- nella fig. 1 la vista prospettica in esploso del citato preferito esempio realizzativo di un contenitore tridimensionale per imballaggio secondo l'invenzione;
- nella fig. 2 una sua vista prospettica;
- nella fig. 3 la vista schematica in pianta del solo involucro facente parte del contenitore delle figure precedenti nella condizione nella quale esso viene fissato nel contenitore stesso;
- nella fig. 4 la vista schematica in pianta dello stesso involucro della fig. 3 dopo che è stato parzialmente ripiegato in modo da ridurne l'ingombro;
- nelle fig.
The present invention relates to the field of three-dimensional containers for the packaging of goods and products of various types, such as for example household appliances, computers, refrigerators, musical instruments, etc.
Currently the aforementioned containers are obtained through numerous different types of systems, which use component parts in polystyrene, wood, cardboard, polyethylene or other materials, which are made in such a way that the unpacking operations of a product are destructive towards the container. for packaging, which is in fact considered in all cases as a non-reusable disposable element.
This entails two drawbacks, one of which is of an economic nature, as the cost of the container which cannot be recovered necessarily adds to the cost of the packed product, and the other, of an ecological-environmental nature, is due to the need to destroy all containers after use, burdening the centers for the destruction of municipal solid waste with a considerable additional load and inevitably increasing the quantity of toxic or in any case harmful gases that is released into the environment.
The inventor of the present invention thought that all the drawbacks described so far can be eliminated by creating a three-dimensional container for packaging by assembling parts constructed so as to allow their reuse, and also obtaining these parts with materials that can be recycled when a container has been worn away from use or can no longer be reused for any other reason.
The inventor himself therefore conceived a container for packaging based on the concepts set out above, taking care of the technical and functional characteristics of its different parts so that an empty container occupies the least possible space and can therefore be transported and handled easily and at very low costs. limited.
The object of the present invention is therefore constituted by a three-dimensional container for packaging as described in the preamble of the attached claim 1, characterized by the characterizing part of the same claim.
A more detailed description of a preferred embodiment of the container according to the invention will now be performed, an example which is not to be considered as limiting or binding towards different embodiments obtainable by one skilled in the art based on the teachings of claim 1 above.
In carrying out said description, reference will also be made to the attached drawings, which represent:
- in fig. 1 is an exploded perspective view of the aforementioned preferred embodiment of a three-dimensional container for packaging according to the invention;
- in fig. 2 a perspective view thereof;
- in fig. 3 is a schematic plan view of only the casing forming part of the container of the previous figures in the condition in which it is fixed in the container itself;
- in fig. 4 is a schematic plan view of the same casing of fig. 3 after it has been partially folded so as to reduce its size;
- in figs. 5, 6 the same view of figs. 3, 4, carried out in successive moments in which the folding operation continued until the final result of reducing the container to a set of its parallel overlapping faces.
- in fig. 7 shows the detail of the cross section of a groove formed on the bottom which has a trapezoidal section and is provided with holes for draining the condensate.
Considering first figs. 1 and 2, they can be seen as a three-dimensional container for packaging 1 according to the invention (which from now on will be defined for the sake of brevity "container") consists of a lid 2 and a horizontal bottom 3 between which it is interposed a casing 4 with vertical walls 5v.
The upper edges 5s and lower 5t of this casing 4 are contained in part or, as in the example shown, for the whole of their length, within two grooves 6, 7 obtained respectively on the surfaces of the aforesaid bottom 3 and of the aforesaid cover 2 which rest on the casing 4 itself.
By suitably dimensioning the depth of the grooves 6, 7 it is possible to couple the casing 4, which preferably can also have a thickness of 40 mm or more, to the said cover 2 and bottom 3.
In order to make their coupling definitive in order to protect the packed product, it is sufficient to obtain on the most extreme horizontal surfaces 2e, 3e (fig. 2) of the cover 2 and of the bottom 3 of the notches 8n suitable to contain inside each of them a means binding 9, which can be for example a strap, represented with a dotted line in fig. 2, which wraps the container 1 vertically.
