BESCHREIBUNG

DESCRIPTION
The invention relates to a method for unbalance compensation in a washing centrifuge by attaching a counterweight corresponding to the unbalanced mass to a peripheral region of the drum of the centrifuge by means of a quantity of a liquid following one of unbalance determination and location, and feeding it into one or some of the compensation chambers that are on the periphery the drum are provided.
The problem of unbalance compensation mainly affects the large industrial washing centrifuge machines, in which considerable amounts of dirty laundry are washed and centrifuged. A more or less random accumulation of the laundry to be treated leads to centrifugation, i.e. when rotating the drum with increased revolutions to create an unbalance force. To date, the procedure has been to try to shift the accumulation of laundry in the drum by repeatedly braking the start of the machine. If this did not work, you might have to stop the process and arrange the laundry by hand for centrifugation.
If this was also not successful, it was simply not possible to centrifuge the laundry at the appropriate revolutions, one had to stay at a speed at which the unbalance effects, i.e. the shaking of the machine, the loading of the foundation etc. were still reasonably permissible or justifiable. This meant that the laundry was possibly insufficiently dewatered, had a relatively large or inadmissible residual moisture, which could eventually lead to damage or destruction of the laundry.
Attempts have also been made to compensate for the imbalance which has arisen accidentally in the drum of the machine by applying an opposing counterweight. Such a machine had a soft, resilient bearing on the drum so that it would be unbalanced when centrifuging out of the normal, i.e. unloaded axis position can dodge in a position where the axis of the drum tumbled to the axis of the housing.
This wobbling motion was transferred to a disc attached to the drum shaft perpendicular to the drum axis. Due to the inclination of this plate with respect to a contact plate, various electrical contacts were switched on and off in accordance with the tumbling of the drum, which led to pumps via which some equalizing chambers distributed evenly around the circumference of the drum were filled with water until after reaching one a satisfactory balanced condition, a limit switch, a whip switch that stopped the pumps from working. With this machine you can actually achieve balancing, albeit roughly, but it has several disadvantages, e.g. the interaction of the electrical contacts is rubbing, which leads to wear of this device.
Furthermore, as mentioned above, the balancing can only be carried out relatively roughly, basically only at six points of roughly located unbalanced masses in a circle. An ideal balancing cannot be achieved with this machine, moreover, the drum of the machine must be in soft, i.e. the tumbling of the drum under the unbalanced storage be stored.
The object of the present invention is to find a method which enables an imbalance compensation, with which a precise balancing is possible, so that the machine can possibly be built without flexible storage, which makes it cheaper and lighter without it being possible to set it up on a special foundation , and that their minimal vibrations during centrifugation can be transferred to the environment without danger. It should also be possible to set up this balancing machine on any floor of a building. It should also be possible to carry out balancing during centrifuge operation, in the case when the mass of the unbalance has changed due to the advanced drainage.
This should make corrections to the balancing possible and executable at any time after changing force situations.
This object is achieved in a method for balancing a washing centrifuge of the type described at the outset in that the position of the unbalanced mass on a peripheral region of the rotating drum is determined by determining a phase shift between the phase profile of the rotation of the unbalanced mass and a drum rotating on the peripheral of the drum Mark is determined, the phase profiles being recorded at a point on the orbit of the drum, that the unbalanced mass range in the drum is located relative to the compensation chambers in accordance with the phase angle determined, and accordingly that the liquid serving as counter mass is in one or some of the compensation chambers in each case in the quantities that are necessary to balance the unbalance.
This measure has made it possible to precisely locate the position of the unbalanced mass within the drum and to fill the countermass in a corresponding manner into the compensation chambers, as a result of which the centrifuge drum runs in a satisfactorily balanced manner. It is not pursued to achieve a perfectly ideal balancing, but the unbalance compensation is only carried out when a predetermined unbalance force size is determined to be exceeded and is ended when the unbalance force has already been reduced below this size. Advantageous exemplary embodiments of the invention are specified in the further dependent patent claims.
