Abstract
The invention concerns a device for applying an enema consisting of curved tubing (1), wherein an orifice (2) for positioning against the anal sphincter or insertion into the rectum is provided on or can be attached to the short end of the tube (1), the longer part of the tube serving as a handle (5) to hold the device with one hand, and a pneumatic bulb (4) which is connected to the tube (1). Squeezing the pneumatic bulb pumps liquid found therein through the tube and orifice into the bowel.
Description
State of the art:
Various devices are known for this purpose. They usually have a cannula several centimeters long and a few millimeters thick, which has only a small mouth. This cannula is in a rubber bellows.
The disadvantage of such a device is that the application is cumbersome, requires outside help and there is a risk of injury. It is therefore not very suitable as an everyday application for hygiene reasons.
description
It is therefore the object of the present invention to provide a device for applying an enema which is so simple, safe, clean and convenient to use that it ensures optimal hygiene after daily bowel movements and becomes an indispensable routine matter for well-being.
This device is handled behind the back and only needs a short training period. In the case of constipation, a pre- and post-application is indicated and still saves a lot of time. Normally no outside help is necessary. Even with the cannula (6), there is little risk of internal injury if used carefully, because it is short and thick.
The uncomplicated daily use of an enema pump is made possible by a device with the features according to the characterizing part of claim 1.
The drawing shows:
A device with a funnel-shaped mouth 2. This approach is particularly suitable for hemorrhoids.
As a variant, a muzzle piece with a particularly short cannula (6),
As soon as the hemorrhoids have disappeared, the cannula (6) can be used as desired.
For drawing
The mouthpiece (2)
The device consists of a hook-shaped tube (1). The shorter end of the hook is molded or attached in one piece as a special mouthpiece (2) which is intended to be placed on the sphincter and pressed lightly. For this purpose, the mouth (3) is funnel-shaped. This mouth is round or oval shaped so that it fits positively and anatomically correctly when pressed. The longer end of the hook-shaped tube (1) is provided with a pump bellows (4). The handle (5) enables easy handling of the device.
The mouthpiece (2a)
shows an alternative embodiment of the device, which instead of a funnel-shaped or similar depression has a blunt, approximately finger-thick, 3-6 cm long cannula (6) at the shorter end of the tube (1). It is rounded at the front and thus has a blunt front (7) and may also be perforated on the side (8). This shape makes it safer and therefore easier to insert into the sphincter than pointed cannulas.
The drawing
Pipe hook with pump bellows, handle and funnel-shaped mouthpiece, as well as with a short cannula in the illustration.
