The invention relates to a conveyor device arranged in the area of a safety fire gate according to the preamble of claim 1. Conveyor devices of this type are used in particular to transport goods through an opening in a building wall provided with a safety fire gate and in the event of a fire, in good time from the room area that the security fire gate is at the closing movement needs to be conveyed away, so that the closing movement is not hindered by transport goods lying on the conveying device.
Known conveyor devices have for this purpose a first free-running roller conveyor leading to the fire protection door and a second leading away from the fire protection door. The two roller conveyors are designed with a gradient such that their weight alone acts as the driving force for moving the goods in transit, so that a cargo that is on the conveyor device in the event of a fire breaks out solely through the aforementioned driving force, which is independent of electrical drive devices is transported away from the space mentioned.
Experience has now shown that with such a conveying device the timely escape of a transport good from the space area mentioned cannot always be ensured. For example, the speed at which a transport good slides over the two roller conveyors cannot be precisely determined due to the rolling friction that changes over time due to wear and tear and depends on the load on the rollers, so that a closing fire protection door can be blocked by an opening Transport goods lying in the conveyor cannot be excluded with absolute certainty.
Furthermore, it has already been proposed to use two roller conveyors driven by electric motors instead of the two free-running roller conveyors described above, and to drive their drive motors in the event of a fire and a consequent lack of power supply by an emergency power generator, in order to thereby transport goods which are present in the event of a power failure on the Conveyor is located at a predetermined speed to transport away in time from the area that the gate needs during the closing movement.
This conveyor device now - in contrast to the first-mentioned device - allows safe and timely discharge of a transport item from the space mentioned, but has the major disadvantage that it is not only relatively expensive to purchase because of the emergency power generator to be connected to the drive motors, but also requires maintenance .
Starting from a conveyor device driven by electric motors, the object of the invention is to propose a conveyor device which does not have the disadvantages of the conveyor devices described above.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by a conveyor device with the features of patent claim 1.
An embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the drawing. The single figure of the drawing shows a schematic representation of a conveyor device arranged in the area of a safety fire gate.
The conveyor device shown in the drawing and designated as a whole by 1 leads through an opening 3 present in a building wall 2, which can be locked by a safety fire gate 4. The conveyor device 1 is designed as part of a conveyor system and serves to convey goods 5 through the opening 3.
The conveyor device 1 has a horizontally running first roller conveyor 6 leading to the safety fire protection gate 4 and a second roller conveyor 11 leading away from the fire protection gate 4.
The first roller conveyor 6 has an electric drive motor 7, which serves to drive the rollers 9, which are connected to one another by a continuous chain 8, by means of a second chain 10. The second roller conveyor 11 is essentially of the same design as the first and has a drive motor 12, as well as a plurality of rollers 15 driven by chains 13 and 14.
The two drive motors 7 and 12 now additionally each have a flywheel 7b or 12b, which is fastened to their shafts 7a and 12a, and are dimensioned and designed such that transport goods which are on the conveyor device when there is no power supply, leave the room area in good time , which the gate 4 needs during the closing movement, are carried away so that they do not hinder this closing movement.
The flywheel can be designed, for example, as a disk flywheel attached to the motor shaft, which has a relatively heavy disk ring on its outer edge. The disc flywheel now stores kinetic energy during normal operation of the conveyor device and releases it in the event of a power failure caused by a fire, so that the motor shaft will continue to rotate for at least a certain time after the power supply has been cut off.
As can be seen without further ado, the chains 8 and 13 of the two drive motors 7 and 12 are moved in such a way that a transport item 5 led by a conveyor belt 17 in the direction of the arrow 18 to the fire protection gate 4 is picked up by the conveyor device 1, passed through the opening 3 and then is transported away from another conveyor belt 19 in the direction of arrow 20.
If, for example, goods to be transported 5 are conveyed from the conveyor belt 17 to the roller conveyors 6 shortly before a power failure caused by a fire, this can occur after the lack of power supply due to the persistence of the flywheel mass and the consequent further movement of the drive chains 10 and 8 or 13 and 14 are still conveyed through the opening 3 and out of the room area which the fire protection door 4 requires during the closing movement, specifically before it hinders the closing movement of the fire protection door, so that the fire protection door is thereby securely closed.
