Abstract

The invention concerns an exhaust hood acting as a barrier against parasite insects which proliferate in suction pipes; it also prevents dust and various impurities from being deposited on the suction pipe walls. Said device comprises four elements: the support (1); the squeezing ring (2); the filter (3); the clamping ring (4). The support (1) has on its rear face a sleeve (7) enabling to fix and adjust the device on the suction pipe. The groove (6) provided on the support (1) rear face receives a joint which seals it. The device is assembled by screwing, but there may be other ways. In the clamping ring (4) is housed a filter (3), stabilised by the squeezing ring (2). The clamping ring (4) needs simply to be screwed on the support (1) to make the device functional. The filter (3) may be changed as often as required.

Description

The invention relates to a suction port of new design.

It has significant advantages in the fight against the proliferation and spread of unwanted insects such as cockroaches, cockroaches, etc., which are in particular vectors of diseases and which find in the suction pipes an ideal environment to proliferate and spread. . This suction mouth also acts effectively against fouling of the suction pipes, both for pipes with natural ventilation and with forced extraction. To date, no suction mouth provided for premises for residential use allows to block insects, dust and dross. Its installation and use are very simple.

The main support is adaptable to all sections of the suction lines. In the execution illustrated by the accompanying drawings, it is round in shape, but it can adapt in shape and volume to all requirements. The invention is described below.

Fig. 1 shows the suction mouth in plan with cross section axis A-A. We can distinguish the filter (3) and the clamping ring (4).
Fig. 2 shows the cross section on the axis A-A. We distinguish the 4 assembled elements: the support (1), the pinch ring (2), the filter (3) and the clamping ring (4), the assembly system by screwing (5), the groove for the seal (6) and the sleeve (7).
Fig. 3 shows a front perspective. We can distinguish the filter (3) and the clamping ring (4).
Fig. 4 shows a rear perspective.

We distinguish the support (1), the filter (3) and the clamping ring (4), the groove for the seal (6) and the sleeve (7).
Fig. 5 shows an exploded view of all the parts that make up the suction mouth.
Figs. 6, 7, 8, 9, show the 4 elements separately and in section.

The support (1), in the example of a round shape, has on its rear face a sleeve (7) which allows it to adjust to the suction pipe. A seal in the groove (6) provides a perfect seal to the suction line.

The support (1) can be installed and removed as many times as necessary.

The filter (3) is housed in the clamping ring (4) and held by the clamping ring (2).

The 3 elements are then fixed to the support (1) mechanically (in the example illustrated by the drawings, the system chosen is by screwing).

By replacing the filter with an impermeable cover, a tight closure of the suction mouth is obtained. This allows the main line to be cleaned and disinfected, without causing any inconvenience to local residents due to the chemicals used.

This new suction mouth is effective as soon as installed.

In one direction, the filter prevents any insect from passing from the suction line to the living room and in the other direction, it prevents dust and fumes (fatty fumes from kitchens), from settling on the walls internal suction lines by retaining them by its filter (3).

The advantages of this new suction mouth are as follows:
 - it does not need to be cleaned. The filter (3) is replaced when it is saturated,
 - it prevents insects, possibly present in the pipes, from accessing inhabited premises,
 - it is effective even when the filter (3) is saturated. In this case, the filter (3) acts as a plug and there will always remain an infallible barrier against unwanted insects and at the same time, it protects the suction lines from dirt of all kinds,
 - it offers the possibility of being sealed to allow cleaning and disinfection of the pipe.
