BESCHREIBUNG

Spulendurchmesser d entsprechenden Signalen zusammenarbeitet, aufweist.

DESCRIPTION
The invention relates to a method for measuring the length of the thread during the winding process on precision winding devices, the thread being guided essentially parallel to the jacket of the bobbin and being moved back and forth in one stroke, and a device for carrying out the method.
In precision winding machines, the thread is laid by a thread guide that is moved back and forth in strokes in front of the directly driven bobbin and is also driven by the bobbin drive. The thread is thus applied to the bobbin in controlled, precise turns.
The invention has for its object to provide methods and devices for performing these methods for the length measurement on such precision winding machines.
This object is achieved with the method according to the features of the characterizing parts of each of claims 1 and 3 and with the device according to the features of the characterizing part of claim 5.
The method according to claim 1 can advantageously be configured with the features of claim 2. These measures result in a higher accuracy of the length measurement.
The method according to claim 3 can advantageously be provided with the features of claim 4, whereby the method can be simplified and the devices for carrying out the method can be manufactured more economically.
The device according to claim 5 can be provided with the signal evaluation device according to one of claims 6 or 11. To take into account the winding width of the coil, a device for determining the coil width can be provided according to claim 7. The devices according to claims 8, 9 and 10 can be used for diameter sensing in the device according to claim 6.
The advantages of these methods and devices are, in particular, a considerable reduction in material waste, and a more coordinated and therefore more rational further processing of the bobbins or the thread material of the bobbins.
In an exemplary method for measuring the length of the thread during winding on precision winding devices, the thread is guided by a thread guide essentially parallel to the jacket height of the bobbin. The thread guide moves back and forth in strokes and is firmly coupled to the bobbin drive and also driven by it. The strokes of the thread guide are somewhat larger than the winding width of the bobbin because of the helical laying of the thread on the bobbin.
To determine the instantaneous value of the length of thread wound on the spool, for example based on one or more strokes of the thread guide, the diameter of the spool is scanned at least once during one or more strokes. In addition, the number of revolutions of the spool performed during one stroke is determined. Instead of referring to one or more strokes, these parameter values can be determined during a fraction of a stroke. It would also be possible to use a different reference interval coupled to the coil drive as the sampling cycle. A predefined thread length interval could even be assumed as the scanning cycle. This instantaneous value, determined in this way, of the thread length wound on the bobbin per few strokes is in each case added to the value of the thread length of the preceding series of strokes.
The value at the start of the measurement, i.e. the 0th series of strokes, is set to zero. In order to receive a switch-off signal or another control signal for triggering any machine functions, for example a thread cut, a subsequent automatic removal of the full bobbins and the insertion of empty bobbin tubes and the restart of the winding process, etc., the sum of the instantaneous values is given a predefined target Length compared.
When this setpoint is reached, such a control signal is generated and sent to other machine units.
To improve the accuracy of the length measurement, it is advantageous to take into account the changing winding width of the bobbin due to the thread laying geometry and kinematics. Again, one can refer to a stroke, a part of the stroke or several strokes, or use another previously determined sampling cycle, which is then the same for all measurements. This change in winding width or the instantaneous value of the winding width is determined essentially directly or indirectly from machine constants and the scanned coil diameter.
A simpler process variant results if you do not continuously scan and determine all parameters, but if you introduce corrections in definable correction cycles on the system geometry and the scanned diameter and the number of revolutions in the previously described process. Such correction cycles can be parts or multiples of the sampling cycles. Within each correction cycle, a correction value is determined as a function of the length of the correction cycle in the course of the method from the geometric relationships of the respective winding situation. This correction value can also be found in the corresponding empirical value tables. In particular, the type of thread and the thread material must also be taken into account.
This correction value which can be assigned to each correction cycle is added to the thread length relating to this correction cycle, and this corrected correction cycle thread length is added to that of the previous correction cycle. Just as in the first method, the scan cycle thread lengths are added up cycle by cycle. Until the subtotal reaches the predetermined value and then on again
Control signal for triggering other machine functions is generated. The ones corresponding to the winding process
Correction values could also be determined continuously and only at
Approximation to the nominal thread length as an end value or in this phase the correction values are added in smaller correction cycles.
In a further modification, the correction cycles can also be in a variable ratio to the sampling cycle.
For example, variant embodiments of devices for carrying out the exemplary methods mentioned are described with reference to the drawing. In this shows

