Abstract

The cash desk comprises a body (1), a till device (3) and a scanner (4) for scanning an article label. The scanner is arranged below a glass sheet (14) which is flush with the body panel (10). An article conveyor belt (2) is provided. The surface quality of the belt, the body panel and the glass sheet are such that the sliding capacity of the articles remains constant. Furthermore, a mirror (17) is provided through which the operator can see at least one of the sides of the article facing away from him/her.
