Fig. 2 ein erfindungsgemässer Andruckring, und
The invention relates to a handwheel or a hand crank according to the preamble of claim 1 and fastening means for such a handwheel or such a hand crank according to the preamble of claim 10.
Handwheels or hand cranks of this type are used in machine tools, textile machines and other devices. They are usually gripped and operated with one or both hands.
Such handwheels or cranks are usually attached to the end of a shaft. The attachment must be sufficiently stable to safely transmit the force exerted by the user to the shaft. For this purpose, a longitudinal groove is milled into the shaft in conventional designs. A wedge is inserted into this longitudinal groove, which engages in a recess in the handwheel or the crank and prevents a relative rotation of the two parts. In addition, a locking screw is used in the wheel or crank, which presses radially against the shaft or the wedge and ensures axial securing of the parts.
Such a construction is quite complex. The individual parts required and in particular the longitudinal groove in the shaft and the recess in the wheel or crank are expensive to manufacture.
It is therefore the task of providing a handwheel and a hand crank of the type mentioned at the outset, which as far as possible do not have these disadvantages and form a simple, inexpensive alternative to existing solutions.
This object is achieved by the handwheel or the hand crank according to claim 1 and the fastening means according to claim 10.
In the device according to the invention, expensive longitudinal grooves and recesses in the components can be dispensed with. By pressing the pressure elements axially together by the tensioning element, the inner tensioning element is pressed against the shaft and thus secures the crank or the wheel.
The inner pressure element is preferably designed as an axially compressible ring which lies on the shaft. This ring can be interrupted at one point by a gap, which facilitates radial compression. The ring should preferably be made of an elastic material. To simplify assembly, its inner diameter should be slightly larger than the outer diameter of the shaft end when relaxed.
The inner pressure element can be designed like a wedge, so that it has an outer surface which is at an angle to the shaft axis and which can slide along a parallel inner surface of the outer pressure element.
The tensioning element can comprise a screwing device which interacts with an abutment. The pressure elements are pressed axially between these two parts. The construction becomes particularly simple if the screwing device is screwed axially onto the shaft at the end and / or the abutment is formed by a shoulder on the shaft.
The hold of the device is improved if the opening of the outer pressure member comprises a cylindrical guide section, the inner diameter of which is selected such that it engages around the shaft essentially in a form-fitting manner.
Further advantages and applications of the invention emerge from the following description with reference to the figures. Show:
1 shows a first embodiment of the invention in the form of a handwheel,
2 shows a pressure ring according to the invention, and
Fig. 3 shows a second embodiment of the invention in the form of a hand crank.
Fig. 1 shows a handwheel 1 on the end of a shaft 2. The handwheel 1 has a handle 3 made of plastic or metal, which is fixedly attached to a tube 4 made of metal. The tube 4 has a form-fitting end portion 5 of the shaft. This end region 5 has a somewhat smaller diameter than a shaft region 6 of the shaft. The shaft forms a shoulder 7 between the two areas 5 and 6. A pressure ring 8 with a wedge-shaped cross section rests on this shoulder 7. It has an outer surface 9 which runs obliquely to the shaft axis and which bears on the inner surface 10 of an expression mouth of the tube 4 which widens like a funnel.
As can be seen from FIG. 2, the pressure ring 8 is interrupted at one point by a slot 12. The pressure ring 8 is made of an elastic material, preferably steel, aluminum, gray cast iron or sintered cast iron. However, it can also be made of plastic or rubber. It is dimensioned such that its cylindrical inner surface has a somewhat larger diameter than the end region 5 of the shaft 2 in the relaxed state. Thanks to the slot 12, however, it is radially compressible and can be pressed firmly onto the shaft.
A screw 13 is let into the end of the shaft 2. The head of the screw 13 lies on a washer 14, which in turn is supported on the tube 4.
To fix the handwheel 1 on the shaft 2, the screw 13 is tightened. This creates an axial force on the washer 14, which urges the tube 4 against the pressure ring 8. Via the inclined surfaces 9, 10, this axial force is converted into a radial force which presses the ring 8 onto the shaft 2. This creates a non-positive connection between the shaft 2 and the handwheel 1.
A second embodiment of the invention is shown in the form of a hand crank 20 in FIG. 3. This hand crank comprises a handle 21 on an arm 22 in a known manner. The arm 22 is in turn attached to a tube 4. Furthermore, as in FIG. 1, a pressure ring 8 and a screw 13 with a washer 14 are provided. In contrast to FIG. 1, however, the shaft 2 has an essentially constant diameter over its entire length. Therefore, it is provided with a circumferential groove 23 in which a snap ring 24 is located. This takes over the role of paragraph 7 of the embodiment according to FIG. 1.
3 is therefore the same as in the first embodiment. The tube 4 and the ring 8 form outer and inner pressure members which are pressed together between the clamping members. The tensioning elements comprise the screw 13, the washer 14 and the snap ring 24.
To improve the effect of the clamping ring 8, its inner and / or outer surfaces can be provided with a roughened surface or a suitable profile, so that the static friction between the parts increases.
The angle between the shaft axis and the outer surface 9 of the clamping ring 8 or the inner surface 10 of the pressure mouth of the tube 4 is preferably 30 degrees. However, it can be selected in a range between approximately 15 and 45 degrees. If the angle is too small, the tube 4 and the pressure ring 8 can wedge, so that the connection can no longer be released. If the angle is too large, the pressure force becomes too small.
However, the clamping ring does not necessarily have to be wedge-shaped. Its shape only has to be suitable for converting an axial clamping force into a radial pressing force together with the pressure mouth of the tube 4.
Depending on the material used, the slot 12 in the clamping ring 8 can also be omitted or cannot be made continuously. A plurality of continuous or non-continuous slots can also be provided. Instead of the clamping ring 8, individual wedges can also be used.
The embodiment of FIG. 2 is preferred, however, because it is simple to manufacture and handle.
In the present embodiments, the clamping ring 8 and the pressure mouth are at the shaft-side end of the tube 4. However, they can also be arranged at the screw-side end of the tube 4, so that the pressure ring 8 lies with the screw 13 or the washer 14.
The tube 4 can also be an integral part of the handle 3 or the arm 22 and form its inner end.
In any case, the invention offers a simple and inexpensive means of detachably attaching a handwheel to a shaft.