By obtaining several notches 8n as in the figure, i.e. so that they intersect perpendicularly, it is possible to fix the container with several straps performed on planes perpendicular to each other which guarantee a fastening resistant to stresses in any direction. To protect the 3n notches from the friction of the ligatures, the inventor foresees the possibility of coating them with U-shaped metal or polyzene profiles.
To avoid sliding of the product packed inside the container 1, the inventor suggests to obtain, on the same surfaces of the lid 2 and of the bottom 3 on which the described grooves 6, 7, of the recesses 14, 16 shaped so as to contain the parts are made terminals of the product to be packed.
Passes 15 can also be made on the bottom 3 for inserting the forks of lifting trolleys.
The envelope 4 can have any shape, but it is preferable according to the inventor that each of the aforementioned grooves 6, 7 forms a quadrilateral (a square or a rectangle), so that the vertical walls 5v of the envelope 4 itself constitute consequently the four lateral faces of a parallelepiped.
The casing 4 is constituted by a single sheet of a foldable material so as to be able to form the vertical edges of said parallelepiped in a well defined manner.
To give the casing 4 greater compactness, the inventor plans to connect the vertical edges 10v of its two most extreme portions not at an edge, but at a vertical line L which divides one of the faces of the said into two parts parallelepiped.
The vertical edges 10v, which can be provided with male and female profiles for a joint, can be applied and clamped one inside the other, and be blocked by means of closing means 11, such as for example closing devices of the type known with variable fulcrum used for the closure of rigid cases.
On the face of the parallelepiped formed by the casing 4 towards which the front of a packaged product (for example an appliance) is oriented, it is possible to obtain a door, sealed with gaskets, which can be opened "at the last minute" to apply personalization elements of the product contained, for example the front of a washing machine with indications in a particular language, or to insert accessory elements, for example an instruction booklet also written in a particular language. This detail is not depicted in the drawings.
To make a container 1 according to the invention, all types of synthetic or natural materials currently used in the field of packaging can be used.
One of the inventor's preferred solutions consists, moreover, in using extruded honeycomb sheets in recyclable synthetic resin (preferably in polycarbonate) to make the casing 4, and in making both the lid 2 and the bottom 3 also with a synthetic resin. recyclable (preferably high density polyurethane), associating them with metal reinforcement and stiffening members applied externally or incorporated in the resin.
The use of extruded alveolar plates to obtain the envelope 4 is particularly appropriate in that, by vertically orienting the alveoli and using known methods to make the folding lines constituting the edges of the envelope 4, it can be easily obtained that the envelope 4 , taken separately, it can be folded in both directions around said edges, flattening it to obtain a flat sheet again, or folding it so as to occupy it as little space as possible during transport.
A particular folding method provided by the inventor is schematically illustrated in figs. 3 to 6: in them it can be seen how a casing 4, initially forming a parallelepiped (fig. 3) is then gradually folded, reducing it to a set of overlapping parallel plates occupying a minimum space. In order to be able to transport the assembly in question without the risk of its faces unfolding, the inventor plans to apply on the external surface of a face of the casing 4 which forms an edge S with a part of the face divided in two containing one of the said vertical edges 10v of the first fixing means 12 able to engage with the second fixing means 13 applied on the external surface of the adjacent face.
In this way it is possible to make the closed conformation of the casing 4 more stable, since also the two parts forming a face can be fixed to each other by means of the closing devices 11.
If you want to give the container 1 of the invention a certain tightness, also giving it the possibility of containing loose or even granular products, the inventor suggests to obtain the two said grooves with trapezoidal-shaped section (see fig. 7), and inserting the upper 5s and lower 5t edges of the vertical walls 5v by lightly forcing.
By realizing also only the groove 7 obtained on the bottom 3 of the container 1 with a section of this shape, it is possible to use it as a collection channel for the condensate that should form on the said vertical walls 5v, discharging this condensate outwards through one or more through holes 17j which communicate with said groove 7 and which, having crossed the bottom 3, flow outwards.
Ultimately, by means of a container according to the invention, it is possible to have a versatile container for dismountable and foldable packaging so as to occupy the least possible space, and therefore suitable for being reused after transport to the production plant.
Using the materials recommended by the inventor, it is also possible to recycle their parts, when they are no longer reusable, with minimal impact on the environment.
In conclusion, the inventor achieved all the results he set out to achieve.