The invention and the devices used for this purpose are described and explained in more detail below. This refers to drawings that show:
1 to 3 schematically the location of the unbalanced mass according to the invention and the determination of the attachment of the counter mass in the compensation chambers,
Fig. 4 schematically shows a program for applying the counter mass in the compensation chambers as a result of the location of the unbalance mass based on the schemes in Figs. 1-3, Fig. 5 graphically shows a phase curve of the rotating unbalance in the form of a sinusoid, in which the phase shift and the 6 and 7 are two examples of a washing centrifuge in a partial, longitudinal-axial section,

Fig.
12 schematically control apparatuses for balancing according to the invention.
A washing centrifuge 24 has a rotatably mounted centrifuge drum 25 in a housing, in which an unbalanced mass is located on a peripheral region of the drum 25.
After the unbalance has been determined and located, a counterweight 26 is attached to a corresponding peripheral region of the drum 25. This is done by supplying a quantity of a liquid into one or some of the equalizing chambers 21, 22 and 23, one of which, 21, can be seen in FIG. 6, the other being evenly distributed on the circumference of the drum 25.
The position of the unbalanced mass 27 on a circumferential area 1 to 12, as will be explained later on using the division schemes in FIGS. 1, 2 and 3, is located in the rotating drum by determining a phase shift between the phase profile of the rotating unbalanced masses 27, as shown in FIG 5 is shown by the sinusoids and the phase profile of a mark 28 arranged at one point on the drum circumference, which phase profile is shown in FIG. 5 on the horizontal axis.
The phase profiles are tracked at a point on the orbit of the drum 25. For the phase profile of the unbalanced mass 27, these points are the point which is designated by 30 in FIG. 6 and designated by 31 in FIG. The location of the mark 28 can be seen on the drum 25 in FIG. 6 on the left. The point at which this phase profile is tracked is designated 29 on the left in FIG.
At these two points, the phase shift (p between the rotating unbalanced mass 27 and the mark 28 is detected, and the position of the unbalanced mass 27 in the drum 25 is thus located, always relative to the compensating chambers 21, 22, 23, which are even on the circumference According to the location of the unbalanced mass in an unbalanced mass region, in a region 1 to 12 in FIGS. 1 to 3 of the circumference of the centrifuge drum 25, the liquid serving as counter mass 26 is introduced into one or some of the compensation chambers 21, 22 and 23 in each case in the quantities necessary for balancing, this process is described in detail below.
If we look at FIG. 1, we see double circles, each designated with numbers 21, 22 and 23 and which in the diagram represent the compensation chamber as they are evenly distributed and arranged on the circumference of the centrifuge drum. So it is a schematic front view of the centrifuge drum. In each case above, designated as U and 27, the point is shown where the unbalance or the pressure exerted by the unbalanced mass 27 is recorded, measured or ascertained. This point is aligned with the control point 29, where the passage of the mark M, 28 is registered. At the bottom of the picture, labeled A and 26 is the point in which direction the counter mass 26 acts to balance the unbalance when the centrifuge drum rotates.
In the selected case, the drum with the mark M, which is otherwise designated 28, is provided and fastened at the location on the centrifuge drum where there is one, say the first compensation chamber 21.
If we now consider FIG. 1, the maximum pressure caused by the unbalance has been reached and signals at point 27, that is to say in the segment of the circle which is designated by 1. At the same moment, the compensation chamber 21 with the mark M was in the circular segment 11. When rotating, it passed the control point 29, which is aligned with the point U or 30, with a time delay from which a phase shift in the phase angle p = 3000 is shown in this Case is calculated. This means that the unbalance is located exactly in the middle between the equalizing chambers 21 and 23. This also means that to compensate for this imbalance, the opposite compensation chamber 22 must be filled with counterweight.
This means that a corresponding amount of the liquid serving as counter mass must be filled into this compensation chamber 22 as counter mass 26.
It should be said here immediately that the equalizing chambers 21, 22 and 23 are designed in this exemplary embodiment as hollow ribs which extend from one end face to the other end face of the drum 25 and lie parallel to the drum axis. These ribs also serve to support the washing process during washing. In the following, the equalization chambers are called ribs. One of these ribs, the 21, is also shown in FIG. 6.
If one now looks at FIG. 2, at the moment of the greatest unbalance pressure, the mark M, i.e. the rib 21, also in the circular segment 1. There is therefore no angular displacement between the moment of the greatest pressure and the position of the rib 21. This means that the unbalance lies on the rib 21 or on its area in the drum 25. This results from this that to compensate for this imbalance, the ribs 22 and 23 each have to be filled with half of the counterweight to achieve the imbalance compensation.
