Abstract
Ink or marking ink is made contg. a colourless or coloured substance (I) which has a high extinction coefft. for light with a wavelength of 200-400nm to increase its absorption of UV light. Pref. (I) is a cpd. with conjugated double bonds so that UV excites pi-pi-star transitions of the double bond electrons to give a high extinction coefft. for light at wavelengths of 200-400nm. (I) is esp. an anthraquinone deriv., partic. alizarin or alizarin red. USE/ADVANTAGE - The inks are suitable for the prodn. of graphics which are to be copied using UV copiers, and esp. for drawing of plotted patterns for the prodn. of etched electronic circuit boards using photographic transfer methods.
Description
The invention relates to ink or ink, defined in claim 1.
The conventional inks and inks are not always suitable for originals that are photographically copied with ultraviolet light due to their lack of opacity.
In particular, templates plotted with conventional ink cannot be used to produce etched electronic circuit boards, since the opacity of approx. 90% is insufficient for photographic transmission.
The present invention overcomes this deficiency by adding a special UV filter to absorb the ultraviolet light of the ink.
High UV absorption can be achieved by stimulating PI-PI-STAR transitions of double bond electrons in the substance to be added.
As a reworkable example, the addition of alizarin and alizarin red to commercially available ink is listed.
