outer surface in an upper region 70 and a lower region 71, in which the spindle nut 69 is pressed or glued. The areas 70 and 71 rest against spherically curved surfaces 73, 74 of two bearing shells 75, 76, which are located in a common spindle nut housing 77, which in turn is arranged in the carrier 68. In order to fix the base body 72 and thus the spindle nut 69 against the bearing shells 75, 76, a fixing pin 78 is provided for each spindle nut 69, which acts between the regions 70 and 71 on the outer surface of the base body 72.
In the spindle nuts 69, a spindle 79 to 81 is rotatably supported, which extend in the effective direction of the pneumatic cylinder 63, and are arranged in the cross member 17 or the cross members 16, so that the spindles 79 to 81 in plan view the corners of an imaginary triangle form (Fig. 2). The one spindle 79 arranged in the connection carrier 68 is coupled to a second servo motor 84 which is arranged in the middle of the crossmember 17 of the first frame 15. On the end of the spindle 79 facing the servomotor 84, a toothed belt wheel 85 is fastened in a rotationally fixed manner and drives a toothed belt 86. The toothed belt 86 is guided around an additional deflection wheel 87, which is fixed in a rotationally fixed manner on its respective spindle 80, 81 at the level of the toothed belt wheel 85.
In order to guide the toothed belt 86 and to tension it against the toothed belt wheel 85 and the deflection wheels 87, a plurality of rollers 88 are provided, which are arranged on the supports 67 and the connecting supports 68 between the toothed belt wheel 85 and the deflection wheels 87.
The device 10 described above operates as follows: To fill the packaging containers 1, the packaging web 2 is conveyed into the device 10 in cycles by a preferred length by means of a conveyor device, not shown. As soon as the packaging containers 1 have come to a standstill below the filling valves 27, the first servo motor 20 is driven in such a way that the first frame 15 is moved from its upper end position to its lower end position. As a result of the relative movement between the housings 28 and slides 36, 37, product located in the filling valves 27 emerges from the mouthpieces 34, 35 and is released into the packaging container 1.
Since the housings 28 of the filling valves 27 are arranged in the valve holding plate 25 connected to the first frame 15, the mouthpieces 34, 35 continue to dip into the packaging containers 1 to prevent foam or spray when the first frame 15 is lowered. At the latest when the filling valves 27 or the housings 28 have reached their lower end position, the second servomotor 84 is actuated, so that the second frame 66 is also moved from its upper end position in the direction of the packaging container 1. The valve slide rods 45 connected to the second frame 66 by means of the pressure bars 57 are moved in the direction of the packaging containers 1, the closing of the filling valves 27 being initiated.
The closing and sealing of the filling valves 27 per se, that is to say the closing of the mouthpieces 34, 35 by the slides 36, 37, is effected by the four pneumatic cylinders 63. These are activated as soon as the second servo motor 84 has moved the second frame 66 into its lower end position. This closing of the filling valves 27, which is caused by the pneumatic cylinders 63, has the effect that the relatively large valve closing force is generated exclusively by the pneumatic cylinders 63. Furthermore, an appropriate control enables a fine adjustment to the respective product.
While the product is being dispensed from the filling valves 27, it may be necessary to raise the filling valves 27 again slightly as the filling level in the packaging containers 1 increases, so that no product contaminates the mouthpieces 34, 35 externally. This upward movement of the first frame 15 is caused by the first servo motor 20.
After the filling valves 27 have moved out of the packaging containers 1 and the desired volume has been dispensed, the packaging web 2 is advanced by a feed length, whereupon the processes are repeated as described above.
In addition, it is mentioned that with a correspondingly protruding size of the device 10 for reducing vibrations when the first frame 15 is raised and lowered quickly, the masses, such as the servo motor 84, on the opposite side of the first frame 15, that is to say in the region of the Guide columns 13 to be arranged, whereby the arrangement of the spindles 80, 81 changes accordingly.
Furthermore, instead of the guide columns 13 described in the exemplary embodiment, the first frame 15 can also be moved by means of a plurality of spindles, each arranged, for example, in corner regions of the first frame 15. In this case, the first frame 15 is driven in accordance with the drive of the second frame 66 by means of a single drive motor which drives the spindles via a toothed belt.
