Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Palette. Paletten aus Holz sind allgemein bekannt. Solche Paletten erweisen sich als nachteilig im Hinblick darauf, dass sie unhygienisch sind, weil Holz schnell organische Materie absorbiert. Es ist daher Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung, eine Palette zu schaffen, die man auch im Hygienebereich, beispielsweise in der Lebensmittel- und Pharmaindustrie, einsetzen kann. Zwischen Unterteil und Oberteil können die Verstärkungsrohre 8 bis 12 oder gegebenenfalls nur einige davon in die halbmondförmigen Aussparungen (18 in Fig. 4) eingelegt werden. Vorzugsweise werden die Verstärkungsrohre 8 bis 12 unter sich lose und mit etwas Spiel an den Enden montiert, um eine Bewegung bei Wärmeausdehnung zu ermöglichen. Die Verstärkungsrohre sind daher derart eingeklemmt, dass sie sich bei Temperaturveränderungen dehnen können. In einer anderen Ausführung der Erfindung kann eine grossflächige dünne Platte zwischen Unterteil und Oberteil geschweisst werden, so dass in diesem Fall die Verrippungen beider Teile nicht unbedingt geometrisch übereinstimmen müssen.
