The present invention relates to a flat filter grid, of generally rectangular shape, usable in particular as a strainer for water intake in a water flow of low height.
Are already known, in particular from patent CH 597 894 of the same holder, cylindrical-conical filters which allow for example to ensure a water intake in the river without sucking the floating impurities which slide along the filter, while the water passes through filtration slots and enters the interior of the filter for use. Such filters are characterized by the fact that they have slots whose opening increases from upstream to downstream, this being made possible by the generally conical shape of the filters, the diameter of the filter disposed in the upstream water stream being less than the downstream diameter thereof. Of course, the use of such filters requires a certain height of water to be submerged.
In the case where the water flow is low, the use of such cylindrical-conical filters is not possible, and it is then necessary to have flat grids intended to be placed at the bottom of the torrent, the canal or gutter. However, the solution advocated by the aforementioned Swiss patent, involving increasing openings in the grid, is not applicable in the case of flat grids which would require a "fan" construction to obtain the same result, thus preventing the production of grids. general rectangular shape, desired for example for the formation of panels using several such grids.
The object of the present invention therefore consists in remedying the aforementioned problem, by providing a filter grid of generally rectangular shape and which has the same practical advantages as the cylindrico-conical filters described in patent CH 597 894.
Thus, the filtering grid object of this invention, aiming to achieve the above object, has the characteristics defined in claim 1.
The appended drawing illustrates schematically and by way of example an embodiment of the filter grid according to the invention.
Fig. 1 is a general perspective view thereof.
Figs. 2 and 3 are partially sectional views of details illustrating each of the end portions of the grid according to FIG. 1.
With reference to the appended drawing, the filter grid consists of a series of T-profiles (1, 1 min) arranged parallel to each other, so as to form a rectangle, a longitudinal space being provided between each profile so as to form longitudinal filtration slots 2 (for example about 3 mm in width). Preferably, the T-profiles (1, 1 min) are made of metal or a suitable plastic material.
The set of longitudinal sections 1, 1 min is surrounded by a frame formed by two lateral angles 3, and by two end plates 4, 5. Preferably, the lateral angles 3 are attached, and are also adjustable in particular to make up for any play with the rigid structure on which the grid is intended to be placed.
As is clear from the figures of details 2 and 3, the T-profiles (1, 1 min) are at one end of the grid all in the same horizontal plane, the upper face of these profiles forming a flat surface with parallel longitudinal slots (fig. 2). On the other hand, some of the 1 min T-profiles, here one out of two profiles, are raised at the other end of the grid by means of shims 6 (for example about 6 mm), so that these profiles 1 min have a regular slope from one end to the other of the grid with respect to the non-raised profiles 1 (fig. 3).
This offset in the vertical plane of certain profiles 1 min relative to others 1 makes it possible to form filtration slots 2 which open vertically from one end to the other of the grid, the space in the horizontal plane between profiles 1, 1 min remaining constant. Thus, with this rectangular grid, a filter is obtained having the same advantages as that of cylindrical-conical shape with divergent slots described in the previous Swiss patent of the same holder.
As shown in fig. 2, the grid may also include a stiffening element 7 intended to ensure the rigidity of the assembly.
The filtering grid according to the invention, as described by way of example with reference to the appended drawing, can therefore be used as a strainer for a water intake in a flow of low water height; the end of the grid having all the profiles 1, 1 min at the same level being arranged upstream and the other end with a profile 1 min out of two raised downstream, in the direction of the water current illustrated by the arrows I .
As shown in dashed lines in FIG. 1, the filter grid according to the invention can therefore be fixed, for example by means of screws or bolts 8, to a structure 9, for example of cement or concrete, intended to collect the filtered water, which will then be pumped by lateral driving 10.
The rectangular shape of the grid according to the invention allows its assembly with other identical grids to form a filtration panel of larger dimensions.
On the other hand, in addition to the advantages already mentioned analogous to those of the aforementioned cylindrical-conical filters, the design of the slots opening progressively vertically makes it possible to form a contact surface and therefore of friction divided by two, facilitating the sliding and the evacuation of foreign bodies entrained by the speed of the moving fluid in which the grid is embedded. The slots being in fact inclined, this results in a lesser adhesion of these impurities along said slots.
Finally, according to a variant not illustrated, the height of the vertical offset could be modified by means of a simple mechanical or hydraulic device which can be operated remotely.
