Gut geeignete Sikkative dieser Gruppe, d.h. die Einzelmetallderivate, wurden unter der Handelsbezeichnung Nuodex von der Fa. URAI S.p.a., Assago, Italien, bezogen. Es hat sich ein Gemisch aus einem niederen Glykolether vom Siedepunkt zwischen 100 und 150°C mit einem Esteralkohol vom Siedepunkt 180 bis 260°C bewährt. Solche Glykolether sind z.B. Dowanol PM der Dow Chemical Company (Propylenglykolmonomethylether) sowie Ethylenglykolmethylether und Ethylenglycolethyl-ether, insbesondere aber Butyldiglykolether («Butylcarbitol»). Esteralkohole sind z.B. Glykolmonofor-miat und -acetat. Bewährt hat sich das Produkt TEXANOL der Eastman Chemical Company.
