Gleiche Bezugszeichen bedeuten in allen Fig. gleiche Einzelteile.
The invention relates to a heating device according to the introductory part of claim 1.
In known heating devices of this type, separate units arranged in separate housings, namely a fuel cell arrangement and the additional burner with separate exhaust gas guides, are provided, the exhaust gas of which is discharged via separate exhaust gas systems. This results in the disadvantage of a considerable construction effort and a high installation effort.
The aim of the invention is to avoid this disadvantage and to propose a heating device of the type mentioned at the outset, which is distinguished by a very simple construction.
The aim is achieved with the features of claim 1.
The proposed measures result in a very simple construction in which there are only a few lines to be installed on site. This also ensures that there is no backflow of exhaust gases into the unit that may not be in operation.
The features of claim 2 give the advantage of a very extensive use of the heat generated during the operation of the units. In principle, however, it is also possible to route the exhaust gas ducts of the fuel cell arrangement and the additional burner to the common exhaust gas collector via separate heat exchangers. The features of claim 3 result in a very simple construction of the heating device. The operation of both blowers assigned to one of the units ensures that there is no backflow of exhaust gases into a unit that is not in operation.
In addition to the effect of avoiding a backflow of the exhaust gas into the unit that is not in operation, the proposed measures also make it possible to add a larger volume flow of secondary air to the exhaust gas of the unit that is in operation in order to be able to reduce the temperature of the exhaust gas. As a result, it is also possible to operate the fuel cell arrangement for the pure generation of electricity without using the heat generated thereby, without the risk of the heat exchanger overheating or without the occurrence of boiling noises. The features of claim 4 result in a saving of auxiliary energy and a reduction in the wear of the blowers, compared to an operation with a speed that is normal in the operation of these units.
It is expedient to provide the features of claim 5, whereby an adaptation of the speeds of the fans of the two units is possible depending on the temperature of the exhaust gas.
Due to the features of claim 6, a very safe prevention of a backflow of the exhaust gas is possible, which can be found without the use of auxiliary energy. It is also possible to control the flaps by gravity and pressure differences. However, a faster blockage of the return flow path of the exhaust gases is ensured by means of motor-controlled flaps, which is prevented by motor-controlled flaps under all circumstances, whereas, in the case of flaps controlled by gravity and pressure differences, the backflow is not always blocked in particularly unfavorable conditions.
The invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to the drawing. 1 to 3 schematically show different embodiments of heating devices according to the invention. The same reference numerals mean the same individual parts in all the figures. In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, a fuel cell arrangement 1, which also includes a blower 13, is arranged in a housing 11 designed as a vacuum chamber.
Furthermore, an additional burner 10 is arranged in the housing 11 and is supported by a fan 12 arranged in the latter. The fuel cell arrangement 1 is connected to a heat exchanger 3 via an exhaust gas line 2 and acts on it. This heat exchanger 3 is also connected to the additional burner 10 via an exhaust pipe 9 and can also be acted upon by the latter.
Above the heat exchanger 3, an exhaust manifold 4 is arranged, in which an exhaust gas blower 5 is arranged, the pressure side of which is connected to an exhaust gas line 6. The antechamber 24 of the heat exchanger 3 is provided with bypass openings 8, via which secondary air can flow from the interior 20 of the housing 11 into the exhaust manifold 4 via the heat exchanger 3. A differential pressure sensor 23, which detects the pressure difference between the interior 20 of the housing 11 and the interior 21 of the exhaust manifold 4, is also connected to a controller 22.
During operation, gas, water and air containing hydrocarbons are fed to the fuel cell arrangement 1 and converted into electrical current and heat in this. The resulting hot exhaust gases are fed to the common heat exchanger 3 via an exhaust pipe 2 and heat is extracted from this. The cooled exhaust gases then enter the exhaust manifold 4 and are drawn off by the exhaust fan 5.
When the fuel cell arrangement 1 and the auxiliary burner 10 are operated together, or when the auxiliary burner is operated in a solo mode, when only heat is required but no electricity is required, the hot fuel gases of the auxiliary burner 10 reach the common heat exchanger 3 and give off heat. The cooled exhaust gases then reach the exhaust manifold 4.
If the exhaust gas temperature in the area of the heat exchanger 3 exceeds a certain target value, which is detected by the temperature sensor 16 mentioned, the speed of the exhaust gas blower 5 is increased for as long when the two units 1, 10 are operating together, as a result of which more secondary air from the inside of the Housing 11 can flow through bypass openings 8 into the interior of the exhaust manifold 4 until the temperature of the exhaust gases falls below a certain value. Furthermore, it is also possible to provide an increase in the bypass openings 8 of the antechamber 24 of the heat exchanger 3 instead of increasing the speed of the exhaust gas blower 5. It is only necessary to provide the bypass openings 8 with adjustable or controllable flaps.
Conversely, if the exhaust gas temperature is below a certain value, the speed of the exhaust gas blower 5 is reduced or the cross section of the bypass openings 8 is reduced until the exhaust gas temperature exceeds a certain value in order to save energy.
Furthermore, the speed of the exhaust fan 5 depends on the differential pressure between the interior of the housing 11 and the exhaust manifold 4. Thus, if the differential pressure, which is measured by means of pressure sensor 23, falls below a desired value, the speed of the exhaust gas fan 5 is increased or the cross section of the bypass openings 8 is increased until the exhaust gas temperature falls below a certain value or, conversely, if the differential pressure is too high, the speed of the Exhaust gas blower reduced or the cross section of the bypass openings 8 reduced until the exhaust gas temperature exceeds a certain value.
Furthermore, as seen in the flow direction of the exhaust gas flow, the exhaust gas temperature can be detected downstream of the exhaust gas blower 5 by means of a sensor which is connected to the control of the exhaust gas blower 5. If a predetermined target value is exceeded, the speed of the exhaust gas blower 5 is increased or the cross section of the bypass openings 8 is increased and, conversely, if the temperature falls below a certain value, the speed of the exhaust gas blower 5 is reduced or the cross section of the bypass openings 8 is reduced until the temperature reaches a specified value Value reached.
The air is fed into the housing 11, which is designed as a vacuum chamber and is therefore sealed except for the exhaust gas line 6, via a common combustion air line 7, which can optionally be led outside through a wall of the installation space.
When the fuel cell arrangement 1 is operated solo, the fan 12 is also started to prevent the exhaust gases from flowing back into the additional burner 10. If the operation of the fuel cell arrangement 1 takes place without using the heat generated in the process, the exhaust gas temperature is detected by the sensor 16 in the area of the heat exchanger 3, which is connected to a control of the blowers 12, 13 Overheating of the heat exchanger 3 and lead to boiling noises, the speed of the fan 12 is increased until the exhaust gas temperature falls below a certain value.
The embodiment according to FIG. 2 differs from that according to FIG. 1 in that flaps 14 are installed in the exhaust pipes 2, 9 of the two units 1, 10 and are provided with a motor drive 15. These flaps 14 are only opened when the associated unit 1, 10 is in operation and are closed when the associated unit 1, 10 is at a standstill and prevent exhaust gases from flowing back into an unit when the unit is not in operation.
The embodiment according to FIG. 3 differs from that according to FIG. 2 in that the flaps 14 are arranged in the fresh air inlets 17, 18 of the fuel cell arrangement 1 or of the additional burner 10.
The function of this embodiment is practically the same as that of the embodiment according to FIG. 2. If an assembly 1, 10 is not in operation, the flap 14 assigned to this assembly 1, 10 is kept closed, which also means that no exhaust gases from the assembly in operation 1, 10 can enter the stationary unit 1, 10.