If we look at the example shown in FIG. 3, we see that the greatest unbalance pressure was determined or indicated at the moment where the mark with the rib 21 was in the area of the circular segment 12, so that in this case it was a phase shift or Phase angle of 3300. The result of this is that the ribs 22 and 23 must be filled asymmetrically in order to balance the unbalance, namely the rib 23 with 75% and the rib 22 with 25% of the counter mass in order to achieve the unbalance compensation.
FIG. 4 shows a table which in itself represents a command program for filling the individual ribs 21, 22 and 23 in the twelve positions of the unbalanced mass in the centrifuge drum 25 assumed in this example described. Briefly explained, row 1 states: that the unbalance is in the circular segment 1 on the rib 21, so that the ribs 22 and 23 must be filled symmetrically with one half of the balancing mass required for unbalance compensation. In row 2, the unbalanced mass is asymmetrical between the ribs 21 and 22, closer to the rib 21. For this reason, the counter mass must also be filled asymmetrically into the ribs, namely from 75% into the rib 22 and from 25% into the rib 23 .
Row 3 shows the situation where the phase angle is 600 and where the unbalance is symmetrical between the ribs 21 and 22. Accordingly, the entire counter mass must be filled into the rib 23.
The other rows 4 to 12 do not need to be described because the situations there are similar to the ones described above, if you take into account that the phase angle is 300 times larger, until the program for the whole circle of 3600 is determined. The hatched areas indicate a first phase of filling, the black the second phase, refilling, as will be explained below.
It goes without saying that any position of the unbalanced mass can be located and compensated for according to this program.
In Figure 8, the unbalance compensation is shown graphically using vectors. The PIU is the unbalance quantity that is tolerated and that does not have to be compensated for by the system. This means that the compensation only begins when the unbalance is larger than this Fiu size and that the unbalance compensation stops when the unbalance size is equal to or smaller than this size PTU. In Figure 8, the vector of the entire unbalance is shown with PU. As can be seen from the figure, it was found that the unbalanced mass between the ribs 21 and 22 lies exactly in the middle. To compensate for imbalance in this case, it is therefore necessary to fill the rib 23 with a countermass which corresponds to the vector PA.
It can be seen that the entire unbalance has not yet been compensated for, but only to the extent that the effects of the unbalance are still within the tolerated PTU limit.
It is also visible that the phase angle cp has thus decreased, namely from the original size between the position given by the position of the mark 28 and the position of the vector PU to a position between the position of the mark 28 and the small vector FIU.
In FIG. 9, vectors are used to show how the unbalance is compensated for if the unbalance mass is asymmetrical between two ribs, namely closer to the rib 21 than to the rib 22. In this case, the unbalance compensation will be carried out in two processes. The whole imbalance is labeled with the vector PUI. In this case, too, we do not want to bring the unbalance to zero, but to a tolerance limit that is designated by the vector and the circle PTU. The phase angle lies between the line of the mark 28 and the vector PUI. In the program for the asymmetrical filling of the ribs 22 and 23, as previously described, an attempt is first made to achieve symmetry by asymmetrically filling the ribs.
This is done by filling the rib 23 with a counter mass the size of the vector PAI. It can be seen that the original phase angle cp has disappeared, i.e. that the position of the ribs 22 and 23 has been symmetrized.
In this vector situation, it is now necessary to fill up the two ribs 22 and 23 which are still to be filled symmetrically with the same countermass, which is shown in the graphic with the vectors PA2 and PA3 and is indicated darkly in the rib. The two previously described steps are shown divided in FIG. 10 and in FIG. 11 in the vector drawing.
The centrifuge according to FIG. 6 is set up to carry out the imbalance compensation according to the invention as follows: the drum 25 is mounted on a narrower neck piece in a housing. A fixed bearing is provided on the left of the neck piece. The bearing on the right is a hydrostatic bearing.
