Fig. 1 einen Schnitt durch die Abfallpresse,
Fig. 3 eine Frontansicht der Abfallpresse mit Pumpe.
The invention relates to a waste press according to the preamble of claim 1.
Presses for reducing the volume of waste are already known, but they either press the waste into compact bales or compress the contents of metallic containers.
With the present invention, the object is to be achieved to create a simple waste press with the household, hotel, hospital waste or the like. can be pressed together so that it can be filled in compressed form into standard rubbish bags.
This object is achieved by the features mentioned in the characterizing part of the claim.
The pre-pressed part kinks bulky waste parts so that they cannot later penetrate the thin-walled rubbish bag. The annular narrowing makes it easier to eject the compressed waste package into the rubbish bag placed over the press bucket jacket.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the subject of the invention is shown. Show it:
1 shows a section through the waste press,
2 is a plan view of the plunger with locking members,
Fig. 3 is a front view of the waste press with a pump.
The waste press contains a platform 1, on which a vertical hydraulic cylinder 2 is rigidly attached and secured by an oblique strut 9. Inside the double-acting hydraulic cylinder 2 there is a piston to which a piston rod 3 projecting from above is attached. With the upper end of the piston rod 3, a cross member 4 is rigidly connected, which carries a vertical rod 5. At the lower end of this rod 5, a plunger 6 is fastened, which protrudes into a press bucket 7 and is intended for compressing the waste filled therein. The press bucket 7, which is open at the top and bottom, contains a cylindrical jacket which lies loosely on the platform 1. A commercially available rubbish bag 8, which usually consists of flexible, thin-walled plastic film, is placed over this jacket from the outside.
The plate-like plunger 6 below contains a smaller pre-pressed part 10, which is designed, for example, as a square, a tube or a cone. Approximately in the upper third of the press bucket 7 there is an annular constriction in the form of a truncated cone-shaped ring 12, which constricts the free diameter by approximately 15-20%. As a variant, the upper press bucket part could have a correspondingly smaller diameter, for example in the form of a double wall. The plunger 6 has a cross section that corresponds at most to the inside width of the narrowest point of this ring 12. However, there is preferably an annular gap between the plunger 6 and the ring 12.
A hydraulic pump 14 is located on the side of the press bucket 7. For manual operation of the same, an upwardly projecting rod 16 is provided with the pump. By moving this rod 16 back and forth, pressure oil is supplied to the hydraulic cylinder 2 via a line (not shown). Instead of a manually operated hydraulic pump 14, this could also be driven by an electric motor.
A locking device 18 according to FIG. 2 interacts with the plunger 6. Two radially opposite bolts 20 can be radially engaged and disengaged on the circumference of the press cylinder 6. By rotating a plate-shaped intermediate piece 22 about an axis 24 by means of a hand lever, the bolts 20 come to lie under the ring 12 at the end of the pressing process, so that the press bucket 7 is carried upward when the press piston 6 is subsequently raised hydraulically. The locking members could also be designed differently, for example by means of two diametrically opposed, mounted in the jacket and penetrating this, from the outside accessible slide which can be inserted manually under the plunger 6.
In the uppermost end position of the press plunger 6, it protrudes beyond the upper edge of the press tub 7 and can be pivoted laterally for convenient filling of the press tub 7.
This waste press works as follows:
A flexible garbage bag 8 is placed over the jacket of the press bucket 7 from below. The press bucket 7 is then lowered so that it rests on the platform 1 together with the sack. Waste can then be poured into the press bucket 7, which is open at the top, the press plunger 6 preferably being pivoted out laterally. To compress the waste inside the press bucket 7, the press piston 6 provided with stiffening plates 11 is inserted into the press bucket 7 and the hydraulic pump is actuated.
As a result, the plunger 6 moves downward and compresses the waste. Depending on the degree of filling, the plunger can be raised again by means of a reversing valve and refill can be refilled. Bulky waste parts are bent and pre-pressed through the pre-pressed part. The waste can be compressed to about 1/8 of its original volume using this press. When the plunger 6 reaches below the ring 12 which narrows the diameter, the locking members 18 are actuated by the bolts 20 being extended radially and thereby passing under the ring 12. The content of the press bucket 7 is in a compressed state. By reversing the pressure oil supply to the double-acting hydraulic cylinder 2, the press piston 6 locked in this way is lifted and takes the press bucket 7 with it.
As soon as a sufficient height is reached, the garbage bag 8, including the compressed contents of the press bucket, is pulled down and removed. An empty garbage bag is then placed over the jacket and the empty press bucket 7 is lowered again by supplying compressed oil to the hydraulic cylinder 2 as described.
