Technisches Gebiet
Fig. 1a, b eine schematische Darstellung der zusammenfügbaren Teile im Querschnitt und im Längsschnitt;
Fig. 2 eine schematische perspektivische Darstellung der erfindungsgemässen Isolation;
Fig. 3 eine schematische Darstellung eines erfindungsgemässen Klemmverschlusses.
Wege zur Ausführung der Erfindung
Fig. 1a zeigt eine erfindungsgemässe Isolation im Querschnitt.
Fig. 2 zeigt die Isolation in perspektivischer Darstellung.
Technical field
The invention relates to insulation for heating installations, in particular for ventilation and pumps, from several parts that can be joined together.
State of the art
Due to legal regulations, it is necessary to equip heating installations with the best possible thermal insulation.
It is known to embed heating pipes, valves and pumps in shell-shaped insulation housings filled with rock wool. The bowl-shaped housing is made of PVC and is individually prepared from plate-shaped raw material.
The disadvantage of this known solution is the complex manufacture and assembly.
Presentation of the invention
The object of the invention is to provide an insulation of the type mentioned at the outset, which can be efficiently produced in large numbers and can nevertheless be adapted to individual circumstances with little effort.
According to the invention, the object is achieved in that the parts are formed in one piece from heat-resistant expanded polystyrene.
The rigid foam parts according to the invention can be prefabricated in various standard sizes and then adapted to the particular circumstances using tools.
An expandable polystyrene such as that sold by Shell Chemicals under the brand name "Caril" (also called expandable polystyrene) is particularly suitable for producing the parts according to the invention. A flame retardant is also advantageously added to this foam plastic, which expands at very high pressure.
As a rule, the insulation consists of exactly two parts, one of which is U-shaped in cross-section and the other C-shaped. With their open sides, the two cross sections are dimensionally matched to one another. A U-shaped profile is to be understood to mean a profile which is essentially at right angles to one another. In contrast, a C-shaped cross section is to be understood as a rounded profile or at least formed from a plurality of sides which are not at right angles to one another. The advantage of such a design is its versatility. With such parts, most installations can be isolated, while the space requirement is relatively small.
The parts have side walls with end faces with semicircular recesses to form the openings required for the supply and discharge lines of the heating installation. The recesses are preferably only made subsequently. I.e. The shell-like parts produced in large quantities are free of application-specific bores or recesses. The latter are e.g. only attached on site.
In order to enable simple and positionally accurate assembly, part of the end face of the side walls can have guide means. These position the two halves that can be joined together relative to one another. Guide straps are preferably formed on the inside in a protected manner. In this case, it is also possible to remove the parts from the outside to reduce the wall thickness (which may be necessary in unfavorable space conditions) without the function of the tabs being impaired.
In order to ensure repeated and damage-proof opening of the parts in the course of subsequent maintenance or repair work, it is advisable to design the molded parts, in particular the guide tabs mentioned, in such a way that they can be joined without getting caught. If hook-like interlocking fixation elements are formed on the parts, it can happen with negligent handling of the parts that the hook-like elements mentioned are damaged and the entire insulation is no longer usable.
To fix the parts to the heating installation in question or in order to connect them to each other, at least one strap and a clamp closure are provided. The two parts are attached to the valve from both sides and e.g. wrapped with two ribbons. The clamp closure allows the straps to be easily tensioned and fixed.
As an opening for the passage of a valve setting wheel axis (valve tap) e.g. a hole is drilled in the middle of the part. If necessary, further bores or openings can be provided for other operating or actuating elements or for electrical feeds. As a rule, however, electrical leads can be led out between the molded parts without special precautions.
The wall thickness of the parts according to the invention is, for example, about 3-4 cm or even more. In this way a good insulation value is achieved with moderate material and space requirements.
Further advantageous features of the invention result from the detailed description.
Brief description of the drawings
The invention will be explained in more detail below on the basis of exemplary embodiments and in connection with the drawings. Show it:
Fig. 1a, b is a schematic representation of the parts that can be joined in cross-section and in longitudinal section;
2 shows a schematic perspective illustration of the insulation according to the invention;
Fig. 3 is a schematic representation of a clamp closure according to the invention.
