Abstract

The adjustable ski boot consists of a shell (1) which fits over the foot and toes, and a leg section in two parts (3,4), fitting round the front and rear of the leg respectively. The front part of the leg section has an aperture over the instep and two transverse tongues (8) which overlap and engage with the rear part (4) of the leg section by a fixing (9) on each side, applying a tension which holds the boot in place. In a variant of the design, the tongues can be made on the rear leg section, coming round the leg and fastening at the front.
