To aggravate theft in sales and presentation rooms for expensive items such as clothing, technical consumables and accessories, etc., a number of devices have already become known. Apart from items that can be enclosed, which can be visibly displayed in glass cabinets and at the same time can be protected against unauthorized access, for many articles there is a need for a presentation in which the items offered are "tangible". In the clothing sector, suspension devices with sleeve safeguards have become known, which can be locked individually or in groups by the sales staff. Such devices are preferably manufactured in the form of racks or permanently mounted wall supports, on which e.g. lockable clothes hangers can be attached.
Due to the increasing use of support devices for the optional attachment of easily interchangeable brackets for the presentation of light or medium-weight clothes and accessories of all kinds, there is a need for support arms that can be used on columns, cross stands, support walls and the like with a lockable securing arrangement that is in the open state has a tendency to close and cannot be operated by unauthorized persons. With the automatic closing tendency it can advantageously be achieved that the support arm does not have to be closed after removal of the goods and thus cannot be left open accidentally.
The present invention therefore relates to a lockable support arm, in particular for the presentation of goods, which is designed in accordance with the characterizing features of patent claim 1. Embodiments thereof are defined by the dependent claims.
Two embodiments of the support arm according to the invention are described below with reference to the drawing. Show it
1a and 1b, a first, obliquely downwardly inclined embodiment of the support arm, in each case in the open and in the closed position of the article receiving areas,
2a and 2b an analog, obliquely upward inclined embodiment of the support arm, also in the open and in the closed position,
3a and 3b sections in the lock area along the lines IIIa / IIIa and IIIb / IIIb in Figs. 1a and 1b, and
Fig. 4 shows an alternative form of the connection area of the support arm to a vertically slotted column or support wall.
1a and 1b, 1 designates a metal cantilever plate of 4-5 mm thickness, which is provided with a mounting member 2, for example a suspension device with an S-shaped anchoring part for detachable attachment to a supporting wall 3. The delivery plate 1 contains on its underside a number of step-shaped (in FIGS. 1a and 1b the five) article support zones 8 which are delimited by a contour 5 which connects two adjacent support zones 8 to one another. The support zone 8 is located on a support finger 6 with an end rib 7, which is designed as the one blocking member of a receiving area 4. It is oriented essentially horizontally.
A slide plate 9, shown in dash-dot lines in FIGS. 1a and 1b, is located laterally against the extension plate 1 and is mounted for longitudinal movement in guide grooves 11 of the extension plate 1 by means of two cap screws 10. See here the additional sketch in circle K for Fig. 1a. The slide plate 9 can, like the extension plate 1, consist of 4-5 mm thick sheet steel and has a recess 13 on its lower limit 12 in the use position for each of the receiving areas 4 in the extension plate 1. The recesses 13 are spaced apart from one another by a locking lug 14. The distances between the tips of the end ribs 7 and the locking lugs 14 are the same and lie exactly opposite one another in the closed state of the support arm essentially formed by the extension plate 1 and the slide plate 9.
The idea of the invention, to cause the support arm plates 1, 9 to be closed practically without great effort by the operator, is realized here by also using the gravity of the slide plate 9 for the movement drive. It had to be taken into account that the slide plate should not only be moved during the closing process, but also when the support arm was opened. Furthermore, the slide plate should contribute to improving the transverse stability of the entire support arm. This resulted in a relatively high weight for the slide plate, which would be useful for the closing process, but rather difficult to open. In order to make a compromise, the guide grooves 11, which can be present both in the cantilever plate and in the slide plate, were set at an angle to the vertical.
An angle alpha between 40 and 50 °, preferably 45 ° to the vertical V has proven to be expedient (FIGS. 1a, 2b). The movement force to be applied to a slide plate 9 weighing about 500 g should not be greater than about 400 g for the opening process (= longitudinal displacement) and should be able to be applied with one finger of one hand while the object is lifted out of the receiving area 4 with the other hand .
The support arm can, as can be seen from FIGS. 1a, 1b and 2a, 2b, be inclined downwards or upwards. As is customary in the case of known inclined brackets, the angle of inclination beta is approximately 30 ° to the horizontal H. It is expedient to choose the top contours of the boom and slide plates so that they lie in the same plane when the support arm is closed. The openings of the article receiving areas 4 can point towards or away from the support wall 3 or support column 10 irrespective of the support arm inclination direction, as can best be seen from FIGS. 1b and 2b.
The boom plate 1 and / or the slide plate 9 are provided with parts of a lock arrangement by means of which the two plates can be locked against one another, as shown in FIGS. 3a and 3b. The design of the lock arrangement is not essential in the context of the invention. Locks appear useful with self-locking sliding bolts, for example by spring force, which are accommodated on one of the support arm plates 1, 9 in a lock housing 15 and can be pulled out of an opening 16 in the other support arm plate 9, 1 with a key.
If the opening 16 is in the slide plate 9, a plug 17 covering the opening 16 can be designed to actuate this plate 9. If, on the other hand, the lock housing is on the slide plate 9, this can itself serve to actuate the slide plate.
2a and 2b, analogously to FIGS. 1a and 1b, reference is made to the already mentioned embodiment of the upwardly inclined support arm. 2a and 2b show an embodiment of the support arm with three receiving areas 4, the opening of which is facing away from the support wall 3 by appropriate design of the support arm plates 1.1 and 9.1. Each of these areas in turn has an essentially horizontal support zone 8. Otherwise, identical parts as in FIGS. 1a and 1b are provided with the same characters.
In Fig. 4 the embodiment of a mounting member 18 is shown with hooks 19 which engage in vertical slots 20 of a column profile 21 and are therefore easily removable.
