The present invention relates to gas-insulated circuit breakers having in phase two interrupting chambers in series, arranged at the top of an insulating column so as to constitute with the latter a T or a V.
Circuit breakers of this type are known, for example, from documents DE-A 3,733,468 AND EP-A 0 152,583.
In these circuit breakers, the breaking chambers are respectively arranged in insulating envelopes connected to the column by a metal casing having an axial opening and two lateral openings. The casing is fixed to the top of the insulating column, so that its axial opening is positioned coaxially with the geometric axis of the column. The enclosures of the switching chambers are fixed to the casing respectively in line with the lateral openings of the casing. The assembly constituted by the insulating column, the casing and the two envelopes is filled with gases with good dielectric properties, such as sulfur hexafluoride, under a pressure of a few hectopascals. An operating rod is arranged coaxially with the column and connected at its lower part to a hydraulic, mechanical or pneumatic control unit.
At its upper part, the rod is connected to the moving parts of the two interrupting chambers by two connecting rods; these connecting rods each comprise at least one transverse axis which crosses the casing by two openings. These openings make it necessary to provide a permanent seal and constitute a point of weakness of the device, because there is always the risk of leakage due to the aging of the seals. Frequent visits are necessary, which increases the cost of maintaining the devices.
A first object of the invention is to provide a mechanism requiring no lateral opening.
In document GB-A 1 590 833, a circuit breaker is described in which the crankshaft is fixed to a support fixed to a plate.
Another object of the invention is to provide a mechanism which can be entirely mounted outside the circuit breaker and introduced entirely inside the casing by one of the side openings, so as to reduce the mounting time so appreciable.
The subject of the invention is a mechanism for operating the two breaking chambers of a circuit breaker with two T or V breaking chambers, said circuit breaker comprising a vertical column inside which is placed a connected operating rod. to a control, and two interrupting chambers fixed to said column by means of a metal casing, each interrupting chamber comprising a movable assembly, said mechanism comprising a barrel integral and coaxial with said rod, and for controlling each of the chambers a first connecting rod articulated to said barrel and a second connecting rod articulated to said movable assembly, characterized in that said first and second connecting rods are articulated to an intermediate part articulated to a metal part secured to an internal projection in the casing.
Preferably, the projections are molded with the housing.
Advantageously, the metal parts serve as centering parts.
The invention also relates to a method for mounting the above mechanism, characterized in that it comprises the following operations:
- the assembly consisting of the barrel, the first connecting rods, the intermediate parts, the second connecting rods and the metal parts is assembled outside the circuit breaker,
- this assembly is engaged inside the casing by one of the lateral openings,
- the metal parts are positioned on the respective projections and the barrel in front of the rod,
- the barrel is pinned and the metal parts are screwed onto the projections.
The invention will be better understood from the description given below of an embodiment of the invention, with reference to the appended drawing in which:
- fig. 1 is an elevation view of a circuit breaker with two T-shaped interrupting chambers per phase,
- fig. 2 is a partial view in elevation in axial section of a circuit breaker with two T-shaped breaking chambers according to the invention,
- fig. 3 is a sectional view along line III-III of FIG. 2.
The example described relates to a circuit breaker comprising two T-shaped breaking chambers. This example is not limiting, the invention also applying to circuit breakers with two V-shaped breaking chambers.
In fig. 1, reference 1 designates an insulating column 1 formed of two sections 1A and 1B; the column rests on a metal support 2; the circuit breaker comprises two breaking chambers 3 and 4 fixed to the column by means of a metal casing 5. The assembly is filled with a gas with good dielectric properties under a pressure of several hectopascals.
In fig. 2, a distinction is made between the operating rod 6 connected to the base of the insulating column to a control not shown. The rod 6 is connected to the respective moving parts 4A and 4B of the interrupting chambers 3 and 4 by a mechanism which is now described.
The mechanism comprises a barrel 7 coaxial with the rod 6 and secured to the end of the latter. In barrel 7 are articulated two first connecting rods 9A and 9B articulated respectively with two intermediate parts 10A and 10B; to the intermediate pieces 10A and 10B are articulated respectively two second connecting rods 11A and 11B themselves articulated respectively to the moving parts 4A and 4B.
The intermediate parts 10A and 10B are articulated respectively to metal parts 12A and 12B fixed to projections 13A and 13B, inside the casing and preferably coming from molding with it. These projections 13A and 13B also serve as centering parts for the metal parts 12A and 12B. The fixing can be carried out by screwing by means of screws such as 14B and nut 15B.
A first advantage of the mechanism of the invention is that the casing does not have holes opening to the outside and requiring permanent sealing.
A second advantage lies in the ease of mounting the mechanism and the resulting saving in mounting time.
The assembly is carried out as follows: the assembly constituted by the barrel 7, the connecting rods 9A and 9B, the intermediate parts 10A and 10B, the connecting rods 11A and 11B and the metallic parts 12A and 12B, are assembled outside the circuit breaker; it is engaged in the casing by one of the side openings; the parts 12A and 12B are positioned on the respective projections 13A and 13B and the barrel 7 is positioned opposite the rod 6. It then remains to secure "the barrel 7 to the rod 6 and to screw the 10 metal parts 12A and 12B .
The invention applies to high voltage circuit breakers with T or V interrupting chambers.