Ways of Carrying Out the Invention
1a shows an insulation according to the invention in cross section. It consists essentially of two one-piece half-shells 1 and 2, which are formed from heat-resistant expanded polystyrene. The half-shell 1 is U-shaped in cross section, i.e. it has three mutually perpendicular outer surfaces 1.1, 1.2, 1.3. The half-shell 2, however, is C-shaped in cross section. It has outer surfaces 2.1,..., 2.5 that are at a 45 ° angle to one another.
With their end faces 1.4 resp. 2.6, the two half-shells 1 and 2 lie close together to enclose a well-insulated interior 3.
Two guide straps 4.1, 4.2 running in the longitudinal direction of the half-shell 2 are formed on the inner edge of the end face 2.6. They ensure that the two half-shells 1 and 2 are positioned precisely relative to one another in the assembled state.
FIG. 1b shows the longitudinal section A shown in FIG. 1a. It can be clearly seen that the half-shell 2 (and of course the half-shell 1 in an analogous manner) is elongated rectangular on its open side. The guide tabs 4.1, 4.2 are continuous longitudinal strips that extend over the entire inside length and have a thickness of e.g. 5 mm. The half-shells 1 and 2 in turn preferably have a wall thickness of approximately 4 cm. The outer dimensions of the half-shells 1 and 2 are typically in the range of 20-50 cm (although the length can be longer).
2 shows the insulation in perspective. The two half-shells 1 and 2 are connected to one another by two bands 7.1, 7.2. Closures 8.1, 8.2 allow the straps 7.1, 7.2 to be easily tensioned and, if necessary, the insulation to be removed later. In order to facilitate the assembly of the tapes 7.1, 7.2 and to determine their position, the half-shells 1 and 2 can have circumferential recesses or depressions for the placement of the tapes 7.1, 7.2.
The one of two openings, which are required for the heating pipes (not shown) leading to the installation, is represented by recesses 5.1, 5.2 in the end faces 1.4, 2.6. (The second opening is, for example, on the underside of the insulation that is not visible in the illustration according to FIG. 2.) The two recesses 5.1, 5.2 are e.g. semicircular to form a round opening for a heating pipe (not shown).
The two closures 8.1, 8.2 are designed so that they do not necessarily have to sit at the ends of a band. You assign e.g. two passages with clamping elements that can be released or closed individually.
In the middle of the outer surface 1.2 is e.g. a bore 6 is provided for an axis (not shown) of a valve adjusting wheel.
3 shows a preferred embodiment of the closure 8.1 or 8.2. An elongated base part 9 has two openable and closable clamps 10 and 11, which are rotatable about the axes 15 and 16 respectively attached to the opposite longitudinal ends of the base part 9.
The brackets 10 and 11 are wedge-shaped, i.e. they taper with increasing distance from the respective axis 15 or 16.
The clip 10 is approximately the same length as the base part 9. When closed, it covers the much shorter clip 11. Preferably, the end of the clip 10 protrudes somewhat beyond the base part 9, so that it can be opened easily if required. On its inside facing base part 9, e.g. two hook-shaped teeth 14.1, 14.2 directed in the direction of the pointed end of the small clamp 11 are formed.
If the clips 10 and 11 are opened (or opened), they each release a corresponding insertion slot and the two ends of the tape to be closed can be threaded in the tape feed direction 12, 13. To fix the band, the small clamp 11 is first closed (the band being clamped between the clamp 11 and the base part 9). Then the tape can be tensioned and locked with the large clip 10.
The insulation shown in the figures is just as suitable for heating valves as for pumps. For embedding a pump, for example, openings or openings other than those shown in FIG. 2 have to be made.
Since temperatures of up to 90 ° C can easily occur in heating systems, it is not possible to use any rigid foams. From the large number of foams, it was necessary within the scope of the invention to determine one which does not soften or melt at these temperatures. After considerable research, it has been shown that the expandable polystyrene sold under the name "Caril" gives very good results when flame retardant is added.
The described embodiment can be modified in many ways. The strip-shaped guide tabs on the inside can be replaced by other projecting parts. In order to ensure the positioning in both directions of the parting plane of the two parts, it is sufficient in principle to attach pins or tabs in the four corners of one of the molded parts. In principle, it is also possible to form guide means on the outside. Finally, a suitable complementary gradation of the end faces is also conceivable.
In contrast to the example shown in the figures, the entire insulation can be formed by two identical cuboidal or U-shaped parts.
In summary, it should be noted that the invention has created a particularly simple option for the efficient insulation of heating installations, in particular of small components such as valves or pumps.
