Abstract

The perfume diffuser has a small bottle (2) that is closed by a stopper (5) screwed on the neck of the bottle. A tube (4) passes through the stopper and extends half way down the bottle. It has a piece of spongy material (3) on its lower end. The stopper has porous material (6) fixed on its upper surface. A chain (8) is bonded or screwed to the porous material so that the diffuser can be suspended. The perfume is expanded by heat and rises up the tube and intothe porous material from which it slowly evaporates. USE - The perfume diffuser is for use in a vehicle.

Description

   DESCRIPTION

   DESCRIPTION

The present invention relates to a perfume diffuser, comprising a container closed by a stopper.

Patent GB-2006012 relates to a diffuser for a volatile product. It comprises a container with a threaded neck onto which an H-shaped cover is screwed. A tube passes through the main branch of the
H, filled with an absorbent material, while its lower part is pierced with a small hole. A plug of capillary material rests between the legs of the H and on the end of the tube and is in contact with the absorbent material of the tube.

In patent GB-2 102293, a device for evaporating a solution, for example a perfume or an insecticide, is described. It includes a threaded neck container into which is screwed a bowl filled with an absorbent material. In the center of the bowl is a plastic dome which has, at its base, communication holes with the absorbent material. The center of the bowl contains a feed tube which extends almost to the bottom of the container and which is curved at the top
in the dome. By pressing on the plastic dome, pressure is produced on the solution through a communication hole provided in the bowl and the solution rises in the supply tube and flows into said bowl to soak up the absorbent material. .

The object of the present invention is to provide a perfume diffuser of simple construction, used in vehicles acting under the effect of heat, and operating only when the vehicle is running, and which can be filled with perfume at the option of the user.

This object is achieved in accordance with the invention with a perfume diffuser arranged as defined in claim 1.

The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, embodiments of the perfume diffuser object of the invention.

Fig. 1 is a sectional view of the first embodiment.

Figs. 2 and 3 are sectional views of two other embodiments.

The fragrance diffuser shown in fig. 1 comprises a container 2, in this case a small bottle, hermetically closed by a screw cap 5 traversed in its center by a tube 4, the tube 4 extending in the container 2 and its upper part up to the ridge the spongy material 6. The lower part of the tube 4 is provided with a ball of spongy material 3. The upper part of the tube 4 is provided with a ball of spongy material 6. This ball or other shape can be of any what absorbent material.

The attachment of the fragrance diffuser is made by means of a chain 8 which is attached to the sponge ball 6 by gluing or screwing.

The perfume diffuser described is intended to be placed in motor vehicles. The rise of the perfume in the tube 4 takes place under the effect of heat. The oscillations of the diffuser in a moving vehicle propel the level 1 scent against the porous material 3. The porous material 3 is soaked with perfume. The expansion of the vapors contained in the container 2 causes a drop of perfume contained in the porous material 3 to rise in the tube 4. The drop of perfume soaks the spongy material 6 and evaporates slowly in the passenger compartment of the vehicle. The diffusers shown in Figure 2 and 3 are similar to that of Figure 1, but the spongy part 3 has been replaced by a sensor. In this way, the diffuser works again, even when the vehicle is stopped.
