Fig. 1 - La fig.
Fig. 2 - La fig.
Fig. 3 - La fig.
Fig. 4 - La fig.
It is a wire sawing device, comprising a sheet of wires 4, capable of moving in a continuous or reciprocating movement in abutment against a workpiece 2 thus defining a sawing zone. The sawing zone comprises inter alia a set of cylinders 1 placed in parallel constituting the saw head. These cylinders called wire guides are engraved with grooves which define the interval between the wires of the ply, therefore the thickness of the parts to be sawn. The sawing zone generally comprises, in addition to the saw head 3, a table 6 supporting the workpiece 2 and means for supplying abrasive slip.
Sawing devices of the aforementioned type are already known, especially in the electronic components, ferrites, quartz and silica industry, for obtaining thin slices of materials such as silicon (poly or monocrystalline), or the new materials such as GaAs, InP, GGG or also quartz, synthetic sapphire, or even ceramic. The high price of these materials makes wire sawing more attractive compared to other techniques such as diamond disc sawing.
However, the wire sawing technique requires mass production since the high number of wires and the difficulty of modifying the distance between wires does not allow economic work with small quantities.
Thus, among the known devices for sawing heads, mention may be made of sets of 2, 3 or 4 wire guides placed in a regular geometrical arrangement or not, but mechanically fixed independently of one another to the sawing device. and the drive system. Generally these fasteners are in themselves delicate mechanical assemblies acting as bearings with their sealing system. Their disassembly requires long, cumbersome and complicated operations, which makes it difficult and expensive to modify the thickness of the parts to be cut and impractical to operate this type of device.
In fact, each modification requires the complete disassembly of all of the wire guides and all or part of the fastenings including the bearings. This requires intervention inside the organs of the sawing device both on the motor side and on the side. sawing proper.
The object of the invention is to remedy the aforementioned drawbacks by providing a sawing device of the type mentioned above allowing rapid modification of the characteristics of the wire guides or their exchange for reconditioning. The sawing device according to the invention is characterized in that the wire guides are mounted in such a way that their separation from the saw head is done from the front without intervention from the rear of the machine except possible coupling to the engine system. The thread guide cylinder itself becomes an easily and quickly interchangeable element from the front.
The sawing device, object of the present invention, therefore comprises, at least two parts, namely an assembly intended for wire management and a sawing head made up of parallel cylinders serving as wire guides mechanically fixed in such a way that their disassembly and reassembly can be done all from the front of the machine either in the form of an assembly comprising all of the wire guides or individually. The wire guides can either be cantilevered or held on both sides.
The sawing assembly can therefore have several interchangeable thread guide assemblies with or without variable parameters, such as length or no variable grooves.
The accompanying drawings illustrate schematically and by way of examples sawing devices in accordance with the invention, as well as several variants.
Fig. 1 - Fig. 1 shows a front view of a sawing device composed of two parts, namely a module representing the saw head 3 and a wire management assembly 8. The wire guide cylinders 1 are detached from the saw head in a block from the front.
The sawing zone 7 also includes in this case the ingot support 6.
Fig. 2 - Fig. 2 shows a side view of a sawing device with its saw head 3 composed of its wire guide cylinders removable from the front.
Fig. 3 - Fig. 3 shows a schematic section of a wire guide cylinder showing the bearing boxes detaching from the front.
Fig. 4 - Fig. 4 schematically illustrates another possibility of disassembly using a system of cones for fixing, in this case the rolling boxes are not even disassembled, a simple uncoupling is necessary.
The saw wire forming the ply 4 stretched by the wire guides is generally made of spring steel with a diameter between 0.1 and 0.2 mm, this for silicon blocks having in their section an inscribed circle 100 mm or more, cut into 0.1 to 1 mm slices. It is possible to produce between 200 and 1000 slices at a time per block in a time of 1 to 6 hours depending on the wire speeds.
The device described in the present invention makes it possible, by the use of easily exchangeable guide-cylinder all the way from the front, to cut under optimal conditions one or more blocks placed side by side with variations in parameter which are not will not hesitate to modify due to the ease of exchange and the short downtime of the installation. Productivity can then be increased as well as the versatility of the sawing device.
The abrasive generally consists of a mixture of lifting liquid and an abrasive solid. More particularly, this mixture can consist of an aqueous medium or of oil with silicon or boron carbides, or alumina oxides. It can also have surfactants such as carboxymethyl cellulose or glycerin etc. Diamond paste can also be considered.
Thus thanks to the use of a simplified dismantling system, the modification of the thickness and quantity parameters can be carried out without loss of time and the maintenance during the exchange of worn wire guides reduced to a minimum of operations, resulting in a significant reduction in operating costs.
Naturally, other types of device can be envisaged in the context of the present invention. In fact, the modular aspect and the interchangeability of the wire guide cylinders can have other forms, always in the spirit of having flexibility with respect to the cutting parameters and a minimum of operating costs per reduction of machine downtime.
For example, it would be possible to imagine several wire guide cylinders mounted on a barrel. The rotation of the barrel modifying the sawing parameters.