Fig. 4 shows the geometric conditions for loading the coil width b.
A length measuring device for threads (Fig. 5), in particular special on precision winding devices or precision winding machines, has a diameter sensing device 2.0, which has a diameter or angle encoder device
2.1, which is arranged on the pivotable coil carrier 1.3 and with an angle sensor 2.2 for generating the
Coils diameter d corresponding signals cooperates. The angular deflection of the coil 1.2 is caused by its contact with the stationary pressure roller 1.4.
In addition, the length measuring device contains a rotation scanner 3.0, which one with the
Coil shaft 1.2 cooperating rotation sensor 3.1 for generating at least one signal per coil shaft revolution. In particular, the coil shaft 1.2 can contain a transmitter device 3.2, which consists of one or more marks, one or more magnets, slots,
Mirror or the like can exist.
A signal evaluation device of the first type 4.10 (FIG. 5) is with its first input to the diameter scanner 2.0, with its second input to the rotation scanner, with its third input to a constant input station 5.1 and with its output to a control device 6.0 for generating signals connected for the control of at least one machine function or the control of peripheral devices of the machine.
This signal evaluation device of the first type 4.10 has a first circuit group 4.11 for determining the pitch angle a of the thread screw line on the bobbin, which is dependent on the bobbin diameter d, as a function of the signal of the diameter sensing device 2.0 and a signal supplied by the constant input station of the first type 5.1 for the value of the bobbin width b and that Gear ratio n (= quotient of the number of bobbin revolutions and the number of thread guide strokes) according to the formula.
EMI3.1
The output of this first circuit group 4.11 is at a second circuit group 4.12, the other inputs of which are each to the constant input station 5.0 of the first type for receiving the signal for the transmission ratio n and to the diameter scanner 2.0 for receiving the signal for the diameter or angle value of the coil 1.1 are connected. These signals are used to generate a signal which corresponds to the value of the thread length for a scanning cycle, which can be, for example, a stroke of the thread guide 1.5, according to the formula
EMI3.2
corresponds.
This signal is connected to a third circuit group 4.13, which is connected with its input to the revolution scanner 3.0 and, depending on the revolution signals, which are associated with the transmission ratio n to each stroke, i.e. one scan cycle, the sum of the thread lengths ui related to the scan cycle forms and generates a signal which is fed to a comparator 4.14. The signal for the desired length of the constant input station 5.1 is at the other input of the comparator 4.4. If the two signals are identical, a signal is output to a control device 6.0, which controls other machine functions directly or indirectly.
A signal evaluation device of the second type 4.20 (FIG. 6) has its first input on the diameter sensing device 2.0, these signals being fed to a first circuit arrangement 4.21 for the continuous determination of the coil width. In addition, this first circuit group 4.21 is connected via the second input of the signal evaluation device to a constant input station 5.2, from which it receives signals of the machine constants for the stroke a, the distance c of the thread guide 1.5 from the bobbin 1.1 and the transmission ratio n. The coil width b is determined by this circuit group 4.21 according to the formula
EMI3.3
is determined and a signal corresponding to this value is output to a second circuit group 4.22 for determining the pitch angle a.
This circuit group again determines the value a according to the formula
EMI3.4
from the signals for the coil diameter d coming from the third input of the signal evaluation device and signals for the transmission ratio n supplied via constant input station 5.2 and the signals mentioned for the coil width b. The output signal arrives at a third circuit group 4.23, which is still connected to the diameter scanner 2.0 and the constant input station 5.2 for receiving the signal for the transmission ratio. With these signals, it determines the thread length ui based on a scanning cycle, according to the formula
EMI4.1
and forwards these signals to a fourth circuit group 4.24 for the scanning cycle-wise addition of these thread lengths ui per scanning cycle.
This fourth circuit group 4.24 is connected with its other input to the revolution scanner 3.0. The output signal is output to a comparator, which is connected to the constant input station 5.2. If the signals are identical, an output signal is generated with which the signal evaluation device of the second type is connected to a control device 6.0, which controls other components of the machine, for example a storage device, and a bobbin changing device, a bobbin tube feed device, a bobbin transport device, etc.
A third type of signal evaluation device 4.30 (FIG. 7) has its first input on the diameter scanner 2.0, the signals of which, together with those for the constants sin a and the transmission ratio n, from a constant input station 5.3 for the determination of the thread length per scanning cycle according to the formula
EMI4.2
are applied to a first circuit group 4.31. The signals of the diameter scanner 2.0 are also fed to a second circuit group 4.32 for the diameter-dependent and correction cycle-dependent determination of correction values y.
The output signals of both the first and second circuit groups 4.31 and 4.32 are sent to a first and second input of a third circuit group 4.33 to form the sums from the thread lengths ui of the scanning cycles and the correction values y of the correction cycles as a function of the number of revolutions that are decisive for the correction cycles the rotation scanner 3.0, the signals of which are at a third input of the third circuit group 4.33. This also forms the total sum of the respective thread length formed from the correction sums and the scanning cycle thread length sums. The corresponding output signal is applied to a comparator 4.34, which receives the signal for the target length from the constant input station 5.3 and, if the two signals or the values corresponding to them are identical, outputs a signal to a control device 6.0 for the machine.
The correction cycles are formed in the third circuit group either in a fixed or variable ratio to the number of revolutions signals of the revolving scanner 3.0. The correction cycles can also be formed in relation to the scanning cycles for the diameter values of the coil 1.1. However, it is also possible for the correction signals to be emitted from the second circuit group 4.32 to the third circuit group 4.33 already in correction cycle cycles and to add these to the thread lengths or thread length subtotals only in accordance with the sampling cycle.
For the formation of the correction sampling cycles in the respective signal evaluation devices, a wide variety of concepts are provided according to the invention, which still provide usable length measurement results.
Various arrangements can be used for the diameter scanning devices. In the case of a fixed bobbin, for example, it is possible to tap the bobbin diameter with a deflectable pressure roller or a deflectable thread guide.
Another variant of a diameter scanning device 2.0 has a light source 2.5 forming a light curtain 2.4 and, opposite this, an array-like detector 2.6. The light source and detector are arranged on both sides of the coil 1.1 or a component which changes its position proportionally with the diameter of the coil 1.1, for example the coil carrier. Each diameter of the coil 1.1 delivers a different signal proportional to it.