At point 30, a pressure gauge 32 is connected to a hydrostatic element of the hydrostatic bearing, in which a different pressure can be determined when the centrifuge drum rotates due to the unbalance effect. The phase curve of this pressure can be represented with a sinusoid, as previously described with FIG. 5. This pressure meter 32 is set up in such a way that when it detects a pressure which is above the tolerated limit mentioned, it gives a signal for switching on the measuring and regulating system which is to be used for measuring or balancing. Since then there is always a signal via the pressure gauge 32 when a maximum pressure occurs in the can, i.e. when the unbalanced mass passes this control point 32, which is fixed on the orbit of the rotating centrifuge drum.
In the figure to the left of this, a mark 28 is provided on the neck of the drum 25. At the circumference it is aligned in the axial direction with the rib 21. Aligned with the point 30, a sensor of an initiator 34 is attached to the housing at a point 29 on the orbit of the centrifuge drum 25 as a control point for the passage of the mark 28 under the sensor of the initiator 34. These two control points, the point 30 with the pressure gauge 32 and the point 29 with the sensor of the initiator 34, are located in a plane in which the housing or machine axis line also lies. This allows the phase angle to be directly between the time interval the signal given from the pressure gauge 32 and the signal given from the initiator 34 can be read.
The intervals of these signals also indicate the rotational frequency of the drum 25.
Positions 30 and 29 could also be on two levels.
The arrangement would be possible, but less advantageous.
As shown in Figure 7, the centrifuge drum 25 is mounted on the narrow neck on the left and right with fixed, radially rigid bearings. The phase profile of the unbalance is in this case measured at a point 31 and determined where a distance meter 33, e.g. a differential transformer is provided between the machine housing and the foundation. This odometer is also able to determine the size, i.e. determine the amplitude of the unbalance effect when the centrifuge drum rotates, as well as the moment of maximum load.
The intervals of the signals naturally also indicate the rotational frequency of the drum 25.
After determining the unbalance position within the centrifuge drum 25, the counterweight is attached, i.e. the liquid serving as a counter mass in the ribs concerned, as previously described. Accordingly, the water valves 41, 42 and 43 shown in FIG. 7 are opened as required, one of which is responsible for a rib to be filled. In the flow direction behind each valve, a nozzle 44 is provided on an annular channel 40. Each of the channels 40 is connected to one of the three ribs for filling them.
E.g. the channel 40, into which the nozzle 44 opens, is connected to the rib 21. In this way, the individual ribs 21, 22 and 23 can be filled via the valves 41, 42 and 43 as required.
FIG. 12 shows a device for automating the previously described unbalance compensation in the basic scheme. Signals that come from the pressure cell 30 or from the odometer 33 and the initiator 34 are processed in a keyphasor to indicate the phase angle in view of the rotational frequency of the centrifuge drum, which is also input via these sensors. This value is transmitted to a command generator 37. This is in itself a computer where the specification of the phase angle is converted into the location of the unbalanced mass in the centrifuge drum and it is determined which control of the water valves 41, 42 and 43 e.g. according to the program shown in FIG. 4.
In other words, a phase angle, e.g. 2100 found. This means that the weight is in the circular segment 8 and that the ribs 21 and 22 are to be filled asymmetrically with the counter mass.
As previously mentioned, the valves 41, 42 and 43 close at the moment when the magnitude of the unbalance force has fallen below the predetermined tolerance limit. The unbalance control, which starts from the two measuring points, is continued automatically. When a circumstance arises where the original unbalance mass has decreased due to the draining. This can lead to an unbalance, since the counter mass is larger than the current size of the original unbalanced mass at this moment. This means that imbalance is again detected at this moment, but in the opposite sense, which will be compensated for in the same way as previously described. In such a way that additional liquid is brought into the area of the unbalanced mass that has now sunk.
It was explained using the example of FIG. 8 that the original unbalance mass, indicated with the vector PU, has decreased significantly, so that the vector which acts from the rib 23 leads to the machine running unbalanced. To prevent this, a liquid serving as a balancing mass is now introduced symmetrically into the ribs 21 and 22 until the machine has calmed down, i.e. until the unbalance has dropped below the tolerance limit.
The technology covered by this application is in no way limited to the design of the drum with the three compensation chambers or ribs 21, 22 and 23.
Not even to the 12 positions to be located in the circle specified in Table 4. These measures can be changed if you want to achieve a finer location and finer regulation for the unbalance compensation. The execution of the automation of this unbalance compensation is to be carried out in accordance with known means to be used today.
